3. GETTING STARTED
3.1 Installing SIM card
Note: This phone supports standard sized SIM cards only. Use a card adaptor
if necessary. If no SIM card is inserted or if the SIM card is damaged, the screen
shows “Please insert SIM card”.
1. Make sure phone is switched off and remove the back cover.
2. Install a SIM card inside the SIM Card slot. Make sure the contacts of the
SIM card are facing downwards and cut corner is orientated towards the
upper, left corner.
3.2 Installing memory card
WARNING: SIM cards and Micro-SD cards are small objects, keep them out of
reach of children. Risk of choking due to ingestion of small parts!
1. To install a Micro-SD card (not provided), open the back cover and
remove the battery.
2. Slide the card holder (beside the SIM slot) to the left to unlock the
hinge. Lift the flap and put the Micro-SD card into the card holder. Slide
the holder back to the right to lock the card in place.

3.3 Installing battery
Note: Use only original battery or a battery approved by the manufacturer. Do not
use any other unauthorized batteries.
1. Remove the back cover.
2. Install battery by sliding it into battery compartment with contacts
facing downwards to the right.
3. Replace the back cover.
3.4 Charging battery
Notes:
The battery comes partially charged.
Charge the battery only indoors and in dry locations.
Insert the Micro-USB plug carefully. It only fits one way.
Normal charge time takes 3-4 hours.
Do not leave the phone charging for more than 12 hours.
To maximise battery life, limit multimedia functions.
Charge the battery between 0°C and 45°C. Charge the battery promptly when
flat.
With poor network conditions (less than 2 bars) battery life is reduced.
When not using the phone for long periods remove the battery.
1. Connect the provided charger to a suitable power outlet.
2. Plug the other end with micro-USB plug to phone's charging port. The charging indicator
starts to flash.
3. Once the battery is fully charged, the charging indicator stops flashing.
4. Once phone has been fully charged disconnect the charger from phone's charging port and
from the power outlet.
Alternatively, use the provided charging cradle.
WARNING: When a travel charger and its accessories are used to charge the battery,
check rst whether they have been made or approved by the manufacturer. Using
other accessories can damage your mobile phone and present a risk.
3.5 Switching phone on for the rst time
1. Press and hold the key.
2. If a SIM card is inserted when the phone is turned on, the phone will ask you to select a display
and writing language. It will then request you input a PIN code.

3. Press the left or key while Display language is selected, use the direction keys ( and
) to select your desired language, then press the left or key again to confirm your
choice.
4. Press the key to select Writing language, then repeat the process from the previous step.
5. Enter the PIN code (provided with the SIM card) and press the left or key.
6. Once the language has been configured, press Done to confirm.
Tip: By default, the date and time are updated automatically by the SIM card.
When you set the date and time manually, this feature is turned o. To turn this
feature back on, go to Menu > Settings > Phone > Date & time > Update time
settings. Select Auto update time, then press the left and keys.
4. NAVIGATING MAIN MENU
4.1 Controls

To access the main menu, press the left or key. In general, to confirm a choice (OK) or
see a list of options in a menu, you can also use these keys.
To go back or cancel an option, use the right key. Use the key to go back to the main
screen.
To scroll through the menus, use the and keys.
To move left or right, use the M1 and M2 keys.
4.2 Shortcuts
Tip: The shortcuts are preassigned, however they can be changed.
To change default shortcuts go to: Menu > Settings > Phone > Dedicated keys
You have two shortcut keys ( and keys) to which features can be assigned.
To assign a feature to the shortcut key, from the Dedicated keys menu, press the left or
key to access the feature list. Press and keys to select a feature, then press the left
or key to confirm. Press Done to confirm.

