Consignes de sécurité
Veuillez observer le dessin d’outil sur la partie intérieure avant!
IPour travailler en toute sécurité avec l’appareil, il convient de
lire soigneusement la notice d’emploi et d’entretien, ainsi que
les consignes de sécurité, et d’observer les directives corres-
pondantes. Veuillez vous faire donner des conseils pratiques
avant la première utilisation.
IVérifiez le câble et la fiche de l’appareil avant chaque utilisation. En
cas de détérioration, les faire réparer par un homme de l’art.
IAfin d’éviter tous risques, si le câble de connexion est
endommagé, celui-ci doit être remplacé par le fabricant ou son
service de réparation.
IAvant de commencer à travailler avec un burin, assurez vous que le
sélecteur de fonction (H) ne se trouve en aucun cas sur la position
‘perçage par percussion’ (seulement pour SPIT 352).
IL’appareil ne doit jamais être utilisé sans poignée orientable (I).
IL’appareil est muni d’un limiteur de couple qui protège l’opérateur en
cas de coincement de la mèche. Ce couple n’est toutefois contrô-
lé que si l’utilisateur tient fermement l’appareil à deux mains
en ayant un appui stable (ce qui exclut par ex. l’utilisation
sur une échelle).
IL’appareil ne doit jamais être humide, ni être utilisé dans un
environnement humide.
ILe port de lunettes de protection, d’une protection acoustique, d’un
masque de protection anti-poussière, ainsi que de gants de protec-
tion et de chaussures de sécurité, est obligatoire.
INe branchez la fiche du câble de l’appareil au secteur que si
l’appareil est hors service.
IN’approchez jamais les mains de la mèche en rotation.
IFaites attention aux canalisations électriques et aux tuyauteries de
gaz et d’eau se trouvant dans les murs.
IN’utilisez que des accessoires d’origine.
En cas de non-respect des instructions de
sécurité et des prescriptions des accidents, il
y a un risque de blessure!

La valeur du niveau de vibration indiquée dans ces instructions d’utilisation a été mesurée
conformément à la norme EN 60745 et peut être utilisée pour une comparaison d’outils
électroportatifs. Elle est également appropriée pour une estimation préliminaire de la sollicita-
tion vibratoire. La valeur du niveau de vibration représente les utilisations principales de l’outil
électroportatif.
Si l’outil électroportatif est cependant utilisé pour d’autres applications, avec d’autres outils
de travail ou avec un entretien non approprié, la valeur du niveau de vibration peut être dif-
férente. Ceci peut augmenter considérablement la sollicitation vibratoire pendant toute la
durée de travail. Pour une estimation précise de la sollicitation vibratoire, il est recomman-
dé de prendre aussi en considération les espaces de temps pendant lesquels l’appareil est
éteint ou en fonctionnement, mais pas vraiment utilisé. Ceci peut réduire considérablement
la sollicitation vibratoire pendant toute la durée de travail. Déterminez des mesures de pro-
tection supplémentaires pour protéger l’utilisateur des effets de vibrations, telles que par
exemple: Entretien de l’outil électroportatif et des outils de travail, maintenir les mains chau-
des, organisation des opérations de travail.

Le marteau 352 est uniquement destiné à buriner ou à percer princi-
palement les matières premières minérales (par ex. le béton armé,
l'ouvrage de maçonnerie, les carreaux, le grès argilo-calcaire, les lapis
routiers, ...) sans utilisation d'eau. Les matériaux qui produisent, pen-
dant l'usinage, des poussières ou vapeurs nuisibles à la santé, ne doi-
vent pas être travaillés. Une utilisation inappropriée (p. ex. mélanger)
peut occasionner des blessures ou endommager l'appareil.
Ceci est également valable pour le marteau-burineur SPIT 452, ce
dernier ne pouvant cependant être utilisé que pour buriner et non pour
percer.
Attention à la tension du réseau: Elle doit correspondre aux indi-
cations de la plaque signalétique le l'appareil.
Faire glisser l'outil par le capuchon anti-poussière (K) dans le porte-
outil. Tirer ensuite vers l'arrière le verrouillage d'outil (J) et faire tourner
l'outil jusqu'à ce qu'il soit inséré dans l'appareil. L'outil est verrouillé
dès que le verrouillage d'outil est relâché.
Tirer sur l'outil pour vérifier s'il est bien verrouillé. Des outils non
verrouillés de façon sure peuvent provoquer des blessures. Il est
important de bien nettoyer la queue de l'outil et de la lubrifier légère-
ment au besoin. Vérifier également que le capuchon assure une
bonne étanchéité sur la queue de l'outil. Remplacer tout capuchon
usé.
Retirer le verrouillage d’outil (J) et sortir l’outil en tirant dans la direc-
tion opposée.
Attention! Les outils deviennent extrêmement chauds lors du travail,
c'est pourquoi ils ne doivent jamais être saisis à main nue. Il y a un
risque de blessure!
Lorsque la fiche de secteur est enfichée et que la tension de réseau
est présente, l’indication de raccordement au réseau verte (F) doit
s’allumer. S’il est impossible de mettre l’appareil en marche alors que
l’indication de raccordement au réseau est allumée, l’appareil doit être
envoyé dans un atelier SPIT ou dans un service de réparation SPIT
agréé en vue d’un contrôle.
Lorsque les balais de charbon sont usés, l’appareil se déconnecte
automatiquement. Ce processus est annoncé env. 8 heures aupara-
vant par le biais d’une indication service rouge (G) qui s’allume. Au
plus tard après la déconnexion des balais de charbon, un service de
routine est nécessaire (voir également le paragraphe ‘Entretien’)

