Thank you for purchasing the TELE System model TS6800 T2HEVC digital terrestrial receiver.
This guide provides information about using the device, connections, commands on the device, and how to care for the
device so that you can learn more about your new receiver.
To make consultation easier, the manual has been divided into several sections:
1. The first is related to the installation, the receiver connections with other devices and functions of the remote control.
2. The second focuses on simplified usage, where basic information necessary for everyday use is provided.
3. The third section is dedicated to advanced usage, customization and more complex characteristics.
WARNING
Using the receiver, albeit simple, requires knowledge of the background information contained in this guide. An attentive
reading of the manual is therefore recommended. In this way, you can use the device in an optimal way, without any
problems or malfunctions.

1 Installation Section
1.1 Safety and disposal instructions
For a safe use of the appliance and for your safety, please read the following advice concerning safety measures.
POWER SUPPLY
Interposing the supplied power supply unit, the receiver should only be connected to a 230V ~ 50 Hz power socket.
Do not remove the cover of the receiver. Higher voltages than that of the power may be present inside the unit which could endanger
the safety of the user. The high voltage is present even when the appliance is in standby mode, so before working on the receiver you
must disconnect it from the mains. Unauthorized removal will immediately void the warranty!
POWER CORD
Before installing the product, check the integrity of the supply cable of the power supply, paying particular attention to the point where it
enters the outlet and the point in which comes out from the receiver. If the cord is damaged, do not plug the appliance in and contact
the Service Center.
Install the appliance power cord so as to avoid crushing it with objects placed on or next to it. Also avoid placing it near passageways
where it can be accidentally stepped on, torn or otherwise damaged.
In case of damage of the cable, disconnect the device from the power outlet and refer to qualified staff or a Service Centre for
replacement.
LIQUIDS
Keep the receiver away from any type of liquid. Do not place objects such as vases, humidifiers etc. filled with liquids on the product.
The appliance must not be installed in places where it can come in contact with spray or liquid splashing or in environments with high
humidity where condensation may form.
If the receiver is in contact with liquids, immediately remove the plug from the wall socket. DO NOT TOUCH the receiver with your
hands until it has been disconnected.
SMALL ITEMS
Keep pins and other small items away from the receiver. Objects that fall inside the device, through the ventilation slots, can cause
serious damage.
CLEANING
Prior to cleaning, disconnect the receiver from the power outlet.
To clean the outside of the device use a soft dry cloth or a cloth slightly moistened with water. Avoid the use of chemicals or solvents.
VENTILATION
Make sure that the appliance is installed in a place where there is a good air circulation to allow a sufficient heat dissipation and avoid
overheating.
To allow adequate ventilation, it is appropriate to provide for a minimum distance of 10 cm on both sides of the appliance and a
distance of 15 cm above the appliance.
The ventilation slots must be free, not obstructed by the presence of objects such as newspapers, tablecloths, furniture fabrics, curtains,
carpets etc.
Do not install the receiver near any heat sources (radiators, heaters, etc.) or other equipment that produces heat (AMPS, VCRs, etc.).
ATTENTION!
Keep the product out of the reach of children.
The plastic bag packaging can be dangerous. To avoid suffocation keep the bags out of the reach of children.
Do not expose the receiver or the remote control to direct sunlight.
The appliance must be placed on a solid and secure base.
Connect the device to the power outlet only after you have completed the installation.
DISPOSAL
The symbol of the crossed out trash bin indicates that it is prohibited to dispose of this product in the environment or throw
it in the mixed municipal waste. Whoever does not respect this rule is punishable in accordance with existing legislation.
A proper disposal of the appliance enables you to avoid potential damage to the environment and human health, as well as
to facilitate recycling of components and materials contained in it, resulting in a saving of energy and resources.
The manufacturer has established a system for the recovery of electrical and electronic equipment (RAEE or REEE) waste
of the product subject to separate collection and treatment systems using plants which comply with the provisions in force.
Take the product that is no longer usable (and any accessories, including batteries) to an authorized collection point which can handle
electrical and electronic equipment waste. Alternatively, you can return the used or old equipment to the retailer when purchasing a new
equivalent type or free of charge in case of household appliances by external dimensions smaller than 25 cm.

1.2 Description and product links
1.2.1 Front panel
1. USB USB Connectors for reading personal multimedia content (videos, pictures, music) and video recording from an
integrated digital terrestrial tuner when allowed by the transmission.
WARNINGS
Compatible with USB storage devices formatted with the file system FAT32 type.
Compatibility with all USB memory devices on the market cannot be guaranteed.
We recommend using USB HDD with external power supply since the receiver cannot guarantee the correct power via
the USB port. This will avoid possible damage to the storage device.