5. SOS MODE FUNCTION
Tip: This phone has a built-in Emergency SOS feature that in case of an accident
can directly connect you with your chosen emergency contacts.
When you request assistance with the Emergency SOS Key, the phone
automatically calls the assigned emergency numbers.
Go to Menu > SOS and press the left or key, you will see following options:
SOS number list Add or edit a list of 5 SOS numbers.
SOS message settings Modify your SOS message (to be sent by SMS).
SOS settings Toggle the SOS button on/off, and customize its behaviour.
Help Displays a detailed explanation of each SOS option.
Making an emergency call
To make an emergency call, press and hold the SOS button on the back of your phone for
3-5 seconds. The phone will emit an audible alarm (if activated), send a customized SOS message
(if activated), then call the numbers on the SOS number list one after the other, ve times. If the
call is not answered and conrmed within 20 seconds, the phone will call the next number, and so
on.
In the SOS message settings menu, you can customize an SOS message that is automatically
send to the contacts on your SOS number list in emergency situations.
In the SOS settings menu, you can toggle the SOS function on/o with the left or key. If
the SOS function is enabled, you can toggle the SOS message, SOS ring alert, and SOS LED alert
on/o in the same manner.
Editing number list
You can add up to ve emergency contacts (relatives, friends, emergency services, etc.) to your
SOS number list. Remember to inform these contacts that they are on your emergency list.
1. Select SOS from the main menu, then select SOS number list.
2. Highlight the first contact spot, then press left key (Options).
3. Select Add from contacts to add a number from your contacts or select Edit to insert a new
number using the keypad. Press the left or key to confirm.
4. Scroll to the next SOS contact and repeat the same procedure to add another number.
5. To edit/delete a SOS contact, select the contact and press the left key, then select Edit or
Clear.

SOS message
The SOS message is sent to emergency contacts when the SOS button is activated.
To edit the SOS message
1. Access the SOS menu, use the key to select SOS message settings, then press the left
or key to confirm.
2. Use the keypad to edit the help message. By default, the SOS message contains the following
text: “I need help”. Press the left or key to save modifications, or press the key to
exit without saving modifications.
To activate/deactivate the SOS message
1. Access the SOS menu, use the key to select SOS settings, then press the left or key
to confirm.
2. Use the key to select SOS message sending, then press the left or key to toggle
SOS messages On/Off.
SOS Ring Alert
When activated, the SOS ring alert will emit an alarm sound when the SOS function is triggered.
This can be toggled on/o via SOS settings.
SOS LED Alert
When activated, the SOS LED Alert will turn on when the SOS function is triggered. This can be
toggled on/o via SOS settings.
6. BASIC FUNCTIONS
6.1 Making a call
There are 3 key ways to make a call:
1. From the main screen, enter the number directly on the keypad.
2. Press the right key to access Contacts (Phone book), or go to the Main Menu and select
Contacts (phone book) menu. Then choose a contact.
3. From the main screen, press the key to access and select a number from the call log.
Whichever method you choose, press the key to make a call.
To end a call, press key or close flip cover.
Tip: To adjust the volume during call, press the / keys on the keypad.
6.2 Answering an incoming call
There are 2 key ways to answer a call:
1. Press the key.
2. Press the left key.
3. To end a call, press key or close flip cover.
You can also answer a call directly from your headset if one is connected.
Press the key to reject the call. The caller will be transferred to your voicemail.

Tip:
To mute an incoming call without rejecting it, press the right / / / keys.
hDuring a call, press the left key to see available options:
Connect to BT headset Connect to a Bluetooth®device.
Add new call Put current call on hold and switch to another incoming call. Press the
left key and select Hold & Answer to hold the rst call and answer
the second call. To hang up rst call and answer the second call, press
the left key and select Release & Answer. Go to Settings > Call
settings > Call waiting, you can activate or deactivate this feature.
However, this feature can be available or not, it depends also on the
Network operator and type of subscription.
Hold Put the current call on hold.
Start recording Record current call. After answering the call, press the left key and
scroll down to select Start recording. To stop the recording during the
conversation, press the left key again and scroll down to select
Stop recording. The recorded file will be stored in SD card or the
phone, to play it back, go to Multimedia > Audio player > Options >
Music list.
Mute Turn on/off microphone.
Adjust volume Adjust the volume higher/lower.
Contacts Access phone book. Making a call to a contact will place the ongoing
call on hold.
Call logs Access call history.
Messages Check, read, write and send messages while keeping the phone call
connected.
6.3 Using voicemail
1. To edit your voicemail number, go to Menu > Message > Voice mail.
2. Input the voicemail number with your keypad. Use the right key to delete digits and use the
left key to conrm the number.
3. Press and hold the key from the main screen to call your voicemail number.
6.4 Using sound proles
The sound Profiles menu allows for the personalization of the ring tone, key tone and dial tone.
You can also set the ring type, adjust ring volume and turn on & o low battery alert etc.
To set/edit sound proles, go to: Menu > Settings, scroll down to Profiles, use the / keys
to select a profile, press the left key to access Options, then scroll down to Settings, then
press the key again to activate the prole.
hTo set ring tone of calls and messages, press the left key when a prole is highlighted.
Then, select settings followed by Ring settings by pressing the left or key, select Caller
ringtone or Message ringtone, press the left or key.
1. Press the left or key to select a pre-defined ringtone from Fixed ringtones.
2. Use the key to scroll down to More ringtones then press the left or key select audio
files stored in your SD card as a ring tone.
hYou can adjust volume of incoming calls alerts, message ringtones, alarm and calender
ringtone, speech dial volume, etc. by selecting Adjust volume in the Proles menu.

