Introduction
The Universal Serial Bus (USB) hub, is a USB cable concentrator
and a bridge between PC USB Host Controller and up to 4 USB
devices. It is a full speed USB hub, and supports both full speed
(12Mbps) and low speed (1.5Mbps) devices. This HUB can
function in either a Self-powered and Bus-powered modes and
has per-port overcurrent protection.

LED Definition
1. SELF-POWERED LED (Orange) - indicates the hub is
powered by the adapter
2. Port 1 - 4 LEDs (Green) - A lit LED indicates that the port is
ready for use or in operation. If an overcurrent condition
occurs, the port will immediately shut down and the LED will
turn off. The port will reset when the hub is disconnected and
reconnected.

Installation
1. Plug the power adapter into the jack on the side panel of the
HUB (optional)
2. Plug the B type connector into the upstream port (Root port)
of the HUB
3. Plug the A type connector into the Host
4. Connect all USB Devices to the HUB Host Power Mode
Setting.
There are two power modes: Self-Powered mode and
Bus-powered mode. For Self-Powered mode the HUB provides
all the downstream ports with DC + 5V, 500mA (max) power
supply per port. For the Bus-powered mode, the Hub only
provides the four downstream ports (Port1 to Port4) with DC +
5V, 500mA in total.
Note: When cascading many Hubs, the upstream Hubs must
always be set into the Self-powered mode, only the last hub can
be set into Bus-powered mode.

Overcurrent
An unlit port LED indicates a problem has been detected and the
port has been deactivated. Disconnect the device connected to the
Port. The Port will unlock only when the HUB is shut down and
restarted. Try reconnecting the device. If the port LED turns off
again, have the device checked.

TRIPP LITE warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for life. TRIPP
LITE’s obligation under this warranty is limited to repairing or replacing (at its sole option) any such
defective products. To obtain service under this warranty, you must obtain a Returned Material
Authorization (RMA) number from TRIPP LITE or an authorized TRIPP LITE service center. Products
must be returned to TRIPP LITE or an authorized TRIPP LITE service center with transportation charges
prepaid and must be accompanied by a brief description of the problem encountered and proof of date and
place of purchase. This warranty does not apply to equipment, which has been damaged by accident,
negligence or misapplication or has been altered or modified in any way.
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, TRIPP LITE MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR
IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A

Introduction
Le concentrateur USB (Universal Serial Bus) est un concentrateur à
câble USB qui sert de pont entre le contrôleur hôte USB du PC et 4
périphériques USB maximum. Il s’agit d’un concentrateur USB grande
vitesse, qui supporte àla fois des périphériques grande vitesse (12
Mb/s) et basse vitesse (1,5 Mb/s), tels que clavier, souris, manche à
balai, etc. Ce concentrateur peut fonctionner en mode auto-alimentéou
alimentépar bus et est dotéd’un limiteur de surintensitéàchaque port.

Définition des voyants
1. Voyant d’auto-alimentation (orange) - indique que le
concentrateur est alimentépar l’adaptateur.
2. Voyants des ports 1 à4 (verts). Un voyant alluméindique que
le port est prêt àl’emploi ou actuellement utilisé. En présence
d’une surintensité, le port se ferme immédiatement et le
voyant s’éteint. Il se réinitialise lorsque le concentrateur est
débranchépuis rebranché.

Installation
1. Branchez l’adaptateur secteur sur le jack du panneau latéral
du concentrateur (en option).
2. Branchez le connecteur de type B sur le port en amont (port
racine) du concentrateur.
3. Branchez le connecteur de type A sur l’hôte (PC).
4. Connectez tous les périphériques USB àl’hôte du
concentrateur (2).Branchez le connecteur de type B sur le port
en amont (port racine) du concentrateur (1).
Sélection du mode d’alimentation
Il existe deux modes d’alimentation: le mode d’auto-alimentation
et le mode d’alimentation par bus. Pour le mode
d’auto-alimentation, le concentrateur fournit aux ports en aval un
courant de +5 V c.c., 500 mA (max) par port. En mode
d’alimentation par bus, le concentrateur alimente seulement les
quatre ports en aval (Port1 àPort4) en courant de +5 V c.c., 500
mA au total.
