AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF THERMOSTAT
There is a safety thermostat inside the cleaner to prevent the unit
from being run with too high a vacuum rate. If the airways or lters
get clogged the pressure in the cleaner will be excessive and the
thermostat will activate. The cleaner then will stop working to
protect the motor from overheating.
If this happens switch o and unplug the cleaner immediately.
Allow the motor to cool down for one hour and clean the airways
and lters thoroughly. Plug the cleaner in again and switch on: the
cleaner should now operate normally.

Emptying the Dust Cup
Empty the dust cup regularly during
vacuuming, and always after vacu-

performance. The maximum dirt
level is reached when the dirt
reaches the top of the lter cage.
You must empty the Dust before it
reaches this level.
Failure to do this will impair the
eciency of the cleaner.
Switch the cleaner o and unplug it.
Press the dust cup release and
then carefully remove the dust
cup from the cleaner.

bin. Press the catch on the
lid which will pop open.
Shake and tap the dust cup

If you wish to continue
vacuuming, replace the cup.
Cleaning the Dust Cup Filter
The HEPA Filter in the Dust Cup stops nearly all dust particles and air-
borne allergens from re-entering the air you breathe. Around the lter
there is a debris screen.
Clean this lter and screen every time you use the cleaner. Failure to do
this will impair performance and may damage the cleaner motor.
Removing and replacing the lid of the dust cup.
Hold the dust cup rmly and rotate the lid towards the“UNLOCK” icon
as shown to open. Remove the lid and keep it safe.
To replace the lid, place it on the dust cup and rotate so that the arrow
on the lid is over the the“LOCK”icon.
When the lid has been removed:
Hold the dust cup lid. Rotate the lter assembly to unlock it. Lift the
lter assembly out.
Now separate the Debris Screen from the lter.

under running water until it is thoroughly clean.

Dust Cup. Remove the Dust Cup and pull the lter out.
1: Remove the Dust Cup and pull the lter out.
2: Brush the inlet cavity well. This will help keep the internal airways
clean and maintain cleaner performance.
The Motor Filter is at the rear of the cleaner.
Remove the lter cover as shown.
Remove the lter.
Brush out the lter carefully on both sides with a soft brush.
RBrush out the cavity behind the cage. This will maintain the perfor-
mance of the cleaner.
Wash the inlet lter under running water until the water runs clear. If
the outlet lter is soiled you may also wash this and the lter cage out.
Allow both lters and the cage to dry and then replace them in the
cleaner. NEVER replace a lter if it is damp.
