4. Operation
4.1 Basic Start-up
1. Confirm the battery is connected. Turn on any external battery cabinet breakers (if applicable).
2. Confirm the transformer cabinet is connected. Turn on the transformer cabinet input transformer breaker.
3. Turn ON the bypass breaker.
4. Turn ON the main input breaker.
5. Turn ON the output breaker.
6. The inverter will perform a slow startup and build up to nominal voltage. The UPS will transfer to Online Mode or ECO
Mode (if enabled) within one to two minutes.
7. Turn on the transformer cabinet output transformer breaker.
8. Confirm no active alarms are present.
4.2 UPS Shutdown
After the following procedure has completed, the UPS will be powered off and the connected load will not be supported.
1. With the UPS in Online Mode or ECO Mode, stop the inverter using the display menu (Home > Common > Single
OFF). The UPS will transfer to Bypass Mode. Confirm the bypass LED is illuminated and the LCD displays Bypass
Mode before proceeding.
2. Turn OFF the transformer cabinet output transformer breaker. The connected load will be dropped.
3. Turn OFF the output breaker.
4. Turn OFF the main input breaker.
5. Turn OFF the bypass breaker. The UPS will power down shortly afterwards.
6. Turn OFF the transformer cabinet input transformer breaker.
7. Turn OFF the battery breaker from the external battery cabinet (if applicable).
4.3 Transfer to Maintenance BypassMode
The UPS will shut down when the following procedure is completed. However, power will continue to be supplied to the
output terminal block.
1. Remove the maintenance bypass breaker cover on the rear of the UPS by removing the two mounting screws. The
UPS will transfer to Bypass Mode automatically. Confirm the bypass LED is illuminated and the LCD displays
Maintenance Bypass before proceeding.
2. Turn ON the maintenance bypass breaker.
3. Turn OFF the transformer cabinet output transformer breaker.
4. Turn OFF the output breaker.
5. Turn OFF the main input breaker.
6. Turn OFF the bypass breaker. The UPS will power down shortly afterwards.
7. Turn OFF the transformer cabinet input transformer breaker.
8. Turn OFF the battery breaker from the external battery cabinet (if applicable). The load is now powered
through Maintenance Bypass.
