defe ts in material and workmanship. JCS, at its option, will repair or repla e this produ t or any

made with a new or remanufa tured produ t or omponent. If the produ t is no longer available,
repla ement may be made with a similar produ t of equal or greater value. This is your ex lusive

produ t. Doing so will void this warranty.
This warranty is valid for the original retail pur haser from the date of initial retail pur hase

NOTE
• There may be an odor oming from the heater the first time you use it or after long periods of
storing. This is normal during the break-in period. Make sure the heater is in a well ventilated
area and ontinue running it until the smell goes away.
• You may hear a popping or ra kling sound as the heater heats up. This is normal and safe
operation. On e the heater heats up, the ra kling sound will go away.

How Convection He t Works
As the heater warms the air, hot air rises into the
room. This for es the ooler air down towards the
heater, where it is warmed. This y le ontinues
until the desired temperature has been rea hed.
There is no fan so operation is virtually silent.

ECOSMART™ TECHNOLOGY (SLP3310 ONLY)
Is a te hnology that allows this portable heater to heat an area more effi iently through a ontinuous
y ling of wattages. Although no physi al hange is noti eable, when the heater runs in ECOSMART™
mode it onsumes less energy over a long period of time. To a tivate the E oSmart™y le depress
the E oSmart™button. The E oSmart™y le an be dea tivated by depressing the E oSmart™
button. On e dea tivated, the heater will run ontinuously at 1500 watts.
AUTO SAFETY SHUT-OFF
This heater is equipped with a patented, te hnologi ally advan ed, safety system that automati ally
shuts off the urrent to the heater when a potential overheat temperature is rea hed. The heater
an only resume operation when you reset it.
TORESET THE HEATER
If your heater shuts down, follow these steps:
1. Turn Power to OFF.
2. Unplug the heater and wait 30 minutes.
3. Plug in the heater, turn the power ON.
4. Your heater should now operate properly.
TIP-OVER SHUT-OFF
If the heater is kno ked over, it will instantly shut off. To resume operation, simply pla e the
heater in an upright position and turn ON the heater.
PRE-OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Make sure the heater is OFF before plugging the heater into the outlet.
2. Pla e the heater on a firm, level surfa e.
3. Avoid overloading your ir uit by not using other high wattage applian es in the same outlet.
At 1500 Watts, this unit draws 12.5 Amps.
4. Make sure unit and plug is free of moisture and debris before plugging into an ele tri al outlet.

1. Press the On/Off button to turn unit on.
2. Sele t temperature by pressing the Temperature button until the desired temperature
is hosen.
3. Set the Timer for the duration in whi h you would like the heater to run before turning
off automati ally.
4. Then hoose whether or not you would like to use the E oSmart™Te hnology by pressing the
E oSmart™button.
SLP3300 (FIG. 2)
1. To turn heater On simply turn knob to desired heat level, Low or High.
2. Sele t desired temperature by turning the Thermostat knob ounter lo kwise until the
desired omfort level is rea hed.
CLEANING/MAINTENANCE
Always unplug the heater before leaning and allow to ool.
• Lightly run a va uum leaner nozzle over the heater grill to remove any dust or dirt that may
have a umulated.
• Carefully wipe the heater with a soft, damp loth. Please be very autious near the heating
elements.
• NEVER use abrasive or flammable solvents to lean the heater.
• After leaning, be sure to ompletely dry the heater with a loth or towel.
• Store your heater in a ool, dry dust-free lo ation
TROUBLESHOOTING
If your heater fails to operate or if there is no heat:
• Auto Safety Shut-Off may have shut the unit off. Remove any obstru tions and follow
“To Reset the Heater” instru tions se tion of the manual.
• Do NOT attempt to repair or adjust any ele tri al or me hani al fun tions on this unit.
Doing so will void the warranty. The inside of the unit ontains no user servi eable parts.
All servi ing should be performed by qualified personnel only.
• Make sure the power button is ON – depress button or turn knob to High.
• Che k the thermostat setting; it might be set too low. Turn the thermostat knob lo kwise until
the heater restarts or push thermostat button to 85º.
• If the unit is still not produ ing enough heat, make sure Thermostat is set to the highest setting.
• Be patient. Give the heater time to heat up.
• Make sure the ele tri al outlet and ir uit breaker are working.
• You may hear a popping or ra kling sound as the heater heats up. This is normal and safe
operation. On e the heater heats up, the ra kling sound will go away.
• Make sure your heater is in a full upright position.

PARA REINICIALIZAR EL CALENTADOR
Si su alentador se apaga, siga estos pasos:
1. Apague el alentador (posi ión OFF).
2. Des one te el alentador y espere 30 minutos.
3. Cone te y en ienda el alentador (posi ión ON).
4. El alentador debe operar orre tamente ahora.
APAGADO AL VOLTEARSE
Si el alentador se voltea, se apagará instantáneamente. Para reanudar la opera ión, simplemente

1. Oprima en botón On/Off (en endido/apagado) para operar la unidad.
2. Sele ione la temperatura al oprimir el botón de la temperatura hasta onfigurar la

1. Para en ender el alentador simplemente gire la perilla al nivel deseado, bajo o alto.
2. Elija la temperatura deseada al girar la perilla del termostato en el sentido del reloj hasta
que se al an e el nivel deseado.
LIMPIEZA/MANTENIMIENTO
Siempre des one te el alentador antes de limpiarlo y permita que se enfríe.
• Limpie la rejilla del alentador ligeramente on la boquilla de la aspiradora para retirar
ualquier polvo o su iedad que se haya a umulado.
• Limpie uidadosamente el alentador on un paño suave y húmedo. Tenga uidado er a de
los elementos alefa tores.
• NUNCA use un disolvente abrasivo o inflamable para limpiar el alentador.
• Después de limpiar, asegúrese de se ar ompletamente el alentador on un paño o toalla.
• Guarde el alentador en un lugar fres o, se o y libre de polvo.
SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS
Si el alentador no opera o no produ e alor:
• La fun ión de apagado automáti o podría haber apagado la unidad. Retire ualquier
obstru ión y siga la se ión de instru iones del manual “Para reini ializar el alentador”.
• NO intente reparar o ajustar alguna fun ión elé tri a o me áni a en esta unidad, ya que
invalidará la garantía. El interior de la unidad no ontiene partes que el usuario pueda
reparar. Todas las repara iones las debe realizar personal alifi ado úni amente.
• Cer iórese de que el botón de en endido esté en la posi ión ON, oprima el botón o gire
la perilla al nivel alto (High).
• Revise el nivel del termostato, podría estar en un nivel demasiado bajo. Gire la perilla del
termostato en el sentido del reloj hasta que el alentador reini ie u oprima el botón del
termostato a 85°.
• Si la unidad no está produ iendo sufi iente alor, o el termostato está en el nivel más alto.
• Tenga pa ien ia. Dé tiempo al alentador para que se aliente.
• Verifique que el toma orriente elé tri o y el interruptor de ir uitos estén operando.
• Es posible que es u he un sonido de explosión o un rujido mientras el alentador se alienta.
Esto es parte de la opera ión normal y segura. Una vez el alentador se aliente, el sonido desapare e.
• Cer iórese de que el alentador esté en posi ión verti al.
