SAFETY HINTS
The appliance may only be operated on an electricity supply which corresponds to the voltage and type of current
specified on the housing (rating plate).
CAUTION:
•Never use your HAIR DRY R in the bath, under a shower or over a washbasin filled with water.
•If. however, the appliance should fall into water, pull the power plug out of the power socket
immediately !
•Never place your hand in the water.
•Have your appliance checked by a qualified electrician before using it again. Do not direct aerosols or
water sprays into your appliance !
•nsure that your appliance does not get wet (water splashing,etc. ) and do not use it with wet hands. If
you put your appliance down whilst drying your hair, always switch it off as a precaution.
•The air outlet grill will inevitably become hot during use.
•Do not allow the flex to come into contact with the air outlet during use.
•Please check the flex for damage from time to time ! In the event of any necessary repair , including
replacement of the mains lead, your appliance should be sent to the specialist retailer (since the use of
special tools is necessary) from whom your HAIRDRY R was acquired.
•When drying your hair in rollers do not allow any clips, hairpins, etc. to project more than 10 mm (finger
width) so as to ensure that they cannot come into contact with the live parts inside the appliance.
•Children do not realise the dangers arising from improper use of electrical appliances.
•Children should not therefore be allowed to use a HAIRDRY R without supervision.
•Please read these operating instructions carefully and explain all necessary precautions to your children.
•The air inlet and outlet openings should never be obstructed.
•If, however, the airflow is inadvertedly obstructed during use, the built-in thermal safety cutout will
automatically switch off the appliance. The HAIRDRY R will switch on again automatically after cooling
down for a few minutes.
•Alw ys unplug your ppli nce fter use nd before cle ning it !
•The safety grill fitted in the air inlet opening prevents hair from being drawn in.
•If the grill becomes clogged, it should be cleaned (e. g. with vacuum cleaner or brush) as otherwise the
airflow will be obstructed to such an exten that the thermal cutout will operate.
•Keep your hair away from the immediate vicinity of the air i niet opening. Repairs to electrical appliance
should only be performed be a qualified electrician. Improper repairs may place the used at serious risk.
•CAUTION: Do not use the hair drier near bathrooms, lavabo or any washeasins.
•Maintenance oper ation and components replacements must be done by qualified people.
•After using in a bath room, you have to unplug the hair dryer due to danger of contact with water.
•For additional protection, we advise you to install a residual current device (RCD) in the electrical circuit
that supplies the bathroom. This RCD must have a rated residual operating current not higher than
30mA. Ask your installer for advice.
