Welcome
Thank you for choosing our inspection DVR camera TTS-S12. Please read this manual carefully
before using the product. This camera is suitable for the examination of hard to reach areas,such
as cargo beds or undersides of vans, trucks or buses.
Please refer to the operating instructions for the safe use of this device!
Intendet use
With this practical device, you can create high-resolution photos or videos, even in dark viewing
conditions.
TTS-S12 is waterproof to IP68 and is equipped with 16 LEDs for night vision.
•Changes or modifications, not expressly permitted, may void the approval of the
device.
•Any interference inside the device or repairs will result in voiding the warranty or
guarantee. In the event of failure, please pick up all parts and reclaim the device directly
where you have bought it and do not forget to attach a written description of the fault.

Instructions for safe use
Forbidden
•Changes or modifications, not expressly permitted, may void the
approval of the device.
•Any interference inside the device and not intended purpose will void
the guarantee or warranty.
•Don’t open the main unit, this might damage it.
•Do not try to change the battery or threw it into fire, it will explode.
WARNING
•Please do not expose the device to high solar irradiation, high temperatures, wet
environment or violently vibrations
.
0~40℃is the best working temperature for
DVR.
•You should not use the device in rainy conditions. There is a risk of electrical
shock.
•Operation in inflammable gas or near oil tanks is prohibited in order to protect
from fire.
•Don’t operate in dusty and particle filled areas, it may cause damage or
malfunction.
•Please switch off the electrical power if operation is finished or during
maintenance or storage.
•
Please do not touch camera lens during application, it could be very hot.
ATTENTION
•Please keep away from electric zone where electric frequency could affect the
application of the device.
•Don’t use the device in an aircraft and medical field.
•Please store in dry areas and keep away from children hands.
•In case of damage or defected parts during the warranty period, please contact
the shop where you have bought it. Don’t forget to enclose your written
description of the damage or faulty operation.
•Please do not press hardly to TFT-LCD monitor, it could cause malfunction or
damage.
•Please do not look straight into the lens that could hurt your eyes seriously.
•Do not remove the SD memory card while data are being saved to the card,
during photographing or videoing, because this may cause the data to be lost or
the card to be damaged.
•Intrusion of water drops or sand in bad working environment may damage the
main unit.

Use cotton buds, soaked in alcohol to clean the lens.
•Don’t use chemical liquids to clean the surface of the product.
•When inserting SD card, please make sure the inserting direction is correct.
Otherwise the card slot will be damaged.
•We suggest you to copy the data files of main unit to protect it against loss.

Buttons and ports
Available icons on LCD monitor
Selector switch for working mode
At the left side of the unit, directly beside the
HDMI port there is a selector switch for 3
different operating modes:
video recorder mode
photo mode
playback mode

Working with or without sun shield
There are 4 locking pins on the underside of the sun shield. lease insert it into the holes on upper
side of the main unit and gently press it until the pins snap into place. To remove the sun shield pull it
gently upwards (from the monitor frame away).
To open the sun shield, you have to press the button in its centre and gently pull the sun shield
upwards.
Charging built-in battery
1. Before you start any operation please watch the battery level indicator:
If the system does not start after switching on, the battery may be empty. Please charge the
battery by AC adapter or PC before operation.
2. Before your first use, please charge the new device for more than 6 but less than 10 hours. A
new battery will reach its best performance after a few times fully charging and discharging.
3. After the first charging and several operations, a full charge will take 4-6 hours. Please unplug
the charger if the battery level indicator shows full level.
4. This charger is designed for this unit only and should not be used for other applications.
5. Don’t store the charger in humid environment.
6. After charging, please unplug the charger.

7. Do not repair, break down or remake the charger.
8. If you don’t use the main unit for longer time, we recommend charging the battery every 2-3
months. After charging, please switch off the device again.
Basic operation
Button/Meaning Way to use What happens ?

Press button briefly (for 1-2 sec.) to power on. The device is ready for
operation.

Press for approx. 3 sec. to power off. The device is turned off.
LED on/off After switching on the device press the button
briefly again to turn on the LED light. LED light is on.
LED on/off Briefly press the button again. LED light is off.

Insert
Insert a micro SD card as external storage
element up to 64 GB (4 GB included).
You can take photos or

At the bottom of the screen,
beside the battery level
indicator the icon for SD card
appears and shows the
remaining storage capacity.
Working as external drive
If you connect the main unit of DVR camera to a computer and power it on, it will work as an external
drive. Open the removable disk in the computer and you’ll find the videos and photos in “RECORD”
and “PHOTO” files under “DICM” directory.

Buttons and their functions
All buttons/control keys of the main unit have different functions, depending on the mode you are
using. For detailed information please refer to the table below:

System settings
1. Power on the device.
2. Set the selector switch to photo or
video mode. System setting is not
possible in playback mode !
3. Press “Menu” button to enter into
the system setting menu.
4. Press arrow keys to navigate up
and down in the menu.
Language
1. Select “Language” by pressing
“camera” button.
2. Use arrow keys to go up and
down and choose your language.
between English, Deutsch and
Chinese.
3. After that press “camera” button to
confirm your choice.
4. To exit please press “ESC” button
as long as you are back again in
start menu for system setting.

