Unpacking The Cleaner
Remove all packaging from the appliance and accessories.
Retain the packaging. If you dispose of it, do so according to
any recycling regulations.
Identify the cleaner components from the illustrations. If any
items are missing or damaged, contact your nearest Tesco store
for assistance. Please have your receipt ready when you call.

Locate the hose collar in the hose inlet. Push the collar in and
turn slightly to lock the hose in place.
Press the two catches at the side of the collar. Hold the catches

Operating your Vacuum Cleaner
1:`To extend the power cord:

Never extend the cord beyond the
red mark or you may damage the
cord winding mechanism.

Gently pull the cord from the recess
located in the rear of the cleaner. The
cord has two marks.
The mark shows the maximum
safe length to which you can extend
the cord. If you can see the mark
the cord has been lengthened too
much.
Unplug the cord. The handle
incorporates the Cord Release. Press the handle down. Gently
guide the cord back by hand into the cleaner until it is fully
rewound. Do not let the cord return unaided or it may whip and
cause damage or injury.
Connect the hose and extensions to the appliance.
Open the airflow slider in the handle.
Extend the power cord to a usable length.
Plug the unit into the mains and switch on the power.
Press the Mains ON/OFF switch to switch the power ON.
(Press again to switch the power OFF)
Move the vacuum head back and forth over the surface. Use
even strokes.
Open and close the airflow slider to vary the suction power of
the cleaner.
The is adjustable for use on carpets or bare floors.
Press the lever showing the Brush Symbol. The
brush will appear .
Press the lever showing the Floor symbol to retract
the floor brush.
The is used to vacuum down the side of cushions,
and in recesses and folds in curtains etc.
The cleaner may be carried in a horizontal position with the
regular handle. It may also be carried vertically using the
handgrip recess in the base.

When you have finished vacuuming:

Switch off and unplug the appliance.
Rewind the power cord.
Disconnect the accessories and store the cleaner in the
vertical position or place the cleaner normally with the
accessories in the parked position.
The Dust bag should be emptied at
regular intervals to prevent clogging,
with a loss of suction power and poor
cleaning. When the 'Dust Bag Full'
indicator goes red the dust bag must be
emptied to avoid damage to the cleaner
Lift the top cover release catch
and hinge the cover up
Carefully detach the bag from the cradle and discard it.
Place a new bag in the cradle making sure that the top fits
securely behind all the tabs. Close the lid.
Clean the two filters often. Failure to clean the filters regularly
will reduce the cleaner efficiency and may shorten its lifespan.

Clearing a Blockage

missing. Use approved filters and regularly clean and replace
them.
If the cleaner loses suction this may be due to clogged filters or
a blockage.
Set the cleaner upright, switch off and unplug immediately.
Empty the dust, check all the filters and clean them.
Check the extension tubes and accessories visually and
remove any blockage with a stick or broom handle.
DO NOT operate the cleaner if the suction is
impaired.

Warranty
This appliance is intended only for household use. It must be
properly installed and operated in accordance with these
instructions. Failure to do this will invalidate the warranty.
Your appliance is covered by a warranty for 12 months from
the date of purchase. If a fault develops during this period,
please return the unit to your nearest Tesco store together with
the original receipt as proof of purchase. This warranty in no
way affects your consumer rights

When you have finished Vacuuming:

Empty the dust bag and clean the filters
Wipe the cleaner body with a damp
cloth and dry thoroughly. Do NOT
allow water or liquids to penetrate the
vacuum cleaner. This could be
dangerous.
Store the cleaner safely out of the reach
of children and pets.
The cleaner can be stored upright on its
base with the hose and accessories
disconnected and separately stored.
Alternatively, it may be stored in the
normal or upright position with the tube
and floor brush parked on the rear
hook as shown.
Wash both filters under running water. Allow to dry
fully. When they are thoroughly dry, replace the
filters using the illustrations on the previous page as
a guide.
NEVER replace a filter if it is wet.

AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF SWITCH
There is a safety switch inside the cleaner to prevent the unit from being run with too high a vacuum rate. If the airways or filters get
clogged the pressure in the cleaner will be excessive and the safety switch will be turned on. The cleaner then will stop working to
protect the motor from overheating.
If this happens switch off and unplug the cleaner Allow the motor to cool down for twenty minutes and clean the airways
and filters thoroughly. Plug the cleaner in again and switch on: the cleaner should now operate normally.
