1 General information
This document contains important instructions for the safe operation of the product.
Read and follow the safety instructions and all other instructions. Keep the document
for future reference. Make sure that it is available to all those using the product. If you
sell the product to another user, be sure that they also receive this document.
Our products and documentation are subject to a process of continuous develop‐
ment. They are therefore subject to change. Please refer to the latest version of the
documentation, which is ready for download under www.thomann.de.

2 Safety instructions
This device is intended for use as a freely moving multifunctional spotlight. The
device is designed for professional use and is not suitable for use in households. Use
the device only as described in this user manual. Any other use or use under other
operating conditions is considered to be improper and may result in personal injury
or property damage. No liability will be assumed for damages resulting from
improper use.
This device may be used only by persons with sucient physical, sensorial, and intel‐
lectual abilities and having corresponding knowledge and experience. Other persons
may use this device only if they are supervised or instructed by a person who is
responsible for their safety.
Extend the operating life of the device by regular breaks and by avoiding
frequent switching on and o. The device is not suitable for continuous
operation.

DANGER!
Risk of injury and choking hazard for children!
Children can suocate on packaging material and small parts. Children can injure themselves when handling the device. Never
allow children to play with the packaging material and the device. Always store packaging material out of the reach of babies and
small children. Always dispose of packaging material properly when it is not in use. Never allow children to use the device without
supervision. Keep small parts away from children and make sure that the device does not shed any small parts (such knobs) that
children could play with.
DANGER!
Danger to life due to electric current!
Within the device there are areas where high voltages may be present. Never remove any covers. There are no user-serviceable
parts inside. Do not use the device when covers, safety equipment or optical components are missing or damaged.
DANGER!
Risk of death from electrical current!
A short circuit can cause res and loss of life. Always use properly insulated, tripe-core mains cable. Do not modify the mains
cable. If the insulation is damaged, immediately switch o the power supply and have it repaired. If in doubt, contact a qualied
electrician.
WARNING!
Risk of eye damage caused by high light intensity!
The device generates highly intense light radiation. Looking directly into the light source can damage the eyes. Never look
directly into the light source.
WARNING!
Risk of epileptic t due to ashing lights!
The device emits ashing lights (strobe eects). Flashing lights can trigger epileptic ts in specic people. If you are at risk of
epilepsy, avoid spending longer periods of time subjected to ashing lights and looking into strobing light.
WARNING!
Danger of burns on the device surface!
The surface of the device becomes very hot during operation. Skin contact can result in burns. Never touch the device with your
bare hands during operation. After switching o the device, wait for at least 15 minutes before touching it.
WARNING!
Risk of injury caused by falling due to unsuitable trusses and other xtures!
If trusses or other xtures are not designed for the weight of the intended number of moving heads, falling can cause severe
injury and considerable damage. Before mounting, ensure that the load capacity of trusses and other xtures is sucient for the
intended number of devices. Take into account any additional load that aects the load bearing parts due to the movement of
the head. When installing and operating, make sure to follow the standards and regulations that apply in your country. Always
secure devices with a secondary safety attachment, such as a safety cable or a safety chain.

