Gerätebeschreibung
Das Ladegerät bzw. die Ladestation mit Stecker-
netzteil dienen ausschließlich zum Wiederaufladen
des Li-Ion-Akkus, der in den KARL STORZ
Leuchten, Modelle 11301 DE, 11301 DF und
in der Akkubox 094124 der wiederaufladbaren
LED-Kopfleuchten 094120/094130 eingebaut sind.
Eigenmächtige Umbauten oder Veränderungen
des Gerätes sind aus Sicherheitsgründen nicht
zugelassen.
Bei unsachgemäßer Handhabung, Fehlgebrauch
oder zweckentfremdetem Einsatz übernimmt der
Hersteller keine Haftung.
Allgemeines
1Hinweis: Beim Ladegerät 094129 ist das
Netzkabel nicht im Lieferumfang des Lade-
gerätes enthalten.
In Europa benutzen Sie das Netzkabel mit Art.-
Nr.: 094127. In anderen Ländern beschaffen Sie ein
den national gültigen Vorschriften entsprechendes
Netzkabel, das geräteseitig mit einem Stecker nach
IEC 320 C7 ausgerüstet ist. Dieser passt in die
2-Stift-Buchse nach IEC 320 C8.
General information
Description of the device
The charger and charging station with AC adaptor
are used purely for recharging the Li-Ion recharge-
able battery used in KARL STORZ lights models
11301 DE and 11301 DF and in the battery box of
the rechargeable LED cap lamps 094120/094130.
Unauthorized modifications or alterations to the
device are not allowed for safety reasons.
The manufacturer will not be liable for damage
caused by improper handling, misuse or use con-
trary to the designated use.
1Note: With charger 094129, the power cord
is not part of the charger’s scope of supply.
In Europe, the mains cable of Art. No.: 094127
must be used. In other countries, you must pur-
chase a mains cable equipped, on the device side,
with a plug according to IEC 320 C7. This plug fits
the 2-pin socket according to IEC 320 C8.

El cargador o la estación de carga con alimen-
tador enchufable sirven exclusivamente para la
recarga de las pilas Li-ion que están integradas en
las lámparas KARL STORZ, modelos 11301 DE,
11301 DF y en la caja de pilas 094124 de las lám-
paras frontales de diodos luminosos recargables
094120/094130.
Queda prohibido, por razones de seguridad, cual-
quier reforma o modificación del equipo por cuenta
propia.
El fabricante no asume responsabilidad en caso de
un uso indebido e inadecuado del cargador
o su empleo con otros fines.
1Nota: El cable de la red no se incluye en el
suministro del cargador 094129.
Utilice en Europa el cable de la red con n° de
art.: 094127. En otros países habrá de adquirir un
cable adecuado que se ajuste a las normas nacio-
nales vigentes y que esté dotado de un enchufe
según la norma CEI 320 C7. Este enchufe encaja
en el conector de dos clavijas según CEI 320 C8.

Dieses Produkt ist nicht zum Betrieb in explosions-
gefährdeten Räumen geeignet. Beim Hineinfallen
des Ladegerätes oder der Ladestation in explosi-
onsgefährdete Bereiche kann durch Funken (her-
ausgehender Stecker/Schalter angeschlossener
Leuchte) ein explosives Gasgemisch entzündet
werden.
Beachte hierzu “Sicherheitsmaßnahmen am
Aufstellort”(sieheSeite7).
Warnung: Das Gerät ist ausschließlich für den
Gebrauch im Innenbereich vorgesehen und
sollte nicht mit Wasser und Staub in Berührung
kommen.

This product is not suitable for operation in rooms
subject to explosion hazards. In the event that the
charger or charging station falls into a potentially
explosive atmosphere, sparks (from connectors or
switches of a connected light being pulled out) can
ignite an explosive gas mixture.
Please also refer to ‘Safety precautions at the site
ofinstallation’(seepage7).
Warning: The device is intended exclusively for
indoor use and should not come into contact with
water and dust.
Warning: Prior to carrying out any work on the
device, disconnect the device from the mains.
Warning: Do not open the device!
Danger of an electrical shock. Arrange for service
work to be carried out by the manufacturer or by
personnel authorized by the manufacturer only (see
German Medical Device Directive §3). Any opening
of the device by unqualified persons will result in
the forfeiting all warranty claims.
Warning: The instructions of the manual and the
interface specifications of the medical products
used in combination must be adhered to the letter.
Warning: Prior to using the device, the user must
verify the functional safety and the proper condition
of the device. Should the device, connected cables
or plugs have any defects, the use of the device