WARNING
During standby status, the time that appears on the display may not be accurate if the broadcaster of the last tuned channel

1.2.2 Rear panel connections
1. RF IN Antenna signal input.
2. RF OUT Antenna signal loop output for connection to a device equipped with digital terrestrial TV tuner (optional).
3. SPDIF Coaxial digital audio output to connect a multichannel audio amplifier Home-Theater (optional).
4. HDMI Digital HDMI audio-video output for high definition, dedicated to connecting a screen with HDMI interface.
NOTE
If the screen is connected to the receiver via HDMI interface presents difficulties, first connect the receiver via SCART
SOCKET and adjust the Resolution page from the Image menu of the same receiver respecting the characteristics of the
connected screen.
5. SCART TV SCART standard-resolution analog audio-video output for connection to a monitor/TV; an alternative to
HDMI output.
6. 12V 1A Power input 12V 1A for connecting the included power supply which in turn must be connected to a
230V~ 50 Hz mains socket.

1.3 Remote control unit
Knowing how to work the remote control forms the basis for using the receiver for easy navigation between the various
menus and functions.
1.3.1 Batteries
Information and warnings
Insert or replace the batteries before first use or when the remote control stops responding properly to keystrokes.
Compatible with: 2 x AAA, 1.5 V batteries.
To prevent leakage of corrosive liquid that may damage the remote control, we recommend that you remove the batteries
when the device is not used for a long period.
Avoid the use of different types of batteries or new and used batteries together.
Inserting and removing
Once you open the battery door at the back of the remote control, insert 2 batteries (AAA format) respecting the correct
polarity as indicated inside the battery compartment. Then close the door.
Remove exhausted batteries, which must be disposed of separately from domestic waste and taken to any point of sale or
collection center, and repeat insertion operations.
1.3.2 Buttons and remote control functions

(*) In order to control your TV, the TV buttons must be programmed as described
in this manual (par. 1.3.3).
(**) Information about programs, teletext, subtitles and additional audio tracks are
provided by the broadcaster of the tuned channel. This data may be incomplete or
absent.

1.3.3 Programming the TV keys
1.3.3.1 Changing TV codes
The predefined TV codes are in the list annexed to these instructions (see appendix A). First identify the kind of TV you want
to control, and then follow the steps listed below:
1. Turn on the TV you want to control.
2. Press the TV button for about 2 seconds until the LED indicator on the remote control remains lit.
3. Enter the 3-digit code that corresponds to the brand of the TV you want to control using the numeric keys 0-9.
4. If the code entered is valid, the LED will turn off. Otherwise, if it is wrong, it will flash a few times before going off. If this
happens, programming will terminate (start again from point 1).
5. Verify that the TV responds properly to the remote control keys, at least limited to basic functions. If not, repeat the TV
programming key using another code among those on the list dedicated to the brand of your TV (resume from point 1).
If your brand is not in the list or none of the default codes allows you to control your TV, try to identify or define an
appropriate program by following one of the following methods.
1.3.3.2 Manual search of TV codes
1. Turn on the TV you want to control.
2. Point the remote towards the IR sensor on your television and keep it pointed in that direction throughout the procedure.
3. Press the TV button for about 2 seconds until the indicator LED on the remote control remains lit.
4. Press one of the following keys: q, CH +, CH-.
5. As soon as your TV responds appropriately to the command, turning off or changing channels (in accordance with the
key you pressed). Press OK to store the code. The LED will then turn off.
Verify that the TV responds properly to the other buttons on the remote control, at least limited to basic functions. If not,
continue the search for an appropriate code by repeating the procedure (resume from point 1).
1.3.3.3 Programming through learning
TV codes listed in appendix A already provide basic functions to control the TV. You can still extend the programs associated
with the default TV codes thanks to the learning function. To take advantage of learning programming, you must have the
original remote control of your TV. Use fresh batteries both for the remote to program the decoder and for the original one for
the TV.
1. Keep TV button pressed for about 4 seconds until the indicator LED blinks and then remains lit.
2. Point your original TV remote transmitter at the remote sensor on the IR sensor of the decoder remote control at a
distance of about 3 centimeters. Make sure the two IR sensors are aligned throughout the procedure.
3. Press once on the remote control button on the decoder remote you wish to program: the LED will begin to flash slowly.
4. Press once on the button on the original remote control of the TV set corresponding to the function to associate to that
button of the decoder remote control button you selected in the previous step. Once the command has been acquired,
the remote control of the decoder will be waiting for the next acquisition with the LED lit.
NOTE
The acquisition is not immediate; it may take up to 2 or 3 seconds.
5. Repeat the two previous steps, 3 and 4, for all keys to be programmed.
6. After programming of all keys you want, press TV to save the program and exit the learning mode.
NOTES AND WARNINGS
Before learning programming, we recommend using fresh batteries in both remotes.
TV keys and STB are not programmable through learning.
1.3.4 Using the remote control
After having programmed the remote to control your TV, it will work like the original TV remote control, at least limited to
basic functions such as turning on and off, volume control and audio return channel.
To control the decoder or the TV, perform a single short press on the corresponding function keys STB (cable box) or TV
(television) and point the remote at the IR sensor of the device concerned. Upon transmission of each command, the infrared
indicator LED on the remote control will light up.

