UNPACKING
Unpack the device carefully. Make sure there are no accessories left in the box. Check up the
device for damages; if the product was damaged during transportation, address the 甥rm which
carried out the delivery; if the product functions incorrectly, address the dealer at once.
ATTENTION!
Do not switch on the speaker system immediately after you bring it into a room from environment
with negative temperature! After unpacking, the system should be kept in conditions of room
temperature for at least 4 hours.

Caution! High voltage inside! To avoid the risk of electric
shock do not open or touch elements inside.
1. DESCRIPTION
MS-230 Multimedia Speaker System 2.0 (MSS) is designed to play music and sound games,
movies etc. The MSS has a built-in power ampli甥er due to which it can be connected to virtually any
audio source (CD/DVD-players, TV, PC, etc.) without using an additional power ampli甥er. One
speaker is active (it has a built-in power ampli甥er and a control panel),the other one is passive. he
MSS can be connected to an active subwoofer.
2. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
•To avoid electric shock do not open the MSS and do not perform repairs by yourself.
•Do not allow circuit of wires (including grounded ones) between speakers, power ampli甥er or
ground, for it causes damage of power ampli甥er output stage.
•Do not put foreign objects inside the holes of the MSS. Make sure that needles, hair pins, coins,
insects etc. do not get inside.
•Protect the MSS from high humidity, water and dust. Do not locate it in areas with high level of
humidity and dust.
•Protect the MSS from heating: do not locate it near a heat source or expose to direct sunlight.
•Do not use gasoline, alcohol or other solvents when cleaning, since they may damage the paint-
coated surface of the MSS. Clean it with dry soft cloth only.
•If the MSS does not operate, unplug it and address your dealer.

5. LOCATING
•Place speakers symmetrically to the listener at the distance not less than one meter.
•Place the speaker system far away from TV sets, as insigni甥cant image distortion in supersensi-
tive monitors and TV sets is possible.

7. INSTALLATION AND OPERATION
MS-230 Multimedia Speaker System can be connected to virtually any audio source: DVD/CD, PC
sound card etc. (see connection diagram below, Fig. 3) and also an active subwoofer if necessary.
•Before connecting, make sure that speaker system is unplugged. Then connect the speakers with
each other. For this，insert the positive wire of the acoustic cable into the red jack «+» and the
negative wire into the white jack «-» of the connection terminals (see Connection diagram above).
Start with the passive speaker, then connect the cable to the active one.
•Connect the RCA jacks of the stereo signal cable to the L and R terminals k, then connect the
mini-jack (Ø 3,5 mm) of the included 2RCA to 3.5 mm mini-jack signal cable to the output of the PC
sound card or audio output of another sound source. An active subwoofer is connected in the same
way via an additional 2RCA to 3.5 mm mini-jack signal cable (see connection diagram above).
Notes:
•To connect the speaker system to a DVD/CD/VCD-player it is necessary to use a 2RCA to
2RCA stereo signal cable (not included) or a mini-jack to 2RCA adapter.
•Check reliable τxation of wires in the connection terminals, polarity of connection and
absence of contact between bared wires and metal parts of the hardware.
•Please pay special attention to reliability of connection cable τxation in the jacks, other-
wise considerable noise can be observed during music reproduction.
•Insert the plug of power cable linto a mains socket. Adjust volume level to its minimum by
turning VOLUME control knob fcounterclockwise until it stops.
•Switch on the device (d, position ON), power LED clights up.
•Switch on the audio source.

If none of the above mentioned solutions removes the problem, please refer to your nearest
authorized service centre. Never try to repair the device on your own.
8. TROUBLE SHOOTING
Problem
The MSS does not
turn on.
No sound.
The sound of speakers is
too quiet.
Distortion of sound.
Sound is produced by
one of the channels only.
Cause
MSS is not connected to a mains outlet.
Power switch is o汚.
Volume level is set at minimum value.
Improperly connected audio source.
Volume level is set at minimum value.
Large amplitude of the input signal.
The speakers are improperly connected to
the audio source.
Solution
Check the connection.
Turn on the switch.
Adjust volume control knob.
Connect audio sources
correctly.
Adjust volume control knob.
Turn down the source
and MSS volume.
Check the connection of
speakers.
•Adjust volume level by turning VOLUME control knob f. While turning the knob clockwise,
volume level increases, but while turning it counterclockwise, it reduces.
•Adjust treble and bass levels by turning TREBLE control knob eand BASS control knob g
accordingly. While turning the knob clockwise, treble and bass levels increase, but while turning it
counterclockwise, they reduce.
Notes:
• After τnishing operating the MSS, mind to shift POWER switch dinto OFF position, and
unplug power cable l.
• To enhance sound quality, use Line-Out output of your sound card.
