GENERAL DESCRIPTION
By using the TD-600 telephone interfa e in onjun tion with TOA' s inter om ex hange,
a pushphone (*DTMF) an be used as a handset inter om station. Two pushphones an
be onne ted per interfa e.

EXCHANGE DIP SWITCH SETTING
AND PROGRAMMING
All the lines or ex hanges to onne t the TD-600 should be set to the ontinuous all tone.
1. When using EX-200 ex hange
Perform the handset station registration with the station No. 24.

2. When using EX-600 ex hange
Set the DIP swti h (SW-B-1) of CP-60 to ON to sele t the ontinuous all tone.
3. When using EX-610/620/630 ex hange
Set the DIP swti h (SW-E-8) of CP-66 to ON to sele t the ontinuous all tone.

Note:
SIGNAL MODE ADJUSTMENT AND SETTING
Perform the signal mode setting before the final installation or wiring work be ause the
setting requires the removal of the top over.
Remove side plate s rews (four pla es).
Deta h the top over.
1. RECEIVING SOUND VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
The re eiving sound volume an be adjusted in 8dB steps by swit hing SW3 setting
as shown in the figure below.
Position of SW3 is fa tory-preset to "1".

2. ADJUSTMENT OF CURRENT SUPPLIED TO TELEPHONE
The distan e between the TD-600 and telephone an be made greater by making swit h
positions of both SW1 and SW2 identi al to adjust the urrent to be supplied to the
telephone. See the table below.
The line loop resistan e is fa tory-preset to 0~1500

JUMPER WIRE CONNECTION (When using the EX-200 ex hange)
Referring to Table 1, hange settings of jumper wires JP1-JP3.
All jumpers are fa tory-preset to the EXES-6000' s settings.

4. POLARITY REVERSE SIGNAL CONTROL
When onne ting the telephone line terminal to equipment that must not re eive the polarity
reverse signal, install the jumper wire in pla e marked with JP4 in the figure.
Jumper JP4 is not fa tory-preset be ause the polarity reverse signal is set to transmit
from the CH1 or CH2 telephone line terminal.

CALL OPERATIONS
(1 )Lift up the handset and onfirm that a dial tone is audible. Dial the desired station number
within 10 se onds.
(2)Repla e the handset when terminating the onversation.
(3)The inter om station's dial key
orresponds to dial key
of the pushphone.

• Dialing must be ompleted within 10 se onds after lifting up the handset. If in omplete,
no dial signal an be transmitted to the ex hange even when the dial keys are pressed.
Thus, the pushphone annot be used for fun tions su h as all transfer, spee h message,
busy all ba k et . to dial during the onversation.
• When transmitting the DTMF signal during the onversation in onun tion with the TI-20
or TI-600 tie-line unit et ., do not press any button of pushphone. This will lead to
malfu tion of the ex hange.
