Charge the battery pack with ambient temperature at 10°-40°(50°F-104°F), please cool down the
heated before charging.
When battery pack is not used for over six months, charge the ni-mh battery pack.
It will cause injury to fingers, hands, arms or other body parts if clothes or gloves are drawn into the
rotating parts.
It will cause electric shock or burn when contacting the motor or other electric components.
Eye injury caused by the flexible shafts, cables or flying debris.

Make the machine close to the pipe inlet.
Do not use soft gloves or cloth to hold the rotating flexible shaft, which may cause serious injury if

HGDDC1A is a handheld pipe dredger, which is used to dredge the 19~76mm of the pipes such as:
kitchen pipes and bathroom pipes.
HGDDC1A dredger has an independent handle to operate the rolling jaw with automatic driving and
reversing mechanism that can achieve automatic advance and retraction of the flexible shaft to reduce
manual operations.

Use the guide hose to prevent the flexible shaft from bringing foreign matter when jittering.
After using detergent in the pipe, avoid direct contact with skin or eyes. Some detergents can cause
severe burns.

When the flexible shaft and rubbish are stuck in the pipe and cannot be retracted:

B. If still cannot retract the flexible shaft and rubbish according to method A. Please pull out the
flexible shaft by hand.

Press the R switch (on the handle R-S-L), let the flexible shaft reverse rotation several turns;
Press the L switch (on the handle R-S-L), let the flexible shaft forward rotation several turns;
Repeat this operation (2) / (3) several times, observe, until it is wrapped rubbish;
Press the L switch (on the handle R-S-L), push the lever forward to “R”(F-O-R); Start the machine to
retract the flexible shaft or pull out the flexible shaft by hand according to Method B.

Warning: If all the broken flexible shafts connected to the machine end are retracted into the hub, the
flexible shafts will be caught inside the machine and cannot be extended any more, resulting in the
failure to replace the new flexible shafts.
Replace the flexible shaft

When the flexible shaft got twisted together
Release the switch immediately to stop rotation.
Push the lever to middle“O”(F-O-R),avoid twisting the flexible shaft tighter.
Adjust the switch (R-S-L )on the handle)to reverse the direction of rotation; a. When twisting it is
forward rotation L(R-S-L), please adjust to R reverse rotation. b. When twisting it is reverse R
(R-S-L), adjust to forward L.
Slowly start the switch, the speed must be slow, and then the flexible shaft will automatically unlock.
If the flexible shaft is broken:
Release the start switch immediately, stop rotation, and remove the battery.
Put on gloves, grasp the soft shaft inside the pipe and pull out the soft shaft. Pay attention to the
elasticity of the flexible shaft to avoid injury.
Push the lever to middle“O”(F-O-R), pull out the flexible shaft until the joint is exposed, and replace
the new flexible shaft.

When the flexible shaft and rubbish are stuck in the pipe and cannot be retracted:
A.1Press the R switch (on the handle),the flexible shaft will rotate in reverse; 2Push the lever
forward to “F”; 3Press the switch, the flexible shaft take back to the ratchet.
B. If still cannot retract the flexible shaft and rubbish according to method A. Please pull out the
flexible shaft by hand.
1Put on gloves and remove the battery;2Push the lever to middle“O”F-O-R, this will let the
lever release the flexible shaft3Pull the flexible shaft out of the pipe by hand and plug it back into
the drum.
When the flexible shaft cannot wrap rubbish
Push the lever to middle“O”(F-O-R), flexible shaft will works stay in the current position (not forward
or backward).
Press the R switch (on the handle R-S-L), let the flexible shaft reverse rotation several turns;
Press the L switch (on the handle R-S-L), let the flexible shaft forward rotation several turns;
Repeat this operation (2) / (3) several times, observe, until it is wrapped rubbish;
Press the L switch (on the handle R-S-L), push the lever forward to “R”(F-O-R); Start the machine to
retract the flexible shaft or pull out the flexible shaft by hand according to Method B.

Warning: If all the broken flexible shafts connected to the machine end are retracted into the hub, the
flexible shafts will be caught inside the machine and cannot be extended any more, resulting in the
failure to replace the new flexible shafts.
Replace the flexible shaft

When the flexible shaft got twisted together
Release the switch immediately to stop rotation.
Push the lever to middle“O”(F-O-R),avoid twisting the flexible shaft tighter.
Adjust the switch (R-S-L )on the handle)to reverse the direction of rotation; a. When twisting it is
forward rotation L(R-S-L), please adjust to R reverse rotation. b. When twisting it is reverse R
(R-S-L), adjust to forward L.
Slowly start the switch, the speed must be slow, and then the flexible shaft will automatically unlock.
If the flexible shaft is broken:
Release the start switch immediately, stop rotation, and remove the battery.
Put on gloves, grasp the soft shaft inside the pipe and pull out the soft shaft. Pay attention to the
elasticity of the flexible shaft to avoid injury.
Push the lever to middle“O”(F-O-R), pull out the flexible shaft until the joint is exposed, and replace
the new flexible shaft.

