Installation
Note:
1. The following installation instructions refer to an installation
in which two media converters are used.
2. The installation diagram on the next page features a
N784-001-SC-MM. Connections are the same for all
models, with only the specs of the media converter being
different. (See the Specifications section in this manual for
details on your media converter.)
3. To avoid damage due to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), it
is recommended you handle the product while wearing
an ESD wrist grounding strap or by touching a conductive
surface (such as metal) to discharge any potential ESD prior
to handling the product.

Installation
1Connect the RJ45 port on the media converter to your
network using a Cat5e/6 cable.
2Connect the media converter to a second identical media
converter using the appropriate type of fiber cable, making
sure to connect the TX port on one unit to the
RX port on the other.
Note: Reference the Product Features section to
determine which type of fiber cable is supported by your
media converter.
3Connect the RJ45 port on the second media converter to
your network device (workstation, hub, switch, etc.) using
a Cat5e/6 cable.
4Connect the external power supplies that came with each
media converter, and plug them into a power source.

2-Year Limited Warranty
Seller warrants this product, if used in accordance with all
applicable instructions, to be free from original defects in
material and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from
the date of initial purchase. If the product should prove
defective in material or workmanship within that period, Seller
will repair or replace the product, in its sole discretion. Service
under this Warranty can only be obtained by your delivering
or shipping the product (with all shipping or delivery charges

Nota:

2. El diagrama de instalación en la siguiente página presenta un
N784-001-SC-MM. Las conexiones son las mismas

3. Para evitar daños por descargas electrostáticas [ESD], se

Instalación
1Conecte el puerto RJ45 del convertidor de medios a su
red usando un cable Cat5e o Cat6.
2Conecte el convertidor de medios a un segundo
convertidor de medios idéntico usando el tipo apropiado
de cable de fibra, asegúrese de conectar el puerto de TX
en una unidad al puerto de RX de la otra.
Nota: Consulte la sección Características del producto
para determinar qué tipo de cable de fibra es compatible
con el convertidor de medios.
3Conecte el puerto RJ45 del convertidor de medios a su
dispositivo de red (Estación de trabajo, hub, switch, etc.)
usando un cable Cat5e o Cat6.