CAUTION!
Risk of injury due to unexpected movements of the device!
The device head may perform fast movements and generate very bright light. This is the case immediately after the device is
switched on, in automatic or remote operation, and when a connected DMX controller is switched o. Persons who are in the
immediate vicinity of the device may be injured or frightened by this. Make sure that there are no obstacles within the movement
range of the mirror, and that no persons are in the immediate vicinity of the head before switching it on and during its operation.
Switch o the device before any work is performed in the movement range or immediate vicinity of the device, or if unauthorised
persons are in that area.
NOTICE!
Risk of re due to covered vents and neighbouring heat sources!
If the vents of the device are covered or the device is operated in the immediate vicinity of other heat sources, the device can
overheat and burst into ames. Never cover the device or the vents. Do not install the device in the immediate vicinity of other
heat sources. Never operate the device in the immediate vicinity of naked ames.
NOTICE!
Operating conditions
This device has been designed for indoor use only. To prevent damage, never expose the device to any liquid or moisture. Avoid
direct sunlight, heavy dirt, and strong vibrations. Only operate the device within the ambient conditions specied in the chapter
‘Technical specications’ of this user manual. Avoid heavy temperature uctuations and do not switch the device on immediately
after it was exposed to temperature uctuations (for example after transport at low outside temperatures). Dust and dirt inside
can damage the unit. When operated in harmful ambient conditions (dust, smoke, nicotine, fog, etc.), the unit should be main‐
tained by qualied service personnel at regular intervals to prevent overheating and other malfunction. The device must not be
moved during use.
NOTICE!
Damage to the device due to high voltages!
The device can be damaged if it is operated with the incorrect voltage or if high voltage peaks occur. In the worst case, excess
voltages can also cause a risk of injury and res. Make sure that the voltage specication on the device matches the local power
grid before plugging in the device. Only operate the device from professionally installed mains sockets that are protected by a
residual current circuit breaker (FI). As a precaution, disconnect the device from the power grid when storms are approaching or it
the device will not be used for a longer period.
NOTICE!
Risk of re by exceeding the maximum current
The device can supply power to other devices of identical design and connected in series. If too many devices are connected, the
power consumption can exceed the maximum permitted power consumption, which can cause the device to overheat and burst
into ames. Only connect devices of identical design to the device. When deciding how many devices you can connect in series,
make sure that the maximum permitted power consumption as stated on the device is not exceeded. Also refer to the specica‐
tions in the technical specications for the device. Only use power cords with a cable cross-section designed for the required
current intensity when connecting the devices in series.
NOTICE!
Risk of re due to installation of a wrong fuse!
Using fuses of a dierent type than compatible with the device may cause a re and seriously damage the device. Only use fuses
of the same type. Observe the labelling on the device casing and the information in the "Technical data” chapter.
NOTICE!
Possible staining due to plasticiser in rubber feet!
The plasticiser contained in the rubber feet of this product may react with the coating of the oor and cause permanent dark
stains after some time. If necessary, use a suitable mat or felt slide to prevent direct contact between the device’s rubber feet and
the oor.
NOTICE!
Risk of overheating and re due to inadequate distance and bad ventilation!
If the distance between the light source and the illuminated surface is too short or the device is badly ventilated, the device can
overheat and cause res. Make sure that illuminated surfaces are more than 2 m away. Do not operate the device in ambient
temperatures above 40 °C. Always ensure sucient ventilation at the operating location.

3 Features
The moving head is particularly suitable for professional lighting tasks, for example at
events, on rock stages, in theatres and musicals or in night clubs.
The device oers maximum exibility and is a cost-reducing and space-saving choice
for large stages, including those at trade fairs and gala events. It meets every require‐
ment of a professional event and creates both narrow beams and wide-area illumina‐
tion. Outstanding eects can be achieved with the help of pixel control and 31 white
eect LEDs.

For technological reasons, the light output of LEDs decreases over their lifetime. This
eect increases with higher operating temperature. You can extend the service life of
the illuminants by providing adequate ventilation and operating the LEDs with the
lowest possible brightness.

4 Installation
Unpack and check carefully there is no transportation damage before using the unit.
Keep the equipment packaging. To fully protect the product against vibration, dust
and moisture during transportation or storage use the original packaging or your
own packaging material suitable for transport or storage, respectively.
Lift the device only at the base. When lifted at the rotatable mounting, the device
may be damaged.
You can install the device standing or hanging. When in use, the device must be
mounted at a solid surface or clamped to an approved truss.
Work from a stable platform whenever you install or move the device or when you
perform any kind of maintenance. Block access under the work area.
WARNING!
Risk of injury caused by falling due to unsuitable trusses and other
xtures!
If trusses or other xtures are not designed for the weight of the
intended number of moving heads, falling can cause severe injury and
considerable damage.
Before mounting, ensure that the load capacity of trusses and other x‐
tures is sucient for the intended number of devices. Take into account
any additional load that aects the load bearing parts due to the move‐
ment of the head.
When installing and operating, make sure to follow the standards and
regulations that apply in your country.
Always secure devices with a secondary safety attachment, such as a
safety cable or a safety chain.

