theheavyendofthemachineuphill.Weight
distributionchangeswithattachments.This
attachmentmakesthefrontofmachinetheheavy

•Raisingorextending(ifapplicable)theloaderarms
onaslopeaffectsthestabilityofthemachine.
Keeptheloaderarmsintheloweredandretracted
positionwhenonslopes..
•Slopesareamajorfactorrelatedtolossofcontrol
andtip-overaccidents,whichcanresultinsevere

Important:Beforeinstallingtheattachment,
positionthemachineonalevelsurface,ensure
thatthemountplatesarefreeofanydirtordebris,
andensurethatthepinsrotatefreely.Ifthepins
donotrotatefreely,greasethem.
Note:Alwaysusethetractionunittoliftandmove
theattachment.
WARNING
Ifyoudonotfullyseatthequick-attach
pinsthroughtheattachmentmountplate,
theattachmentcouldfalloffthemachine,
crushingyouorbystanders.
Ensurethatthequick-attachpinsarefully
seatedintheattachmentmountplate.

Hydraulicuidescapingunderpressurecan
penetrateskinandcauseinjury.Fluidinjected

StartingthePowerRake
1.Startthetractionunit.
2.Lowerthepowerraketotheground.
Important:Donotlowerthepowerraketo
thegroundwiththerollerturning;otherwise,
highspeedjoltscandamagethemotor.
3.Engagetheauxiliaryhydraulicsintheopposite
directionofmachinetravel.
RollerRotationTravelDirection
4.Increasetheenginespeedtofullthrottle.If
operatingthemachineinheavyrock,reducethe
enginespeedslightly.
5.Operatethemachineatagroundspeed
between4.8and8.0kph(3and5mph)in
normalconditions;ifoperatinginheavyrock,
reducethegroundspeedto1.6to4.8kph(1
to3mph).
Important:Beforechangingtheroller
direction,stopthemachine,disengagethe
auxiliaryhydraulics,andwaitfortheroller
tostop.
6.Afterraking,stopthetractionunitanddecrease
theenginespeedtohalfthrottle.
7.Raisetherakeanddisengagetheauxiliary
hydraulics.
8.Lowertheraketotheground.
UsingtheEndPlates
Theendplatescontainthematerialinfrontofthe
roller,whilethecleanmaterialpassesbetweenthe
rollerandthebarrier.Withtheendplatesmounted
intheworking(down)positionandtherakestraight
(parallelwiththetractionunittrack),thematerialcan
bemoved,llinginlowareas.

•Donotrakeunderwetconditions;soilstucktothe
rollerandteethdecreasesperformance.
•Youmayneedtomakemultiplepasseswhen
workinginsodorcompactedsoil.
•Mowandremovetallgrassandweedsbefore
rakingminimizesgrassandweedswrapping
aroundtheroller.
•Ifarockorotherobstructiongetsintotheteeth,
disengagetheauxiliaryhydraulicsanddrive
thetractionunitforwarduntiltheobstructionis
dislodged.
•Therollershouldbelevelwiththeground.The
powerrakeshouldalsobelevelwiththeground
fromfronttoback.T oaccomplishthis,raiseor
lowerthecasterwheelsandtilttheattachment
plateasneeded.
•Youcanachievefurtherdepthcontrolbytiltingthe
rakeforwardonitscasterwheelstoraisetheroller,
ortilttherakebacktoraisethecasterwheels,and
allowtherollertopenetratemoredeeply.
