2.Connectachargertothebattery(Figure1)and
chargeitforaminimumof1hourat6to10amps.
Donotoverchargethebattery.

andamesawayfrombattery.
3.Whenthebatteryisfullycharged,unplugthecharger
fromtheelectricaloutlet,thendisconnectthe
chargerleadsfromthebatteryposts(Figure1).
4.Closetherearaccesscover.
CheckingFluidLevels
Beforestartingtheengineforthersttime,check
theengineoilandhydraulicuidlevels.Refertothe
Operator’sManualformoreinformation.
SettingtheEngineRPM(CE
Only)
Ifyouaresettingupthismachineforuseinthe
EuropeanCommunity,youneedtopermanentlyadjust
theenginespeedsothatitdoesnotrunabove3300
RPM,asfollows:
1.Starttheengineandrunitathalfthrottlefor5to
10minutestowarmitup.
Important:Theenginemustbewarmbefore
makingthisadjustment.
2.MovethethrottlelevertotheFastposition.
3.Checktheenginespeedonthetachometer.
Itshouldbearound3600RPM.
4.Loosenthejamnutsecuringthehighidleadjusting
screwontheengine(locatedonthethrottle/choke
controllinkage—Figure2).

6.Securethescrewwiththejamnut,checkingthe
engineRPMagainasyoudoso.
7.Slidethesmallaluminumtubeoverthehighidle
adjustingscrewandjamnut.
8.Crimpthetubedowntothescrewshaftwithapliers
betweenthescrewheadandthejamnutsothatthe
jamnutcannotbeloosenedinthefuture.
Important:Thetubemustbefullyoverthejam
nuttopreventaccesstoit.
ConvertingtheHoodLatch
(CEOnly)
Ifyouaresettingupthismachineforuseinthe
EuropeanCommunity,youneedtochangethehood
latchtoaslottedlatch,asfollows:
1.Stoptheengine,lowertheloaderarms,andremove
thekey.
2.Openthehood.
3.Removetheboltandwashersecuringthehoodlatch
handle.
