2.Installthecableheatshieldbelowthecable
bracketusingtheboltremovedinstep1(Figure
1).
Ensurethatyouinstallthecableheatshield
betweenthemuferandcablebracket.
3.Installthebolt(1/4x3/4inch)inthetopofthe
cablebracketandintothecableheatshield
(Figure1).
4.Securethebolt(1/4x3/4inch)usingthelocknut
(1/4inch)asshowninFigure1.

fuelvaporsevenaftershuttingofftheengine.
Hotparticlesexhaustedduringengine
operationmayigniteammablematerials.
Firemayresultinpersonalinjuryorproperty
damage.
Donotrefuelorruntheengineunlessthe
sparkarresterisinstalled.
1.Installthescrewholeendofthesparkarrester
ontheexhaustoutletasfaraspossiblebyhand.
Important:Donotuseahammer;otherwise,
youwilldamagethesparkarrester.
2.Securethesparkarrestertothemuferusing
the2self-threadingscrews(#8x1/2inch)as
showninFigure3.

ServiceInterval:Every50hours—Inspectthespark
arresterfordamageorbuild-upon
thescreen.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Movethemotion-controlleverstothe
NEUTRAL-LOCKposition.
3.Engagetheparkingbrake.
4.Shutofftheengineandremovethekey.
5.Waitforthemufertocoolcompletely.
6.Ifyouobserveanybreaksinthescreenor
welds,replacethesparkarrester.
7.Ifthescreenisplugged,removethespark
arresterandremovethelooseparticlesfromthe
sparkarresterandcleanthescreenusingawire
brush(soakinsolvent,ifnecessary).
Installthesparkarrestertotheexhaustoutlet.