hYou can choose the alert type of incoming calls, messages, and calendar and alarms - select
Ring type, choose a function, then select between Ringtone, Vibrate, Silent, Vibrate then
ring, and Ring and vibrate.
hTo set Key tone and Dial tone and toggle Battery low alert in the Proles menu, scroll down
to Other alert rings and press the left or key, select the submenu you want to modify,
and press the left or key again. Use the / keys to select an option and press the
left or key to conrm. Once the changes are made, press Done to conrm and save
modications.
Tip: When on a main screen, press and hold the #key to switch between the
dierent sound proles.
6.5 Using call logs
In this menu you can browse all the calls: Missed calls/Dialled calls/Received calls/Rejected
calls. You can also delete all call logs and check the Call timers.
hWhen in the Missed calls/Dialled calls/Received calls/Rejected calls menu, press the
key to see available options:
Details Display the number, date, time, call time, and type of call.
Call Call the selected number.
Write message Send SMS/MMS message to the selected number.
Add contacts Save the number to a new or existing contact. From Missed
calls/Dialled calls/Received calls/Rejected calls list, press the
left key and select Add to Contacts > Add to new contact/
Add to existing contact. For further information, refer to "7.6 To
add a new contact from the Call History".
Add to Blacklist Add the number to the blacklist. When this number calls, it
will be rejected automatically. To check call logs of blacklisted
numbers, go to Rejected calls. To remove a number or a
contact from Blacklist, you can either go to call options again
and select Remove from blacklist, or go to Settings > Security
>Scroll down to Blacklist > Select Blacklist list > select the
number or contact to remove >Select Options > select Delete
>Select OK to confirm.
Delete Delete the selected number from call logs.
Delete all Delete all call logs.
Mark Mark to delete or call the selected number.

Tip: Call logs can be also directly accessed by pressing the key from the main
screen. In this case missed, dialled, received, and rejected calls will be shown
together.
6.6 Using phonebook (Contacts)
You can store contact information for your Contacts both on your SIM card and your phone. The
phone memory can hold up to 300 contacts.
To access your Contacts, press the right key from the main screen or enter the main menu
and select Contacts. When in Contacts, press the left key to see available options:
View contact Display and edit the name and number of the selected contact.
New contact Add new number to contact list via saved in the phone or SIM
card.
Write message Send SMS or MMS message to selected contact.
Call Call selected contact.
Delete Delete selected contact from contact list.
Delete multiple Mark several contacts to delete them at once.
Copy/Move Copy or move contacts from SIM card to phone.
Import/Export Import or export contacts to or from another folder.
Add to/remove from
blacklist
Add or remove the selected contact from the blacklist.
Others Access to set Speed dial number (Assign selected contact to a
direct memory key: M1 & M2; or to numbers 2 to 9) and allows for
checking memory status.
Quick search
1. In the Contacts menu, press any numeric key between 0 - 9, to access the search box.
2. Use the keypad to input the name of a contact. The relevant contacts will be listed on the
screen as the selection is narrowed down. Press or to select desired contact.
To add a new contact
1. In the Contacts menu, press the left key, scroll down to New contact, then press the left
or key. Select where (in the phone or SIM card) to save the contact.
2. Select the item (Modify icon, Name, Mobile, Default ringtones) to be modified, press the left
key and select Edit, then use the keypad to enter the information. All these options are available
if contact is created on Phone memory. If contacts are created on the SIM card, only "Name"
and "Mobile number" options are available.

