Customize Access features, such as call / message ringtones, volume, ring settings,
and system sounds. If you want to change the ringtone for the selected
prole, go down to Ringtone and press Options -> Change. Use the
/ keys to select a pre-set ringtone or Select from le, then press
Select to conrm. If Select from le is selected, use the / keys to
select a folder where music les are stored, and select Open to access
music les. Then use the / keys to select a music le and select
OK to conrm.
Here are the other settings you can modify to Customize your sound prole:
Alert type Press the or key to choose between Ring only / Vibrate
only / Vibrate and ring / Vibrate then ring of the alert type.
Ring type Press the or key to choose between Repeat / Beep once
ring type.
Ringtone Click the left key to enter more Options -> Change -> select
the desired ringtone using the / keys.
Ringtone volume Press the or key to adjust the ringtone volume.
Message Click the left key to enter more Options -> Change -> select
the desired message tone using the / keys.
Message volume Press the or key to adjust the message volume.
Keypad Press the or key to choose between Click / Tone / Silent
keypad tone or Human voice (with this option selected, the phone
will use a digital voice to repeat the digits dialled when typing a
number from the main screen).
Key-tone volume Press the or key to adjust the key-tone volume.
Cover open Click the left key to enter more Options -> Change -> select
the desired tone using the / keys.
Cover close Click the left key to enter more Options -> Change -> select
the desired tone using the / keys.
System alarm Press the or key to turn on / o the system alarm.
Reset Reset the prole to default settings.
hSilent
When Silent mode is activated, incoming phone calls and messages will not ring or vibrate. Alerts
on screen will remain active.
Note: On the main screen, press and hold the # key to switch between general and silent prole
modes.
9.7 SETTINGS
The S540 provides a variety of settings which may be changed to best suit your needs. These vary
from personalization options such as language, time and date and wallpapers, to more practical
settings like blacklisting certain telephone numbers to prevent telemarketers. You will nd a detailed
explanation of each setting below.
Note: All references start at Menu -> Settings:
hCall
Caller ID Activate or disable the display of caller information if available.
Call waiting Activate or disable the ability to put callers on hold / switch to a
second call.
Call divert Choose to redirect calls under various circumstances either to
voice mail, or to a second telephone number.
Call barring Prevent incoming and outgoing calls whilst travelling to avoid
potential charges (depending on network subscription.
