transport,andmountthecrossconveyor/swivelonto
theMH-400.
WARNING
Theoptioncaddyhasamaximumcarrying
loadof1500lb(680kg).Donotcarrypeople
onit.

1.Liftthecrossconveyor/swivelontotheoption
caddy.
2.TransporttheoptiontotherearoftheMH-400
andraiseitintopositionformounting.
CAUTION
Donotleaveloadsunattendedorinthe
raisedposition.
3.Installtheoptionintothequick-attachbrackets
ontherearoftheMH-400(SeetheInstallingthe
CrossConveyor/Swivel).
4.Lowerthecaddyandrolltheitbackuntilitis
completelyfreefromtheoption.
Note:Donotmaneuverthecaddyinmuddyor
softterrain,otherwiseitwillbedifculttomove.

InstallingtheCross
Conveyor/Swivel
NoPartsRequired
Procedure
Thecrossconveyorspreadsmaterialtoeitherside
oftheMH-400whiletheswivelkitallowsthecross
conveyortoswivelfreelyina270degreearc,orto
belockedintooneofvexedpositions,45degrees
apart.
Note:TheMH-400comesequippedwithapairof
quickattachmountingclamps.Usetheseclampsto
mountthecrossconveyor/swiveltotheMH-400.
1.Positionthecrossconveyor/swivelsotheswivel
kitstwomountingbracketsfacetowardtherear
(awayfromtheMH-400).
2.Ensurethatthecrossconveyor/swivelis
centeredbetweenthemountingbracketsand
thatthemotorextendsoutthesamesideasthe
controlhandlesontheMH-400.
3.Removethesafetylatchclipsfromtheclamp
handles(Figure3).
4.Liftthesafetylatch,thenlifttheoption
attachmentclamphandles,andreleasethelock
ringsfromthelockpins(Figure3).
5.Slidetherearoptionattachmentclampassembly
outofthequick-attachslots(Figure3).
6.Withassistance,insertthefrontedgeofthe
crossconveyor/swivelupandundertherearof
theMH-400intothefrontclampsonthebrackets
(Figure3).
7.Whilesupportingthecrossconveyor/swivel,
slidetherearoptionattachmentclampassembly
backintotheslotsinthebrackets,andoverthe
rearedge(Figure3).
8.Ensurethatthecrossconveyor/swivelis
centeredbetweenthebrackets.Thenre-install
thelockringsoverthelockpinsandpushdown
ontheclamphandles
Note:Iftheclampassemblyistoolooseand
thecrossconveyor/swivelslideswithinthe
clamps,turnthelockringsintotheclampsafew
turnsuntilthecrossconveyor/swivelissecure.
Important:Donotover-tightentheclamps.
Thismaybendtheedgesofthecross
conveyor/swivel.
9.Reinstallthesafetylatchclipstotheclamp
handles(Figure3).
CAUTION
Ensurethatyoureinstallthesafetylatch
clipsintotheclamps.Otherwise,the
clampsmayopenduringoperation.
WARNING
Theoptionsareheavy.Useanassistant
tohelpliftthecrossconveyor/swivel.

WARNING
Ensurethatthetowvehicleisturnedoff
beforemakingthehydraulicconnections,
topreventthecrossconveyor/swivelfrom
accidentallyturningon.
Connectthehydraulichosestotheoptioncontrol
valveontheMH-400asfollows(Figure4):
•Pullback(orpushforward)ontheoutersleeve
ofthefemaleconnectorandinsertthemale
connector.
•Holdthemaleconnectorrmlyinplaceand
releasetheoutersleeveofthefemaleconnector.
•Ensurethattheconnectorsarepushedalltheway
inandaresecurelylockedinplace.Ensurethat
thehydraulichosesrunhorizontally
•Withthetowvehiclehydraulicsoperating,pull
backontheoptioncontrolleverontheSHmodels
orstarttheoptionusingtheoptionstartbutton
onthewirelesscontrollerontheEHmodels,and
ensurethatthecrossconveyor/swivelisoperating
properly.
WARNING
•Makesureallhydrauliclineconnectorsare
tight,andallhydraulichosesandlinesare
ingoodconditionbeforeapplyingpressure
tothesystem.
•Keepbodyandhandsawayfrompin
holeleaksinhydrauliclinesthateject
highpressurehydraulicuid.Use
cardboardorpapertondhydraulicleaks.
Hydraulicuidescapingunderpressure
canpenetrateskinandcauseinjury.Fluid
accidentallyinjectedintotheskinmustbe
surgicallyremovedwithinafewhoursby
adoctorfamiliarwiththisformofinjuryor
gangrenemayresult.

OperatingtheCross
Conveyor
ExtendingandRetractingthe
CrossConveyor
CAUTION
Alwaysreturnthecrossconveyortothe
centerpositionwhentraveling,otherwisethe
crossconveyorcanhitpeopleorobjects,and
canalsobedamaged.
1.Removethesafetypinsfrombothoption
attachmentclampsontheswivelkit.
2.Loosentheoptionattachmentclampbrackets
3.Slidetheconveyortothecenterorside.
4.Re-tightentheclampbrackets.
5.Re-installthesafetypins.
6.OnSHmodelsadjustthespeedofthecross
conveyorwiththehydraulicleverontheright.
OnEHmodelsadjustthespeedofthecross
conveyerwiththewirelessremote.
Note:Alwayslowerthehopperbeforeadjusting
thecrossconveyor.Otherwise,thecross
conveyorwillrestatanangle.

tostopmaterialmovementorturnofftheon/off
pendantswitch.
Note:ForSHmodelstheon/offpendantswitch
stopstheoorconveyorbelt,notthecross
conveyor.
6.OnEHmodels,operatetheoptionandthe
conveyerbeltwiththewirelessremote.
7.Whennishingusingthecrossconveyor,always
returnittothecenterposition.

OperatingtheSwivelKit
Todirecttheowofmaterialfromthecrossconveyor
inanydirection,pullupthespring-loadedlockingpin
ontheswivelkitintotheunlockoropenposition.This
allowsyoutomanuallymovethecrossconveyorfreely
fromsidetosideontheswivelbearing(Figure5).
Tokeepthecrossconveyorinaxedposition,release
thespring-loadedlockingpinintooneoftheve
lockingpositionsontheswivelkit.
Note:Whentravelingoveruneventerrain,raise
themachinetothemaximumsafetravelingrange.
Thisprovidesmoregroundclearanceforthecross
conveyor/swivel.