La rotation de la poignée orientable (I) est de 360°. La rotation du
manchon(1) de la poignée desserre la poignée.
Resserrer soigneusement le manchon après obtention du réglage
souhaité.
La jauge de profondeur (A) est desserrée ou serrée en tournant la poi-
gnée (1).
La poignée supplémentaire (l) est construite de manière symétrique tel
que l’axe de la poignée puisse également être fixé à droite de l’axe
d’outil de l’appareil (avantageux pour les gauchers).
La rotation de la poignée orientable est de 360°. La rotation du man-
chon (1) de la poignée desserre la poignée.
Resserrer soigneusement le manchon après obtention du réglage
souhaité.
La poignée supplémentaire est construite de manière symétrique tel
que l’axe de la poignée puisse également être fixé à droite de l’axe
d’outil de l’appareil (avantageux pour les gauchers).
Le sélecteur de fonction (H) permet une sélection entre 'roto per-
cussion' et 'percussion sans rotation' = 'burinage'.

Un niveau à bulle (B) intégré dans le boîtier latéral permet un perçage
horizontal exact.
Un niveau à bulle sphérique (C) intégré dans la protection latérale per-
met un perçage vertical exact.
L'interrupteur électronique (D) est conçu pour une adaptation en
continu de la vitesse de rotation et/ou de l'énergie d'impact aux
conditions d'utilisation (crépi, carrelage, brique, béton).
Plus l’interrupteur est enfoncé, plus la vitesse de rotation et/ou l’éner-
gie d’impact augmentent.
Après avoir introduit l'outil dans le porte-outil et réglé le sélecteur de
fonction (H) dans la position adaptée, appuyer la machine contre le
support et actionner l'interrupteur électronique (D).
Pour arrêter la machine, relâcher l'interrupteur électronique (D) sans
oublier de tendre l'appareil fermement à deux mains.
Le SPIT 352 possède un limiteur de couple. Lorsque le foret se
bloque, le limiteur de couple arrête la rotation, ce qui évite une perte
de contrôle de l'appareil..
L'appareil doit être tenu fermement à deux poignées (I) et (E) et l'utili-
sateur doit avoir un appui stable (ce qui exclut tout travail sur une
échelle par exemple).
Le SPIT 452 dispose d’un blocage de l’interrupteur permettant, lors
du burinage, un travail confortable du fait qu’il n’est pas nécessaire
d’enfoncer l’interrupteur électronique (D) lors du fonctionnement.
Pour bloquer l’interrupteur (D), le tirer entièrement vers l’arrière (1),
puis le tirer vers le haut (2) et le bloquer (3).
Pour le déblocage, appuyer simplement une deuxième fois sur l’inter-
rupteur (D).
Pour le fonctionnement normal sans blocage, l’interrupteur (D) est uni-
quement maintenu enfoncé et n’est pas poussé vers le haut.

Avant tout intervention sur l'appareil proprement dit, toujours extrai-
re la fiche du cordon d'alimentation hors de la prise électrique!
N'utiliser que des outils propres, bien affûtés et lubrifiés. Remplacer tout
capuchon anti-poussière (K) usé.
Toujours maintenir la grille d'aération parfaitement propre et dégagée.
L'appareil est munis de charbons auto-coupants. Lorsque les charbons
sont usés, le moteur est automatiquement mis hors tension. La décon-
nexion est annoncée env. 8 heures auparavant par la lampe service (G).
Une intervention de maintenance systématique est alors requise.
Tous les travaux d'entretien et de réparation devront être exécutés par les
ateliers SPIT ou par un service de réparation autorisé par SPIT. En cas de
demande de renseignements complémentaires, sélectionnez un des
numéros de téléphone mentionnés (sur la page de couverture intérieure de
derrière).
SPIT n'assumera aucune responsabilité pour les appareils qui n'ont pas
été entretenus, réparés ou modifiés dans les ateliers formellement autori-
sés par SPIT.
Pour éviter des accidents, des blessures ou des dégâts à l'appareil, nous
recommandons de faire entretenir l'appareil à des intervalles de temps
réguliers – en fonction de la fréquence d'utilisation.

