ABOUT THE NEO COMPACT 10
The Strand NEO Compact 10 Console provides the power and flexibility of NEO lighting control software in a
form factor that is small and lightweight. This makes it perfect for use in theaters, houses of worship, and broad-
cast studios, which do not require a full NEO console, but which still require sophisticated control of multi-color
LED and moving head fixtures. It is also perfect as a back-up or secondary console where one is required.
The NEO Compact 10 Console has a built-in 0-10 button command keypad that allows for command line entry,
allowing for rapid operation of the console. It also has an internal touchscreen, which both allows the console
to be used standalone and also provides an intuitive interface for users that are not familiar with command line
entry. And, with support for an external touchscreen, the NEO Compact 10 interface can be extended to another
screen to show even more information.
Shipping with support for four universes of control (upgradeable to ten universes), and with support for 5-pin
DMX and network protocols, the NEO Compact 10 can control all the lights in a small- to medium-sized installa-
tion even as the needs of the space change over time.

input cable is ever damaged, you must replace it with an approved replacement. For assistance, please contact

GETTING STARTED
1. UNPACK CONSOLE
Unpack your NEO Compact 10 from its shipping box and insure you have all included items. If you are missing
any components, please contact your local Authorized Strand Lighting Dealer.
2. SITE REQUIREMENT
The NEO Compact 10 requires a sturdy, flat surface for installation with suitable ventilation of 3 in. (76.2 mm)
to the left and right of the console.. The site should be clean (i.e. absent of any construction dust or debris) and
dry. The console must be installed and operate in an environment that is not exposed to moisture, high humidity
or direct sunlight.
3. CONNECTING POWER
If applicable, connect external touchscreen(s) before connecting power.
To connect the power supply:
Step 1. Connect an AC input cable to the AC input connection on the power supply.
Step 2. Connect and lock the DC output of the power supply to the DC input on the console.
Step 3. Connect AC input cable to AC supply source. The console will power on automatically.
NOTE: You must connect the console to the lighting system via DMX-512 or the network before it is capable of
providing control.
4. READY TO USE
Once console is connected to power and lighting control system, it is ready for use.
• Once the software boots, you are ready to program.
• Use the DISPLAY MENU button to bring up the on-screen menu to select Live, Blind, Patch, Cue List, and
other settings functions.
• Select Patch to patch fixtures to the console.
• Once fixtures are patched, press the DISPLAY MENU to select the Live channel view to start controlling
your lights.

When using electrical equipment, basic safety precautions should
always be followed including the following:
READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.
• For indoor, dry locations use only. Do not use outdoors.
• Do not mount near gas or electric heaters.
• Equipment should be mounted in locations and at heights
where it will not readily be subjected to tampering by
unauthorized personnel.
• The use of accessory equipment not recommended by the
manufacturer may cause an unsafe condition.
• Not for residential use. Do not use this equipment for other
than intended use.
• Refer service to qualified personnel.
• This product must be powered through a grounded outlet.

tions.