1.4 Before installing the receiver
When you are finished connecting the receiver (par. 1.2.2 ), the power supply is connected to the mains supply, and
positioned the 0/I switch on the rear panel to position I, the receiver will start up automatically. If it does not happen, turn on
the device using the appropriate button qon the remote control or of the front panel. You will then see a simple installation
wizard on the screen.
NOTE
The installation wizard will be presented not only upon the first installation, but even after a reset of the receiver (par. 3.6.2).
Follow the instructions below:
OSD Language
Select the OSD language on the menu displayed on the screen (OSD-On Screen Display) with the arrow keys ◄◄►►.
Then go to the next parameter by pressing the arrow button ▼.
Country
Set the Country of installation using the arrow keys ◄◄►and proceed by pressing the arrow button ▼.
WARNING
The incorrect setting of the Country could lead to a partial or even a lack of identifying and storing the channels.
Sets Password
Define a four-digit numeric password, Personal Identification Number (PIN), for parental control (see also par. 3.6.1 ). Enter
the PIN code you chose in the field Enter new Password, and then reinsert it in Confirm Password to confirm it. Press
EXIT button to advance in the installation.
Channel Scan
Wait until the end of the automatic channel search, during which the receiver will store the channels and will automatically
assign them to a location on the list, according to the logical numbering (LCN) required by broadcasters of the same
channels. In the event that two or more channels require the same number of position, the receiver will autonomously provide
for the automatic assignment of the position in the channel list in the conflict, which may be changed later by the user through
the Channel Manager menu (par. 3.1.1).
Channel viewing
After completing the above steps, and then the installation, you can now enjoy digital terrestrial channels available and the
USB media player.
NOTES AND WARNINGS
Some channels may be not visible because subject to encoding or not compatible with this receiver.
During the life of the receiver, the channels could become obsolete or the transmission parameters could change. You
may want to upgrade or reinstall the channels list periodically (par. 3.3).

2 Section for simplified use
WARNING
Before reading this chapter you should have read the previous chapter.
In order to simplify the use of the receiver and the management of several digital channels, there are some windows and
menus accessible by pressing a single button on the remote control (par. 1.3.2 ). They are designed for frequent use and
their functions are indispensable for fast interaction with the receiver.
For advanced use, settings and customizations refer to Chapter 3.
2.1 Channel information Banner
Each time you change channel or press the INFO button, for a few seconds an Info window will appear at the bottom of the
screen; this window is also known as channel information banner for the tuned channel. The information that can be present
in this banner is:
1. The channel number.
2. The name of the channel.
3. The current time.
4. Times and titles of the current program and the following program.
Also, when the channel information banner is active, pressing the INFO button again displays detailed information about the
current and next program.
NOTE
If the broadcaster does not transmit the above information, they will not appear on the channel banner.
2.2 Selection Quick TV/Radio channels
To change channel, follow one of these procedures:
Press CH + /- on the remote control to navigate to the next/previous channel.
Enter the desired channel number using the numeric keys 0 ÷ 9 on the remote control.
Alternatively, for a convenient way to manage the large number of TV and radio channels that digital terrestrial transmission
provides, use the quick channel list accessible during the vision of the programs by pressing the OK button on the remote
control, then:
Press the buttons ▲/▼to scroll through the list of one channel at a time.
Press the buttons ◄/►to quickly scroll the list one page at a time.
Press OK on channel chosen to tune into it.
The change between TV and Radio channels can be accessed within the channel list using the quick BLUE button (Filter) on
the remote control.
For the advanced management of the channel list, especially for a favorite channels lists, refer to the paragraph 3.1.1.
2.3 Electronic program guide (EPG)
Some digital TV channels broadcast, in addition to audio-video data of the current program, information regarding the current
programming and, in some cases, even daily or weekly schedules.
To consult the EPG, press the EPG button on the remote control or, alternatively, access the Channel menu > EPG, then:
With the buttons ▲/▼select a channel and press OK to tune into it.
With the buttons ◄/►navigate between events programming on the channel selected.
Press the YELLOW button (Date) and then the buttons ◄/►► to change day of programming.
At an event, press INFO to view any additional information on the same.
Use the EXIT button to exit the EPG.
From this menu, by pressing RED (Book), you can also directly access the menu for manual programming of timer recording
or viewing (par. 2.7).
WARNING
The EPG information is optional data transmitted by the broadcasters. Therefore, failure to display all or some of the
information is not a symptom of failure of the receiver.
2.4 Teletext Function
If displayed channel is equipped with teletext data:
Use the TEXT button to start it.
Use the numerical keys 0 ÷ 9 to type a page number, the arrow keys ◄ / ► to go to a subpage and colored buttons
to go to the pages indicated/marked.
Press again the button TEXT or EXIT to exit.
2.5 Option Audio and Subtitles
If the current channel is broadcast in audio/multi language and/or contains subtitles, you can select the audio track and
subtitle you prefer. Proceed as follows:

Press AUDIO or SUB on the remote control.
Select with the arrow keys ▲/▼the audio track or subtitle you want.
Press OK to confirm.
In addition, while listening to the audio track, the arrows ◄/►help you manage the distribution of the left channel (left) and
(right); this is recommended only for advanced users.
2.6 USB Functions
The USB port located on the front panel of the device is dedicated primarily to connect external storage devices with USB 2.0
interface in order to record free-to-view tuner built into the receiver or play media.
2.6.1 Use and warnings
Before proceeding with the use of a mass storage USB as a hard-disk (Hard Disk-HDD Driver) or a flash/memory stick, follow
these important rules and warnings below.
2.6.1.1 Connection and disk formatting
The USB device must be formatted in FAT32 and to take advantage of the video recording function (par. 2.6.2 ), it must have
a free memory capacity suited to the needs.
At the first connection of a USB memory device or after any formatting, the receiver will create a folder named HBPVR that
will be used by the same as archive recordings.
WARNINGS
It is recommended to use hard drives with external power supply, as the only USB port of the receiver cannot guarantee
proper power supply: The risk is to damage the disk and/or receiver!
The receiver is only compatible with USB storage devices formatted with FAT32 File System.
Compatibility is not guaranteed with all USB memory devices on the market.
2.6.1.2 Disk Removal
For a safe removal of the memory, in order to avoid damage of the device or a file, it is advisable to disconnect the USB
memory only during the idle USB port (no registration, no reproduction) when the receiver is in standby with USB port power
off.
WARNING
The removal of memory while writing (recording) or read data (reproduction) can damage the contents and the devices
involved.
2.6.2 Personal Video Recording (PVR)
Before proceeding with the use of a mass storage USB as a hard-disk (Hard Disk-HDD Driver) or a flash/memory stick, follow
these important rules and warnings given in par. 2.6.1.
2.6.2.1 Recording TV Programs
NOTES
The receiver is equipped with a single TV tuner. While recording, it will display a different channel, provided the latter is
broadcast on the same frequency in channel recording.
Broadcasters may decide to prohibit the registration for issues related to the protection of copyright.
Registration is allowed only for TV channels transmitted in plain text, not encrypted TV channels or radio.
Instant recording
To start recording manually, tune into the desired channel and press the REC button. To stop the recording, press the STOP
button and confirm.
Scheduled recording
You can schedule multiple timer recordings manually (or, alternatively, by simple vision) by accessing the menu timer
programming related directly with the remote control TIMER or EPG menu with the RED key (Book). Refer to paragraph 2.7.
2.6.2.2 Playback of recorded content
Recorded files are saved in the USB memory dedicated to recording and can be retrieved by accessing the HBPVR folder
from the menu Multimedia > PVR.
Pressing OK on a recording, playback will start. Press RED to switch from preview mode to display the internal screen and
vice versa.
When reading, use the arrow keys 2d (PLAY/PAUSE) to pause/resume the vision, 5/ 6(REW/FWD) to rewind/fast forward
and 3(STOP) to stop playback. In addition, the BLUE button lets you change the playback mode (loop/single/folder/random).
Instead, when viewing the list of recorded files, use the GREEN keys to rename a recording, YELLOW and OK to select and
confirm the cancellation of one or more files.