When the flexible shaft advances to the blockage:
Press forward rotary L switch (on the handle), flexible shaft forward rotation .
Push the lever forward (F), press the switch, the flexible shaft extends out and starts working ;
Extend the flexible shaft into the pipe, keep the tool head at a distance at most of 4"(10cm) of the
pipe opening (usually is it 2" - 8"(5~20cm)).
Gently press the switch, the flexible shaft extending to the blockage. Note: The harder you press the
switch, the faster the flexible shaft will rotate.
Release the switch, the flexible shaft stops moving forward.

Repeat the above steps 1, 2, 3. Until the garbage is completely cleared and the pipe is clear.

Retract the flexible shaft and bring out the rubbish

Cleaning and maintenance
Clean the rubbish on the flexible shaft and drain all the dirty water in the drum, store it in a shade and
dry place. The battery needs to be fully charged after work. And store it in a shade and dry place; If
it is not used for a long time, please check the battery regularly for 2 ~ 3 months, discharge it first,
then charge it.

Please check if the battery pack is unplugged before replacing it
Before inspection and maintenance, please switch off tool power and take off the battery pack!
After each use, rotate manually the drum until the waterproof plug is exposed out of the housing
and remove the waterproof plug with allen wrench. Erect tools with head down so that liquid
inside the drum will drain out and reinstall the waterproof plug.(Figure10)
Do remember to take off the wrench in case of tossing out when started next time, causing
personal injuries.
Please clean the flexible shaft and drum carefully. If it is not to be used for a long time, please
apply butter on the surface of the flexible shaft to prevent rust.
How to replace the flexible shaft

Do not start the tool to retract the flexible shaft, because the exposed flexible shaft can lead to unpredict-
able personal injury, tool damage, damage to indoor objects, fire, electric shock and other dangerous
situations.
If the flexible shaft cannot be replaced normally, please send it to the designated service center for repair.
Storage and Maintenance of the Machine
Place the operating handle in the O position;
Take out the flexible shaft to expose the connector;
Unscrew the M4 set screws with an Allen wrench and remove the unwanted flexible shaft (Fig. 9);
Insert the new flexible shaft into the connector, align the screw holes, and tighten the M4 set
screws again;
Push the flexible shaft manually to the inside of the drum.

Step 1
Preparation:
Before using the tool, please make sure
the battery pack is fully charged. Press
the power button to check the battery
power: 3 green lights means fully
charged; red lights means insufficient,
please charge it (about 60 minutes).
Step 3
Extend the Cable
Set the front operation handle forward to
the position of "F", press the start switch
to start the machine so that the cable
feeds forward to the clogged position.
Step 2
Adjust the Switch Correctly
Press switch L: forward rotation
ATTENTION: The reverse lever "R" in the
reverse direction must only be used to
release the tension of the cable for a
short time.
Step 4
Tips: Keep the length of the exposed
cable about 10cm, while putting the cable
into the pipe.
WARNING: Too long exposed cable
makes it easy to knot and twist, while too
short make it inconvenient to clean up the
garbage.

Step 5
Rotate to Entangle the Blockage
Set the front operation handle to the
position of "O", the cable keeping
rotating only and no forward or
backward, so that the blockage can be
wrapped tightly and easy to clean.
Step 6
Retract the Cabe and Clean up the
Blockage
Push the front operation handle to the
position of "R", start the machine, retract
the cable back to the nozzle, and then
remove the garbage.
Note: Repeat the above steps until the
garbage completely cleaned.
Step 7
Cleaning and Maintenance
Clean work is done, please dry the cable
and then retract it to the machine to
avoid rusting of the cable.
If the hub is filled with water, loosen the
screws on the hub with a hexagonal
wrench to drain it out.
Warning: Please keep it fully charged
after using it. Check every two or three
months, charge and discharge to avoid
insufficient battery power or damage.
Step 8
Attention: Cables are consumables and
easily damaged. When the flexible shaft
is damaged, please purchase a new one
(model: Tacklife-HGD1C) to replace or
contact us.
Tips:
1. If the damaged cable is retracted
completely into the machine, the cable is
unable to be replaced.
2. While replacing the cable, please
unplug the battery, manually pull
out/plug back the cable to avoid tangling
and injury.