NOTICE!

If the device is operated in conned environments, movements of the
device head can result in collisions, and the device can be damaged.
Ensure that there is sucient space around the device to allow move‐
ments of the device head.
NOTICE!
Data transfer errors due to improper wiring!
If the DMX connections are wired incorrectly, this can cause errors
during the data transfer.
Do not connect the DMX input and output to audio devices, e.g. mixers
or ampliers.
Use special DMX cables for the wiring instead of normal microphone
cables.
Please note that this device must not be connected to a dimmer.
You can install the unit in hanging or standing position. When in use, the device must
always be attached to a solid surface or an approved mount. Use the openings pro‐
vided on the two-piece bracket for attaching.
The installation environment must be able to support 10 times the weight of the
devices to be attached without being deformed.
Always work from a stable platform whenever installing, moving or servicing the
unit. In doing so, the area underneath the device must be cordoned o.
Additionally secure the device with a safety cable that can bear at least 12 times the
weight of the device to be attached.

5 Starting up
Create all connections while the device is o. Use the shortest possible high-quality
cables for all connections. Take care when running the cables to prevent tripping
hazards.
Connect the DMX input of the device to the DMX output of a DMX controller or
another DMX device. Connect the output of the rst DMX device to the input of the
second one, and so on to form a daisy chain. Always ensure that the output of the
last DMX device in the daisy chain is terminated with a resistor (110 Ω, ¼W).

7 Operating
7.1 Starting the device
CAUTION!

before switching it on and during its operation.
Switch o the device before any work is performed in the movement
range or immediate vicinity of the device, or if unauthorised persons are
in that area.
Connect the device to the power supply to start operation. After a few seconds, the
fans start to work, the head moves to the home positions for rotation (pan) and incli‐
nation (tilt). After a few more seconds, the device will perform the last automatic
show. The name of the set show appears on the display, e.g. ‘Show 1’ .
7.2 Main menu
1. To enter the main menu, press [MENU].
2. To scroll between the individual menu items, press [UP] and [DOWN]. To open
the selected menu item, press [ENTER].
3. To exit the menu, press [MENU], or wait 30 seconds.
ðAll previous settings are retained even when the device is switched o and
disconnected from the mains.
4. To restart with default values, use the functions under ‘Special Functions’ in the
main menu.
1. Open the main menu.
2. Navigate to ‘DMX Settings èDMX Address’.
3. Use [UP] and [DOWN] to select an address between 001 and 423/485/492/498.
4. Conrm your selection with [ENTER].
ðThe desired address is saved.
5. To exit the menu, press [MENU], or wait 30 seconds.
Make sure that this number matches the conguration of your DMX controller. The
following table shows the highest possible DMX address for the various DMX modes.

The device can be controlled in 90, 28, 21 or 15-channel mode. To specify the desired
mode, proceed as follows:
1. Open the main menu.
2. Navigate to ‘DMX Settings èDMX Channel Mode’.
3. Use [UP] and [DOWN] to switch between ‘Mode1(90)’ , ‘Mode2(28)’ , ‘Mode3(21)’
and ‘Mode4 (15)’ .
4. Conrm your selection with [ENTER].
ðThe desired mode is saved.
5. To exit the menu, press [MENU], or wait 30 seconds.
1. Open the main menu.
2. Navigate to ‘DMX Settings èNo DMX Status’.
3. Use [UP] and [DOWN] to select one of the following statuses:
n‘Blackout’ (The lamp turns o)
n‘Hold’ (The device continues to operate in the current mode with the last
active DMX values until the signal returns)
n‘Manual’ (The device accepts the DMX value stored in the ‘Manual Test’
menu)
4. Conrm your selection with [ENTER].

