Unpack all componentsnear the
vehiclewith the batteryto beused
for thewinch.

tow hook, chassisframe or similar

take up the wire rope slack until
it becomestaut. Stop, recheck
all winching connections. Be
sure the hook isproperly seated.
If a nylon sling isused, check the
attachment to theload.
23.When using your winch to move
a load, place the vehicle trans-
mission in neutral, set vehicle
brake, and chock all wheels.
24. DO NOT USE THE WINCH TO
HOLD LOADSIN PLACE.
Use other meansof
securing loads such
astie down straps.

immediately after the winching
is complete to prevent accidental
operation of the winch during
system disassembly. Repack: Always
take time to properly disassemble
winch system and time to repack the
winch inside the storage bag.
