Moving and Packing the SRI 8610C,D or V and
310C GC for shipping
ENSURE that all 6 screws holding
the bottom cover are fastened.
Lift the 8610C&D model GCs as
shown to right.
Lift the Model 310C GC as shown.

The photos in this document
show the 8610C GC, but the
310C GC is very similar except a
little smaller in size.
Place the SRI 8610C GC on the
blue foam. The foam has holes for
the GC feet to sit in.
Place the black foam on top of the
GC. Then put the cardboard
angles on the front and back.
Tighten the two webbing straps to
hold everything in place.

Holding the GC by the straps,
lower the GC into the shipping
container. The container may be
grey, blue or red in color, but they
are all the same size. There is
room around the sides of the GC
to insert accessories such as
manuals, software, cables etc.
There may be room for a small
computer as well.
Secure the top of the container
with two bolts. If the bolts are
missing or lost, you can use tie-
wraps or wire.
The SRI GC is now ready for ship-
ment via FedEx, UPS or as airline
baggage.
Don’t forget to include your contact
information inside the box in case
the shipping label on the outside is
lost. When sending a GC to SRI
please also include a description
of the problem, and a contact tele-
phone number.