This function causes the pan or tilt positions to be automatically adjusted to the cor‐
rect position when they are twisted. To enable or disable this function, proceed as
follows:
1. Open the main menu.
2. Navigate to ‘Fixture Settings èP/T Feedback’.
3. Use [UP] and [DOWN] ‘No’ (Tilt / Pan Feedback deactivated) or ‘Yes’ (Tilt / Pan
Feedback activated).
4. Conrm your selection with [ENTER].
ðThe “Tilt / Pan Feedback” function is activated or deactivated.
5. To exit the menu, press [MENU], or wait 30 seconds.
1. Open the main menu.
2. Navigate to ‘Fixture Settings èDimmer Speed’.
3. Use [UP] and [DOWN] to select ‘Fast’ or ‘Smooth’ .
4. Conrm your selection with [ENTER].
ðThe dimmer speed is specied.
5. To exit the menu, press [MENU], or wait 30 seconds.
1. Open the main menu.
2. Navigate to ‘Fixture Settings èDimmer Curve’.
3. Use [UP] and [DOWN] to select one of the following settings:
n‘Linear’ : The light intensity increases linearly with the DMX value.
n‘Square Law’ : The light intensity is ner in the lower range, and can be
adjusted in the upper range.
n‘Inv SQ Law’ : The light intensity is coarser in the lower range, and can be
adjusted in the upper range.
n‘S Curve’ : The light intensity is ne in the upper and lower range, and can
be adjusted in the mid range.

You can specify the white balance for all LEDs, or make individual settings for each of
the 12 LEDs.
1. Open the main menu.
2. Navigate to ‘Fixture Settings èWhite Balance’.
3. Use [UP] and [DOWN] to select one of the following settings:
n‘Red’ /‘Green’ /‘Blue’ : Overall balance for the respective colour for all LEDs.
n‘Red1’ …‘Red12’ : Individual balance for the colour red for each LED.
n‘Green1’ …‘Green12’ : Individual balance for the colour green for each LED.
n‘Blue1’ …‘Blue12’ : Individual balance for the colour blue for each LED.
4. Conrm your selection with [ENTER].
5. Use [UP] and [DOWN] to select a value between ‘125’ and ‘255’ .
ðThe white balance is specied.
6. To exit the menu, press [MENU], or wait 30 seconds.
1. Open the main menu.
2. Navigate to ‘Fixture Settings èZoom Mode’.
3. Use [UP] and [DOWN] to select ‘Long’ or ‘Short’ .
4. Conrm your selection with [ENTER].
ðThe zoom mode is specied.
5. To exit the menu, press [MENU], or wait 30 seconds.
1. Open the main menu.
2. Navigate to ‘Display Settings èDisplay Invert’.
3. Use [UP] and [DOWN] to select ‘No’ (Display normal) or ‘Yes’ (Display inverted).
ðSelecting ‘Yes’ rotates the display by 180°.

renheit) submenu.

ðThe device immediately performs an automatic self test. The following
functions are tested: Pan, tilt, shutter, dimmer, zoom, all colours and pixel
control.
3. To end the automatic self test and exit the menu, press [MENU], or wait 30 sec‐
onds.
1. Open the main menu.
2. Navigate to ‘Fixture Test èManual Test’.
ðThe current channel is displayed.
3. Use [UP] and [DOWN] to select the channel for which the self test is to be per‐
formed.
4. Conrm your selection with [ENTER].
5. Use [UP] and [DOWN] to select the type of self-test (Pan, Tilt, Strobe, Dimmer,
Zoom, Color or Pixel Control).

values are saved automatically when the device is switched o.

2. Navigate to ‘Fixture Information’.
3. Use [UP] and [DOWN] to select the ‘Fixture Use Hour’ , ‘Temperature’ , ‘Fan
State’ , ‘Firmware Version’ or ‘RDM UID’ submenu.
4. Conrm your selection with [ENTER].
ðDepending on your selection, the operating hours, the device tempera‐
ture, the fan status, the rmware version or the RDM UID is displayed.
5. To exit the menu, press [MENU], or wait 30 seconds.
1. Open the main menu.
