MaintenanceandStorage
•Keepallnuts,bolts,andscrewstighttobesurethatthe
equipmentisinsafeworkingcondition.
•Neverstorethemachinewithfuelinthetankinsidea
buildingwherefumesmayreachanopenameoraspark.
•Allowtheenginetocoolbeforestoringthemachinein
anyenclosure.
•Toreducetherehazard,keeptheengine,mufer,
batteryarea,andfuel-storageareafreeofgrass,leaves,
andexcessivegrease.
•Keepallpartsingoodworkingconditionandallhardware
andhydraulicttingstightened.Replaceallwornor
damagedpartsanddecals.
•Ifthefueltankhastobedrained,dothisoutdoors.
•Becarefulduringadjustmentofthemachine,toprevent
entrapmentofthengersbetweenmovingpartsand
xedpartsofthemachine.
•Disengagedrives,lowertheattachment,settheparking
brake,stoptheengine,andremovethekey.Waitforall
movementtostopbeforeadjusting,cleaning,orrepairing
themachine.
•Usejackstandstosupportcomponentswhenrequired.
•Carefullyreleasepressurefromcomponentswithstored
energy.
•Disconnectthebatteryandremovethespark-plugwires
beforemakinganyrepairs.Disconnectthenegative
batteryterminalrstandthepositiveterminallast.
Connectthepositiveterminalrstandthenegative

leaks.Hydraulicuidescapingunderpressurecanhave
sufcientforcetopenetratetheskinandcauseserious
injury.Seekimmediatemedicalattentionifanyuidis
injectedintotheskin.
•Beforedisconnectingorperforminganyworkonthe
hydraulicsystem,relieveallpressureinthesystemby
stoppingtheengineandloweringtheattachmenttothe
ground.
•Checkallfuellinesfortightnessandwearonaregular
basis.Tightenorrepairthemasneeded.
