Tamiya Spray-woft Air Can 180D supplied in this set
{also s€parately aväjlable as ltem 74514 uses ozone-
lriendly OME (dimethyl ether) gas as sp6y prcpettant.
brge capacity Air Can 420D is also avaitabte ftom Ta-
miya (ftem 74516) and may be used with this aiörush.

After continuous use (1 - 2 minutes), the air can witt be-
come cold and air-pressuro will weaken. ln thas cas€,
remove can and allow to rest and regain air prcssure.
Using two cans by tums is rccomm$ded as an effi-
cient way lo painl with aibrush.
XTamiya Spray-work Air Comprcssors (except to ttem
74520 Basic Air Comprcssor) may slso be us€d as an
Carnion: Do not wam a cold can with hot water or di-
rcct flame. Sudden change of intemal air prcssure may

THINNING PAINT
Most jar paints are too thick to spray. The paint
should be thinned until il ddps as shown. Us€ a mix-
ing jar (not included) to thin paint and stir using a glass
rod, plsstic sprue, etc. The pairt thich€ss suitable for
spraying diffeG accoding to the type of painl used, at-
mosphere^emperarue condilions stc. Test spEy us-
ing plastic spruos or parts scraps änd adjusl thickness
pdor to paintjns a model.

Tum adiustment valve clockwise to start flow lrom pro-
pellant can. Push tdgg€r on aibrush to spray paint Air
prc§surc can be controlled both at the air rcgutaror and
aiörush.
aAdiustins Needle Movement:
Tdgger movement can b€ adjusted u§ng the needte
adjuster. Tum the needle adiust€r counterclockwise to
incrsase paint flow for a heavier/bDader spläy. Tum
clockwise to rsduce needle movemst lor a tinsi ligllt
spray. The indicator marl(S on airbrush guides you pre-
cisely to your requirements. Paint does not flow when
marker is aligned (zerc-d€grces).

CLEANING AIRBRUSH
Clean immediately after spraying. Never allow paint to
dry in lhe aiörush, nozzle or cup.

This will back flush air and ihinner through nozzle and

DISASSEMBLING FON THOROUGH CLEANING
It is recommended to pedodically remove needle and
clean thorcughly using thinnerand soft cloth. Take ex-
treme care nol to damage needle and nozle. Remove
air hose pnorto disassemblinq airbrush.
aHowto rsmov€ and installnedle:
Set needle adjuster to 0 (zero) degrees. Remove bal-
ance weight, loosen needle chuck screw, and gently
pulloutthe needle. lnstallneedle making sure that lhe
tdgger is properly aligned with the Mgger indication
mark tacing reward (see illustration). Genüy seat nee-
dle inlo nozzle by pressrng torwarcl. and secure rn
place by lighlenang needle chuck screw. Attach bal