Date/Time
1. Select “Date/Time” by pressing
“camera” button.
2. Press “camera” button again to
move the cursor from Y/M/D to H:M
3. Use direction arrows to adjust
Y/M/D and H : M, each by moving
up or down.
4. You have to confirm each setting by
pressing the “camera” button.
5. Use “ESC“ button to leave the
Date/Time menu.
Video Size
1. Select “Video Size” by pressing the
“camera” button.
2. Move the arrow keys up or down to
make your selection.
3. Confirm your choice by pressing
“camera” button.
4. To leave this selection menu please
press „ESC” button.
Photo Size
1. Select “Photo Size” by pressing the
“camera” button.
2. If you press the arrow keys you can
choose between 2M, 3M and 5M.
3. Use the “camera” button to confirm
your selection.
4. To leave this selection menu please
press „ESC“ button.

Video Segment Sizes
1. Press “camera” button to choose
“Video Segment Sizes”.
2. With the arrow keys you can select
between 10 or 30 minutes.
3. Please confirm with “camera” button
4. To exit you have to press “ESC”
button as long as you are back
again in start menu for system
setting.
Overwrite
1. With the arrow keys you can select
“Overwrite”.
2. Videos are recorded as Loop
recording. The system will
automatically store the videos in
segments and when the micro SD
card is full, the first segment will be
overwritten and the latest will be
saved.
3. Confirm with the “camera” button.
4. It appears another selection menu.
Please choose “On” or “Off” with the
arrow keys.
5. Now you have to confirm again with
the “camera” button.
6. To leave the Overwrite menu please
press „ESC“ button.
Light Frequency
1. Press “camera” button to choose
“Light Frequence”.
2. Use the arrow keys to select
between 50 or 60 Hz.
3. And confirm with the “camera”
button.
4. Press „ESC“ button to exit.

Time Stamp
1. Use the arrow keys to choose “Time
Stamp”.
2. Enter into the selection menu by
using the “camera” button.
3. Select “On” or “Off” by using the
arrow keys.
4. If you choose “On”, all your photos
and videos will be stored
chronological.
5. Confirm with “camera” button.
6. Press „ESC“ button to exit.
Format
1. If you want to delete all photos and
videos you can do that with the
“Format” function.
2. Use the arrow keys to choose
“Format”.
3. Confirm with the “camera” button.
4. It appears a confirmation menu.
Please choose “Yes” or “No” by
using the arrow keys. If you select
“Yes”, all photos and videos will be
deleted and you have free space on
your SD card again. If you select
“No”, nothing will happen and all
photos and videos will remain on
memory card.
5. At last you have to confirm “Yes” or
“No” with “camera” button.
6. Press „ESC“ button to exit.
Auto Power Off
1. Move with the arrow keys until you
reach “Auto Power Off” in the
system setting menu.
2. Select “Auto Power Off” by pressing
the “camera” button.
3. Now several time limits (from 1 to 5
minutes) and “Off” are displayed.
If you choose one of the time limits,
the system will automatically shut
down after that time. If you choose

“Off” the system will remain
switched on all the time until the
battery is empty or until you switch it
off yourself. Use the arrow keys to
select.
4. Confirm with “camera” button.
5. Leave the menu by pressing „ESC”
button.
TV Out
Instead of displaying your live videos on
DVR system monitor, you can also
display it on TV screen. Therefore you
have to use the AV cable. Connect the
black plug of the AV cable to the “AV
Out” jack of your system. After that
connect the 3 coloured plugs of the AV
cable to the audio/video input ports of
your TV. For that connection you can
also use the HDMI cable, if your TV is
equipped with a HDMI port.
After that you have to do the settings for
“TV Out”.
1. If you reach “TV Out” in system
setting menu, press “camera” button
to select.
2. Now you can choose between
“NTSC” or “PAL”. Within Europe the
standard format is PAL.
3. You have to confirm again with
“camera” button.
4. When you unplug the AV cable, your
live videos are shown on system
monitor again.
5. Use
„ESC“ button
to leave “TV Out”
menu.
Firmware Update
1. Use the arrow keys to navigate to
“Firmware Update”.
2. Confirm with “camera” button.
3. You will enter into a new
confirmation menu. Choose “Yes” or
“No” by using the arrow keys.
4. If you choose “Yes” and confirm with
“camera” button, the update will
start.

