is guide covers the removal of the T9 keypad and installing the T10 keypad for Triton X3 ATMs.

is manual applies to all service personnel involved in installing, conguring, or upgrading soware on Triton
ATMs nationwide and abroad.
 

1. Properly ground the user with an electrostatic device, wrist strap.
2. Log into the ATM and perform a shutdown of the unit through the Management Functions menu. Manage-
ment Functions > (5) System parameters > (4) Shut Down the Terminal.
3. Press the Enter button to shut down the ATM.
4. Aer the ATM noties it is safe to shut down the computer, open the control panel and press the power switch
on the power supply to the OFF (O) position.
5. Squeeze the clip and disconnect the 1x4 multi-wire data cable from the keypad.
6. Disconnect the keypad data cable from the keypad.

7. Use a #2 Phillips screwdriver to remove the six screws from the keypad.
**Note**
Do not let the keypad drop on the LED circuit board.
8. Remove the keypad from the ATM.

9. Align and install the T10 keypad into the ATM opening.
10. Use a #2 Phillips screwdriver to secure the keypad with six screws.
**Note**
Do not over tight the screws, but hand tighten.
11. Connect the keypad data blue cable to the keypad.
12. Connect the 1x4 multi-wire data cable from the keypad
13. Press the power switch on the power supply to the ON (I) position.
14. Close and lock the control panel.

e Device Status report will indicate if the EPP has been installed correctly in the unit. is is imperative to
check prior to activation. If it is not installed correctly, the EPP activation will fail.
1. Log into Management Functions.
2. Navigate to Management Functions > (2) Diagnostics > (8) Keypad > (1) Device Status. If the UI on your ATM
is disabled, your screens will dierent. Function numbers are the same for either screen, (Right Image).
3. e “Remove Detector Activated:” will read “TRUE” for a correctly installed T10 EPP keypad and “FALSE”
if the keypad is not installed correctly. Check the keypad alignment to the opening and secure with the six
screws.
   
1. Navigate to Management Functions > Diagnostics (2) > Keypad (8) > Activate EPP (4).
2. A message screen will appear, “EPP activation successful.” Press the Enter button and return to Keypad
Diagnostics menu.

3. If the following screen appears, the keypad requires re-activation. Triton Technical Support cannot supply
an activation code. e user must log into www.triton.com to complete the reactivation process. e website
will require the following information: (Operator ID:, EPP Serial Number:, Nonce Number:, and the ATM
serial number). Get the ATM serial number from inside the Control Panel.
4. Log into www.triton.com. Navigate to Services & Support. Click Soware Feature Activation.
5. At the bottom of the page, Click Re-Active T9/T10 EPP. Enter the data from step-3 and the ATM’s Serial
Number. Click the Submit button.
6. e website displays a ten-digit activation response number.

7. Enter the Activation Response number into the EPP Activation dialog, then press the Enter and Return
button.
8. When activation is complete, the “EPP activation successful” message screen appears. Press the Enter button
and return to Keypad Diagnostics menu.
9. Press the Exit Management Functions button and set the ATM for customer’s use.