Die Geräte dürfen nur in medizinisch genutzten

patient, make sure that you are familiar with how
the device works.
Designated use
The charger and charging station with AC adaptor
are used solely for recharging the Li-Ion recharge-
able battery used in KARL STORZ lights models
11301 DE and 11301 DF and in the battery box of
the rechargeable LED cap lamps 094120/094130.
Unauthorized modifications or alterations to the
device are not allowed for safety reasons.
The manufacturer will not be liable for damage
caused by improper handling, misuse or use con-
trary to the designated use.
Safety precautions at the site
of installation
These units may only be used in medical institu-
tions where the installations conform to applicable
national regulations. They are not designed for use
in potentially explosive atmospheres. This means,

Wherever highly inflammable inhalation anesthet-
ics and their mixtures are, used, the device may
not be operated in the demarcated hazard zone.

Installing the device
Set the charger up on a level surface away from
patients (if appropriate, the charging station stand
11301 DH).
Complete the AC adaptor with the power supply
adapter that fits the power supply socket. Insert
the appropriate power supply adaptor k...n into
the receptacle on the pAC adaptor as far as
it will go. The unit must only be operated within
the AC voltage range printed on it. Insert the AC
adaptor as far as it will go into an easily-accessible
socket. All the status displays will light up for
approx. 1 second (status display test). Following
this, the charging station is ready for use: Status
display oontheACadaptorandstatusdisplayf
on the charging station are illuminated green.
2Caution: If the status display eon the AC
adaptor is illuminated but the status display
Yon the charging station is not, discon-
nect the AC adaptor from the power supply
immediately and send the charging station
with AC adaptor for repair.

Recharging the battery

Operating the unit
Note: The charger must only be used if the electri-
cal installations comply with the applicable national
regulations.

Installing the device
Place the charger on a flat surface.
Get the mains cable and the light/battery box
whose battery is to be charged ready.
Operate the device only within the AC voltage
range printed on the device.
Recharging the battery
First ensure that the charger has been discon-
nected from the mains, and the lamp/battery box
has been switched off.
3Warning: When connecting the plug Eof
the charging cable to the socket Rof the
light/battery box, make sure that plug pins
are straight and do not become bent.

Puesta en marcha
Nota: El cargador sólo se podrá poner en servicio
si las instalaciones eléctricas de los espacios cum-
plen las normas nacionales vigentes.

Este aparato no puede ser usado en lugares
expuestos a posibles explosiones.
Colocación del aparato
Coloque el cargador sobre una superficie plana.
Prepare el cable de la red y la lámpara/caja de
pilas, cuya pila debe ser cargada.
El aparato puede funcionar sólo dentro del intervalo
de tensión alterna que se indica en el exterior del
equipo.
Recarga de las pilas
Cerciórese primero de que el cargador no esté
conectado a la red eléctrica y que la lámpara/caja
de pilas que se debe cargar esté desconectada.
3Cuidado: Al introducir el enchufe Edel
cable del cargador en la toma Rde la
lámpara/caja de pilas debe atenderse a que
las clavijas del enchufe estén rectas y no se
doblen.

Connecting the charger to the power supply. The
status display bis lit in orange as long as the
battery is being charged. A complete charging pro-
cess takes about one hour.
Once the battery has been completely charged, the
color of the status indicator bchanges to green.
Disconnecting the charger from the power supply.
Rotatethemetallicknurledringontheplugc
counterclockwise, thus releasing the plug lock, and
pullofftheplugc.

sure that the battery light source is switched
off.

3Cuidado: Conecte el enchufe de la red a
la alimentación de corriente únicamente
fuera de las zonas expuestas a peligro de

Enchufe el cargador a la corriente. El indicador de
estadobse enciende de color naranja mientras
se esté cargando la pila. El proceso completo de
carga tarda aproximadamente una hora.