IThis machine can be operated safely only when the operating
instructions have been completely read and strictly observed
to. It is recommended to receive practical instruction before
using the machine for the first time.
IAlways inspect cable and plug before using the machine. Have
damage repaired only by a qualified professional.
IIn order to avoid any risks, the connecting cable - if damaged -
has to be replaced by the manufacturer or his agency.
IBefore starting chiselling, ensure that the function selector switch (H)
is in no case in the position ‘hammer drilling’ (only for SPIT 352).
INever use the machine without the additional handle (I).
IThe machine is equipped with a safety clutch which allows only a
reduced speed in case of blocking. However this speed can only be
held when holding the machine concentrated on both handles
and a safe stand (e.g. not on a ladder) is assured.
IThe machine must not be used when damp and must not be
operated in wet environment.
IUse safety glasses, ear protectors, dust protection mask as well as
wear protective gloves and safety shoes.
IInsert plug in power supply socket only when machine is switched
off.

The vibration emission level given in this information sheet has been measured in
accordance with a standardised test given in EN 60745 and may be used to com-
pare one tool with another. It may be used for a preliminary assessment of exposure.
The declared vibration emission level represents the main applications of the tool.
However if the tool is used for different applications, with different accessories or
poorly maintained, the vibration emission may differ. This may significantly increase
the exposure level over the total working period.
An estimation of the level of exposure to vibration should also take into account the
times when the tool is switched off or when it is running but not actually doing the
job. This may significantly reduce the exposure level over the total working period.
Identify additional safety measures to protect the operator from the effects of vibra-
tion such as: maintain the tool and the accessories, keep the hands warm, organisa-
tion of work patterns.

The combi hammer 352 is solely determined for chiselling and ham-
mer drilling of mainly mineral materials (e.g. reinforced concrete,
masonry, tiles, limestone, pavements, ...) without water. Materials
releasing noxious dust or steam during the work may not be treated.
Improper use (e.g. mixing) may cause injury or damage the tool.
The same applies to the chiselling hammer SPIT 452. This hammer,
however, can only be used for chiselling (not drilling).
Consider the main voltage: The voltage of the source of supply is
the same that shown on the information plate on the equipment.
Push the tool through the dust protection cap (K) in the tool fixing.
Then pull back the look lock (J) and turn the tool until it can be inser-
ted into the machine. The tool is locked as soon as it is released.
Check whether it is properly locked by pulling hard on the tool.
Tools that are not securely locked into position may cause injury. It is
important that the tool shank is always cleaned carefully and if neces-
sary lubricated. Furthermore it has to be checked if the dust prote-
ction cap seals completely at the tool shank. Worn dust protection
caps have to be changed.
Withdraw the tool lock (J) and pull out the tool in opposite direction.
Warning! The tool becomes hot during use. For this reason, never
touch with your bare hands (risk of injury)!
The power indicator (F) will light up when plug is inserted. If it is impos-
sible to start the tool even when the green light is on, the tool must be
forwarded to a SPIT after-sales service or to an after-sales service sta-
tion formally approved by SPIT.
When the brushes are worn, the motor will switch off automatically.
This will be indicated about 8 hours in advance by the red service light
(G).
When the brushes are disconnecting, then by the latest, a routine-ser-
vice is necessary (see also the paragraph 'maintenance').

The depth adjustment (A) is both released and clamped by turning the
handle end (1).
The symmetrical construction of the adjustable handle (I) makes it
possible that the handle axis can also be fixed on the right side of the
tool axis (advantageous for left-handers).
The additional handle is fully adjustable around 360°.

The water level (B) integrated in the housing enables an exact, hori-
zontal drilling.
The round water level (C) integrated in the housing enables an exact,
vertical drilling.
The electronic switch (D) is optimized to enable a continuous adjust-
ment of the rotation speed and / or impact energy to all possible wor-
king conditions (plaster, tiling, brick, concrete).
The further you press the switch, the higher the rotation speed and /
or impact energy.
Having inserted the tool in the tool fixing and put the function selector
switch (H) in the right position, press the tool against the support and
operate the electronic switch (D).
To stop the tool, release the electronic switch (D) while holding the tool
firmly on both handles.
The SPIT 352 is equipped with a safety clutch which allows only a
reduced speed in case of blocking. It is adjusted in a way, so the safe-
ty clutch will not react too easily even when working with large core
drill bits.
Therefore the machine needs to be held concentrated on both han-
dles (I) and (E) and a safe stand (e.g. not on a ladder) has to be as-
sured.
The SPIT 452 is equipped with a switch lock. This feature guarantees
a comfortable chiselling since it is not necessary to press the electro-
nic switch (D) during the work.
To activate the switch lock, press the switch (D) completely (1), then
lift up (2) and clamp (3).
Just press the switch (D) a second time to unlock.
For normal working without the switch lock, just press the switch (D)
without lifting it up.

Before using the tool, always take plug out of the socket!
Use only clean and lubricated tools. Change worn dust protection caps (K).
Keep the venting slots clean.
The machine has self-disconnecting carbon brushes. When the
brushes are worn, the motor will switch off automatically. This will be
indicated about 8 hours in advance by the red service light (G). Then a
routine-service is necessary.
Any maintenance or repair work must be carried out in the SPIT after-sales
service or in an after-sales service station formally approved by SPIT.

this booklet.
SPIT will not be responsible for any tools which have been maintained,
repaired or modified by agents not formally approved by SPIT.
We advise you to bring the tool in regular times in service for maintenance
according to the frequency of usage in order to prevent accidents, injuries
or the damage of the tool.
