QUICK START GUIDE

KNOBS AND SWITCHES
BOOST EQ
Selects the frequency shape for clean and
dirty boost.
treble: tightens the bottom end by
boosting mid to high frequencies.
mid: fattens tone by pushing midrange
frequencies.
flat: full range frequency response boost. BOOST

dual voice compressor & boost
DRY
Adds uncompressed signal to the output
of the compressor.
BOOST (knob)
Adjusts the amount of boost.
COMP TYPE
Selects the type of compression.
studio: smooth compression as found
in vintage rack compressors.
squeeze: hard compression typical of
classic guitar pedals.
COMPRESSION
Turning clockwise increases
compression by lowering the threshold.
Fully counterclockwise, no compression
is applied.
LEVEL
Adjusts the output level when the
compressor is engaged.
COMP (footswitch)
Engages VCA compressor (RED LED = ON).
BOOST (footswitch)
Engages the boost circuit (RED LED = ON).
NOTE: BOOST and COMP operate
independently, with BOOST located after
COMP. When both are bypassed, an
electromechanical relay is activated for
true bypass.

Selects between a clean or soft
clipping boost circuit.
CLEAN: boost circuit increases
output level without introducing
noticeable clipping.
DIRTY: boost circuit increases output
level while introducing soft clipping
characteristic of an overdrive pedal.
IN
High impedance JFET buffered mono
instrument input.
9VDC
Use the included power supply
or an adapter with the following
rating: 9VDC centernegative. 150mA
minimum.
OUT
Low impedance mono output.
VOLUME
Connect a TRS expression pedal for full-time
volume pedal functionality.
FAV / MIDI
Connect Strymon MiniSwitch for remote selection of a favorite setting. To use
MIDI with Compadre, connect a Strymon MultiSwitch Plus or any MIDI controller
with a Strymon MIDI EXP cable. See full manual for configuration details.
