Introduction
This document provides instructions for programming the Symbol LS9203 scanner for use with a Gilbarco G-Site system.
Required Hardware
•Cable
• 25-60262-20 (RS232 Cable, True TTL, DB9 Female, TxD on 2, 6 ft. Straight), or
• 25-60262-21 (RS232 Cable, True TTL, DB9 Female, TxD on 2, 8 1/2 ft. Coiled).
Note: If the G-Site system has an RJ-45 connection, a DB9 to RJ45 adapter is required
(Symbol p/n 25-60220-01).
Alternatively, a Gilbarco DB9 to RJ-45 adapter (Gilbarco p/n Q13180-06) and a Gilbarco RJ-45 to RJ-45
cable (Gilbarco p/n Q13182-02) can also be used.
• Power Supply
• 50-14000-008 (110VAC for N. America), or
• 50-14000-009 (220VAC for Europe and Asia), or
• 50-14000-010 (100VAC for Japan).
Scanner Setup
The following parameters need to be set:
•SetDefaults
• Fujitsu RS-232
• Baud Rate 2400
• Parity Even
•7-Bit
• 1 Stop Bit*
• Transmit UPC-A Check Digit*
• Transmit UPC-E Check Digit*.
* Already set by default.