3. Press the left key, use the key to select Save, then press the left or key again to
save the number.
To add a new contact from the Call History
1. Go to Menu > Call logs from the main menu.
2. Enter one of the submenus: Missed, Dialed, Received, Rejected calls.
3. Select the number you want to save with / keys.
4. Press left key to open the option menu and select Add to contacts.
5. Select Add to new contact or Add to existing contact, then choose whether to save to the
phone or the SIM card, then press the left or key.
6. Modify the contact information like contact icon, name, number, and default ringtone.
7. Scroll down to Options > Save, then press the left or key to save the contact.
To add a new contact by typing a new number
From the main screen of the phone, enter the number you would like to register.
1. Press the left key and select Add to contact, two choices are listed: Add to new contact
and Add to existing contact. Select to save the number in the Phone or SIM card.
2. Use the key to select the item (Modify icon, Name, Number, Default ringtones) to be
modified and use the keypad to enter the information.
3. Scroll down to Options > Save, then press the left or key to save the contact.
To delete a contact
1. In the Contacts menu, press / keys to select the contact to be deleted.
2. Press the left key, select Delete using the key, then press the left key again to
confirm. To cancel the deletion, press the right key.
To delete multiple contacts
1. Enter the Contacts menu.
2. Press the left key, select Delete multiple using the key. Press the left or key to
confirm.
3. Enter searching word using the keypad, then use / keys to select the contact you want to
delete. When the contact you wish to delete is underlined, press the left key and select
Mark or simply press the key. Use same method to mark other numbers. When finished,
press the left key and select OK. A dialog box pops out, press the left or key to
confirm the deletion.
4. To delete all contacts, in Delete multiple menu, press the left key and select Mark all.
Press the left key and select OK. Be very cautious when executing this feature as it will
delete all contacts in your Contacts.
To copy contacts from SIM to phone
You can copy selected contacts from SIM card to the phone.
1. In the Contacts menu, press the left key, then select Copy/Move > Copy using the key.
2. Select SIM or Phone by pressing the key while Copy from is selected. Press the left
key to select Copy, search the contacts to be copied. Mark every contact you want to copy by
pressing the left key and select Mark, or press . When the contacts are marked, select
Options > OK, these contacts are copied to the desired location.
3. To check the copied numbers, go to Menu > Contacts (Phone book). Contacts saved to the
SIM card and the phone memory will display different icons.

To set up a speed dial number
You can assign a speed dial to the keys: 2-9, M1 and M2.
1. In the Contacts menu, press the left key, select Others using the key.
2. When Speed dial is selected, press the left key to confirm.
3. When M1, M2, or 2-9 are selected, go to Options > Edit or press the key. From the Input
number screen, enter the number in with the keypad then select OK or press the key.
Alternatively, press the left key to select a contact, then select OK or press the key.
4. Repeat the same method to assign any other key.
To check memory status
To check phone memory status, go to: Menu > Contacts > Others > Memory status, then press
the left or key.
To add a contact to blacklist
Go to: Menu > Call logs > Missed calls/Dialed calls/Received calls, then press the left or
key. In the selected list, press the left key and select Add to blacklist. incoming call and
messages from the selected number will be intercepted. To check the call log of contacts on the
blacklist, go to Menu > Call logs > Rejected calls.
6.7 Sending text messages (SMS)
1. To send a message, go to: Menu > Messages > Write message > New SMS.
2. Type the message and press the left key to open the Options menu.
3. Select Send and either enter the phone number using the keypad or go to Options > Add from
contacts. Use the / keys to select contacts. When the desired contact is selected, press
the left key and select Mark or simply press the key. Use the same method to mark other
desired recipients. When finished, press the left key and select OK. The numbers will be
displayed in the contacts menu.
4. Press the left or key to access Options menu and press Send.
hWhen editing a text message (SMS), press the left key to see the available options:
Send Access to insert number directly or select number from your Contacts.
Insert template Insert a predefined message. You can add or edit templates at: Menu >
Messages > Templates.
Add contact info Access your Contacts to select a contact number to insert into the
content of the message.
Add phiz  Choose from a list of emoticons to add to the message.
Save as draft Save message in Drafts folder so it can be sent later.
Exit Return to Write message screen.

Note: If text message exceeds 160 characters you will be charged for multiple text
messages. Letters, symbols, and spaces count as characters.
How to type using keypad
The letters of the alphabet are arranged on numeric keys from 2 to 9.
Whenever you are in text entry mode, to enter a name, send a message or other text based
inputs, mobile phone will automatically change to letter mode.
The letters written on numeric keys are entered depending on how many times you press the
key. This is called multi-tap mode.
For example, to write name John, press:
> 5key once for J,
> 6key three times for O,
> 4key twice for H, and
> 6key twice for N
To insert a space press 0 key.
If you have made a mistake and want to delete letter(s) press the right key.
Press 1key repeatedly to choose common punctuation marks.
Press *key to access soft keyboard of special characters, press and keys to select the
desired character and press the left or key to confirm.
How to select input method (abc, Abc & ABC)
Press #key and select 4 available input methods, press and keys to select the input
mode and press the left or key to confirm. You can also press the 1 - 4 numeric keys to
switch the input mode.

