Elba Cot
IMPORTANT
Read all instructions before assembly and use of product.
Recommended that two people complete this assembly.
Save these instructions for future use.

For general dusting wipe the cot with dry soft cloth
To remove spills, dirt or anything your baby throws at you use warm soapy water
Avoid using a scourer/steel wool, these damage the finish
Always dry the cot after cleaning
This cot is manufactured to use with a mattress sized 750mm (W) x 1310mm (L) x 120mm (H).
It is important that the gaps between the mattress, sides and end of the cot do not exceed 40mm
when the mattress is pushed to one side and it should not exceed 20mm when the mattress is
centred in the cot. This minimises the risk of a child's limb becoming caught in a gap.
Mattress thickness specified ensures the depth of the cot is greater than 500mm with the
mattress base in the lower position, minimising the risk of a child climbing and falling from the
cot.
Follow manufacturer's assembly instructions in detail, ensuring safety features are not
compromised.
ENSURE THE COT IS NOT POSITIONED TOO CLOSE TO HEATERS, BLINDS, CURTAINS,
WINDOWS OR POWERPOINTS.
DO NOT KEEP ITEMS NEARBY WHERE THERE IS DANGER OF THE ITEM FALLING INTO THE
COT.
KEEP ANY MEDICATION, STRING, ELASTICS OR SMALL ITEMS OUT OF REACH OF YOUR COT,
PREVENTING THE CHILD REACHING FROM OUT OF THE COT, WITH ANY SUFFOCATION OR
STRANGLE RISKS.
TO PREVENT FALLS, THE BASE OF THE COT SHOULD BE ADJUSTED TOTHE LOWEST POSITION
BEFORE YOUR CHILD CAN SIT UP.
Tighten your connector bolts, at least two months after cot assembly, some may loosen as the
cot settles.
Regularly check your connector bolts, ensuring they are tight, and regularly check the cot for any
weakness in the panel joints and panels. If weaknesses are found, report immediately, to Tasman
Eco ([email protected]).
Do not use the cot if it has been damaged in any way.
Always use spare parts direct from Tasman Eco, these can be purchased via the website.

Junior Bed Cap Screws x 4 Glide Pins x 4 Allen Key x 1 Screw Driver x 1

Assembly
STEP 2: Fit the glide pins into the 4 x threaded inserts. Tighten firmly using a
screwdriver, but DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN.
STEP 1: Begin by laying the cot base down on the floor. The top of the base is
marked 'THIS SIDE UP' and needs to be facing DOWNWARDS for this stage of
assembly. Insert the metal cross dowels into the four holes in the cot base. The
screw heads must be facing outward so you can use a screwdriver to rotate the
dowels, to align the horizontal holes.

Assembly (continued...)
*When building the cot, use the base holes on the headboards below, labelled
'COT'. When building the cot at bassinet height, use the base holes on the
headboards below, labelled 'BASSINET'.
STEP 3: Connect the cot base to the left bed head. Ensure the sides of the bed
head and the metal glide pins inserted are facing the correct way for this stage
of assembly. Screw these together using the 2 x bolts, but do not fully tighten.
Now connect the right bed head to the base. Screw these sections together
using 2 x bolts, but do not fully tighten.
STEP 4: Fit the double ended screws to the unused holes.
Use the double ended screws to fill the four unused locating holes, one in each
corner of the cot. This is required to prevent the entry of small fingers into these
holes.

Assembly (continued...)
STEP 5: Connect the rear fixed panel
to the bed heads, using the 2 x bolts
on either side. Screw these sections
together but do not completely tighten,
you will tighten the bolts later.
With these sections now assembled,
carefully lift the cot up on its legs.
STEP 4: Insert the front dropside panel, between both headboards.
NOTE: It is best to have assistance at this step to avoid damaging the cot sides,
when inserting the glide pins into the guide channels. The headboards need to be
separated slightly where the glide pins don't damage the timber. If required, un-
tighten the connector bolts, holding the frames together.
Push the upper glide pins into the top of the guide channels on the headboards,
then slide the front panel down slightly on either side. Once the top has the glide
pins are in place, slide the bottom glide pins into the bottom guide channels.

Assembly (continued...)
STEP 7: The guard screws must now be installed to prevent damage to the timber
frames.
IMPORTANT: The guide channels (both sides) must now be secured using the 2 x
guard screws. The guard screws prevent damage being caused to the side frames
by preventing the front adjustable panel from being accidentally removed of
dislodged from the bed head frames. This is also an important safety feature.
STEP 8: Tighten all connecting bolts. Do not over-tighten or you may damage the
timber.

YOU'VE GOT A CONVERSION COT!
You've purchased a Tasman Eco conversion cot, a cot that grows with you and
your family, a piece that will be with your little one for their early years.
This cot that you're building can convert from bassinet height, to cot height and then
to a toddler bed.
Converting your cot is easy. Check out the drawings below, plus some tips and
tricks to note when converting your cot.
Bassinet Height Cot Height Toddler Bed
Tilt your cot to it's side and simply loosen all of the fixed side panels, which will allow for some
movement.
When all 4 sides are loose, remove each of the screws from the base and bring the base down to
the cot base height.
Re-insert and screw the screws back in.
Once your screws have been put back into the fixed sides (by hand), bring the cot back up to
standing position. If you find it easier to adjust the base height with the cot upright, this is also
okay.
From Bassinet to Cot Height

From Cot Height to Toddler Bed
STEP 2: Now, remove the screws on the other side rail.
STEP 1: Loosen the screw marked by the arrow in the image below.
STEP 3: Now that your cot side rail is dismantled a little, you can remove this side.

From Cot Height to Toddler Bed (continued...)
STEP 5: Tighten the loosened screws and your cot to toddler bed conversion is now complete!