5. Please do not forget to save the
update file “zburnT_C11.run.elf” at
the root directory of the SD card.
6. To exit press “ESC” as long as you
are back again in start menu for
system setting.
Memory Information
1. With the arrow keys you select
“Memory Info”.
2. Press “camera” button to view the
capacity the SD card.
3. “All” means total storage capacity,
“’Free” means the free space of the
SD card.
4. Press „ESC“ button to exit.
Version
1. After selecting “Version” please
confirm with “camera” button.
2. In this menu point you can’t select
anything.
3. Only the installed software version
is shown on display.
4. To leave this menu point you have
to press „ESC”

Default Setting
1. If you want to delete all your
settings you can do this under the
menu point “Default Setting”.
2. Use the arrow keys to select
“Default Setting”.
3. Use the “camera” button to confirm.
4. After that you enter in a
confirmation menu.
5. With the arrow keys you can choose
“Yes” or “No”.
6. Confirm by using the “camera”
button.
7. Exit “ESC”.
Recording videos and taking photos
a) recording videos
1. Power on the device.
2. Select working mode for video
recording.
3. Press “camera” button.
4. On the screen appears a red point
and video recording starts.
5. Press “camera” button again to
finish and store your video.
6. Press “camera” button to continue
recording.
7. The system will automatically store
your videos in ascending date
order. Under each date videos are
sorted in different segments until
the storage card is full.
8.
If you have chosen “”Overwrite” in
the system settings, please don’t
press “camera” button to finish
recording. Videos are recorded as
Loop recording. The system will
automatically store the videos in
segments and when the micro SD
card is full, the first segment will be
overwritten and the latest will be
saved.
9. If you press „ESC“ button in “video
mode” the system will be muted.
And if you press this button again
the sound is activated again.

b) taking photos
1. Power on the device.
2. Select working mode for photos.
3. Press “camera” button.
4. The screen flashes one time and a
picture is taken.
Viewing photos and videos
a) viewing videos
1. Power on the device.
2. Select working mode for playback.
3. The display shows the selection of
photos or videos.
4. Press the arrow keys right or left to
select video or photo and confirm
your choice by pressing “camera”
button.
5. If you select video (right side) you
will enter into a folder with all
existing videos.
6. With the arrow keys you can scroll
up and down to select one video or
move through all the pages of the
video folder.
7. Press the “camera” button once to
choose the date and a second time
to choose one video under that date
and to play it.
8. During playback of videos you can
adjust the volume (louder or quieter)
by pressing the arrow keys.
9. If you hold the arrow key “forward”
while pressing you will go fast
forward. If you hold the other one
you will fast rewind.
10. Press the “camera” button to stop
the video playback.
11. Press it again to continue playback.
12. To exit the playback menu press
“ESC” button as long as you are
back again in start menu for
playback.

b) viewing photos
1. Power on the device.
2. Select working mode for playback.
3. The display shows the selection of
photos or videos.
4. Press the arrow keys right or left to
select video or photo and confirm
your choice by pressing “camera”
button.
5. If you select photo (left side) you will
enter into a folder with all existing
photos.
6. With the arrow keys you can scroll
up and down to select one photo or
move through all the pages of the
photo folder.
7. Press the “camera” button once to
choose the date and a second time
to choose one photo under that date
and to display it.
8. If you press the arrow key “forward”
the next photo will be displayed.
The “backwards” arrow key displays
the previous photo.
9. To exit the playback menu use this
key as long as you are back again
in start menu for playback.
Delete photos or videos in playback mode
1. If you want to delete videos or photos
you have to select working mode for
playback.
2. The video or photo folder is
displayed.
3. Press “Menu” button to enter into
delete menu.
4. Press the arrow keys to select
between “All”, “Current” or “Cancel”.
5. Press “camera” button to confirm your
selection.
6. A confirmation prompt appears before
deleting.
7. Confirm with “Yes” or “No” by using
the arrow keys for navigate up and
down.

8. Confirm your selection a second time
by using the “camera” button.
9. To exit the delete menu use this key
as long as you are back in start menu
for playback.
Trouble Shooting
P
roblem
P
roblem solving
1. The system (main unit) cannot be switched
on.
The battery may be discharged. You have to
charge it. Connect the plug of supplied AC
adapter to the connector “DC In 12V” and plug
the adapter into an electric outlet.
2. The complete system hangs. Use the “RESET” hole at the bottom of the side
with the ports “CAMERA-IN” and “AUDIO-IN” to
reset the system. Stick in a thin object (e.g. the
end of a paper clip) to start the reset and to
restart the system.
3. Videos and photos cannot be displayed. Maybe the format of video or photo file is not
supported by this DVR. Please convert into a
supported format (e.g. AVI or JPG).
4. The text in the system settings is unreadable
for you. Make sure that you selected the right language in
the settings.
5. Up- or downloading of files is not possible or
you can’t find your files on PC. Maybe USB cable is not connected properly or
defective. Please connect properly or replace.
6. You cannot save photos or videos. Make sure that SD card is properly inserted.
Maybe there is no more storage space on SD
card – in that case, delete some files to increase
memory space.
Maybe there is a damaged area in memory, in
that case, please format it to solve the problem.
In that case all photo and video files are deleted.