hTo select txt language, press the 5 numeric key or press key to select Writing language
and press the left or key to access the language selection screen.
hWhen in Inbox menu, open a message and press left or key to see available options:
View View selected message.
Reply Reply SMS or MMS to the sender.
Delete Delete selected message.
Call Call the sender.
Lock Lock the selected message.
Move Move the message from SIM card to phone or vice versa.
Copy Copy the message to SIM card from phone or vice versa.
Mark Mark the message on the SIM card/phone or vice versa.
Sort Sort the message on the SIM card/phone or vice versa.
Add sender to Save the sender number to new contact or existing contact.
Delete repeat
numbers Delete repeat numbers.
Add to blacklist Add the selected number to blacklist.

6.8 Sending multimedia messages (MMS)
Note: Sending MMS is similar to SMS. The main dierence is adding media. Use
MMS to send attachments such as pictures or music les.
1. To send an MMS, go to: Menu > Messages > Write message > New MMS. The Recipient
input box is selected by default. To specify a recipient, press the left or key. From here,
you can either type a number, then select Options >Save; or insert a number through your
contacts by selecting Options > Recipients,then use / keys to select the contact. When
the contact you wish to select is selected, press the left key and select Mark or simply
press the key. Use same method to mark other numbers. When finished, press the left
key and select OK. The numbers will be displayed in the recipients menu. From here, select
Options > Save.
2. Press key to select Subject input box, press the left or key to edit the subject
content. When finished, press the left or key.
3. Press key to select TEXT input box, press the left or key to edit the text content.
When finished, press the left or key.
4. Press key to select Photo attachment box, press the left key to access the photo list,
use or key to select a photo le, then press the left key.
5. Press key to select Music attachment box, press the left key to access the audio list, use
or key to select a music file, then press the left key.
6. Press the left key to access the Options menu and select Send.
hWhen editing a media message (MMS), scroll down to the Photo or Music attach box and
press the left key to see available options:
Edit Access to change contact number, attached photo or music or
edit the content of subject or text.
Send Access to send the media message.
Preview Preview (play) message before it is sent.
Add new recipient Access the Recipient menu.
Add Access the TEXT, Photo, or Music menus.
Delete Delete the currently selected photo or music.
Save as draft Save a message in Drafts folder so it can be sent later.

6.9 Using multimedia
Note: A memory card is required to use the multimedia functions. Micro SD cards
up to 32 GB are supported.
Multimedia section acts as an access hub to below phone tools:

Using camera
This phone is equipped with a 1.2 MP built-in camera. It can be accessed from main screen by
pressing the key. Once in Camera menu, to take a picture press the or key. You can
also go to Multimedia and select Camera to access the camera.
hWhen in Camera mode, press the left key to browse available Options:
Image viewer Display and edit all pictures saved on phone and memory card.
Video mode Access the video recording mode.
Effect Adjust this setting by selecting from the different choices.
Contrast Adjust the contrast with the M1 and M2 keys.
Brightness Adjust the brightness with the M1 and M2 keys.
White balance Adjust the white balance settings of your camera.
Settings Change various camera settings: flash, image size, quality,
banding, shutter sound, auto save, storage location, and
continuous shot.
Using video recorder
When in video recorder, press the or key to start recording a video. Press the left key to
browse available Options:
Video player Access and manage the recorded video list.
Camera mode Access the photo taking mode.
Effect Adjust this setting by selecting from the different choices.
Contrast Adjust the contrast with the M1 and M2 keys.

Brightness Adjust the brightness with the M1 and M2 keys.
Settings Change various video settings: flash, video size, banding, audio,
video format, and storage location.
hPress the left or key to stop the recording and the right key to cancel the recording.
When the video recording stops, press the left key to browse available Options:
New Start to record a fresh new video.
Delete Access to delete the current recorded video.
Send Share the current recorded video through MMS or Bluetooth®.
Play Start the playback of the current recorded video.
Video player Access and manage the recorded video list such as set video
wallpaper.
Image viewer
The Image viewer allows you to view photos in JPG format. Use the M1, M2 and / keys to
select photos and the left key to browse available Options:
View Review photos using the / / M1/ M2 keys.
Delete Delete the selected photo(s).
Mark Access to select multiple or all photos to be deleted or for slide
play.
Rename Change the name of a selected photo.
Slide play View a slideshow of all selected photos.
Details View details of a selected photo.
