1. BUYER RECOMMENDATIONS
•Unpack the device carefully. Make sure there are no accessories left in the box. Check up the
device for damage; if the product was damaged during transportation, address the firm which
carried out the delivery; if the product functions incorrectly, address the dealer at once.
•Check up the package contents and availability of the warranty card. Make sure the warranty card
has a shop stamp, a legible signature or the seller’s stamp and purchase date, and the goods
number corresponds to that in the warranty card. Remember: in case of warranty card loss or
discrepancy of numbers you forfeit the right for warranty repairs.
• Do not switch on the speaker system immediately after you bring it into a room from environment
with negative temperature! After unpacking, the speaker system should be kept in conditions of
room temperature for at least 4 hours.
•Before installing and using the speaker system, read this Manual carefully and keep it for future
reference.

3. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
•To avoid electric shock, do not open the MSS and do not perform repairs by yourself. Service and
repairs should be performed only by qualified specialists in an authorized service center. The list of
authorized service centers is available on www.sven.fi.
•Do not allow the circuit of wires (including the grounded ones) between the speakers, on the
power amplifier or the ground, for it causes damage to the power amplifier output stage.
•Do not touch the MSS power cord plug pins for 2 seconds after unplugging it from the mains.
•Disconnect MSS from the mains system during a fuse replacement. Use fuses of the same type
and rated value. Do not use hand-made fuses.
•Do not put foreign objects inside the holes of the MSS.
•Protect the MSS from high humidity, water and dust.
•Protect the MSS from heating: do not place it closer than 1 m from a heat source. Do not expose
it to direct sunlight.
•Do not place any open flame sources on or close to MSS.
•Do not place the MSS in poorly ventilated areas. Leave an air gap of 10 cm or more. When
operating the MSS, do not put any devices on it, do not cover it with cloth or other objects pre-
venting it from cooling.
•Do not use any chemical agents for cleaning. Clean it with dry soft cloth only.
4. TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
STREAM R/STREAM MEGA R 2.0 Multimedia Speaker Systems (MSS) are designed to play music
and sound games, movies, etc. You can use it with a computer, CD/MP3 player and other audio
devices. Remote control (RC) is included.

Notes:
•Before operating the remote control (RC), extract
the battery, remove the protective lm, and insert
the battery back into the remote control.
•Use the RC at an angle no more than 30°, no more
than 7 m away from the IR receiver.
•Direct the RC at the IR receiver sensor on the active
speaker.
•If the RC is not working, check the battery and
replace the discharged battery with a new one.
•Remove the battery from the remote control if the
device is left unused for a long period of time (more
than a week).

5. PREPARATION AND OPERATION
Speaker placement
•Place the speakers symmetrically to the listener at least one meter away.
•Place MSS far away from monitors and TV sets, as insignicant image distortion in these su-
persensitive devicesis possible.
Installation and operation
•STREAM R/STREAM MEGA R Multimedia Speaker Systems can be connected to virtually any
audio source: DVD/CD/MP3 player, TV, PC sound card, etc. (see connection diagrams in Fig. 5a and
5b).
•Before making any connections, make sure the MSS is unplugged. Connect the speakers using the
included audio cable (see connection diagrams in Fig. 5a and 5b).
• To connect the MSS to a CD/MP3 player or a PC sound card, use the included 2RCA to mini-jack
signal cable. Connect the RCA jacks of the cable to the AUDIO IN L1/R1 hjack, and insert the
mini-jack of the cable into the Ø 3.5 mm stereo jack of your audio source.
•To connect the MSS to a DVD player or TV, use a 2RCA to 2RCA stereo signal cable (included).
Insert the RCA jacks of the cable into the AUDIO IN L2/R2 ijacks, and connect the other RCA
jacks to the audio output jacks of your TV or DVD player.

• Insert the power cord plug m into the mains outlet .
• Switch on the device using the POWER switch (l, ON position) on the rear panel of the active
speaker. The power LED bwill light up. Switch on your audio source, press the ST-BY abutton or
turn the VOLUME knob eon the speaker and then select the connected audio source with buttons
AUX c, LINE IN bor PC ion the remote control.
•Adjust the master volume by turning the VOLUME eknob or pressing the VOL+ dand VOL- f
buttons on the remote control. To increase the volume, turn the VOLUME eknob clockwise, to
reduce the volume, turn the knob counterclockwise.
•Adjust the treble and bass level by turning the TREBLE cand BASS dknobs respectively or
pressing the TREBLE+/- gand BASS+/- kbuttons on the remote control. To increase the treble
and bass level, turn the knobs clockwise; to reduce it, turn the knobs counterclockwise.
•Using buttons L/R e, adjust the balance between left and right channels.
• To enter the MUTE mode, press the MUTE jbutton on the RC. To exit the MUTE mode, press
this button again.
•Connect your headphones to the headphone jack g.
Notes:
• If the MSS is left unused for a long period of time, please mind to switch it off with the
POWER lswitch on the rear panel of the active speaker (OFF position) and unplug the
power cord m.
• Though the MSS has three switchable inputs, you can turn on only one audio source at
a time.
• To improve the sound quality, use the Line Out port of your sound card.
If none of the above methods can solve the problem, please seek professional advice at your
nearest service center. Never attempt to repair the product yourself.
Problem
The MSS does not
turn on.
No sound or the
sound is too quiet.
Distortion of sound.
The remote control
is not working.
Cause
The MSS isn’t connected to a mains
outlet.
The power switch is off.
Volume level is set at minimum value.
Improperly connected audio source.
Large amplitude of the input signal.
The battery is discharged.
Solution
Check the connection.
Turn on the switch.
Adjust the volume control knob.
Connect the audio sources correctly.
Turn down the source volume and
the MSS volume.
Replace the battery with a new one.
