This manuaHcontains information for a high pressure
washer that operates at 3,700 PSI at a flow rate of
4.0 gallons per minute.This powerful high quality system
features hrge H2" wheeHs, a pump equipped with an
automatic cooH down system, chemicaH iniecdon system,
nozzle extension with quick connect nozzles, safety goggles,
heavy duty 50' hose, and more.

Section 1: Safety Rules
DANGER
Operate pressure washer ONLY outdoors,
Use a respirator or mask whenever there is a chance that
vapors may be inhaled.
Read all instructions with mask so you are certain the mask will
provide the necessary protection against inhaling harmful vapors.
WARNING 1
. Keep water spray away from electric wiring or fatal electric
shock may resuk.
WARNING
Keep spray tip between 8 to 24 inches away from cleaning
surface.
Operate this unit on a stable surface.
The cleaning area should have adequate slopes and drainage to
reduce the possibility of a fall due to slippery surfaces.
Be extremely careful if you must use the pressure washer from
aladder, scaffolding or any other relatively unstable location,
Firmly grasp spray gun with both hands when using high
pressure spray to avoid iniury if gun kicks back.
WARNING
WHEN ADDING FUEL
Turn pressure washer" OFF and let it cool at least 2 minutes
before removing gas cap.
Fill fuel tank outdoors.
DO NOT overfill tank.Allow space for fuel expansion.
Keep fuel away from sparks, open flames, pilot lights, heat, and
other ignition sources.
DO NOT light acigarette or smoke.

NEVER repair high-pressure hose. Replace it with an
equivalent rated hose.

WHEN ADJUSTING OR MAKING REPAiRSTOYOUR
PRESSURE WASHER
Disconnect spark pJugwire from spark pJugand placewire

CAUTION
DO NOT tamper with governed speed.
DO NOT operate pressure washer above rated pressure.
CAUTION
DO NOT secure spray gun in open position,
DO NOT leave spray gun unattended while machine is
running.
NEVER use a spray gun which does not have a trifler lock or
trigger guard in place and in working order:
Always be certain spray gum nozzles and accessories are
correctly attached.
DO NOT point spray gun at glass when in jet spray mode.
NEVER aim spray gun at plants.
If you have questions about intended use_ask dealer or
contact Brigs & Str_tton Power Products_
NEVER operate units with broken or missing parts, or
without protective housing or covers.
DO NOT by-pass any safety device on this machine.
Before starting pressure washer in cold weather, check all
parts of the equipment to be sure ice has not formed there.
NEVER move machine by pulling on high pressure hose. Use
handle provided on unit.
Check fuel system for leaks or signs of deterioration, such as
chafed or spongy hose, loose or missing clamps, or damaged
tank or cap. Correct all defects before operating pressure
washerL

PREPARING PRESSURE
WASHER FOR USE
If you have any probHems with the assembHy of your
pressure washer or if parts are missing or damage& caHHthe
pressure washer heHpHineat i-888-6 i i -6708.
To prepare your pressure washer for operation, you
wii[ need to perform these tasks:
I. Fill out and send in registration card.
2. Verify oil dipsticl< has been installed into pump (Figure I).
3. Attach handle to main unit.
4. Add oiHto engine.
5. Add fuel to fuel tank.
6. Connect high pressure hose to spray gun and pump.
7. Connect water supply to pump.
8. Connect nozzHeextension to spray gun.
9. SeHectand instaHHdesired quick connect spray tip.

Section 3: Assembly
Attach Handle
H. PHace handHe assembHy onto handHe supports connected
to main unit. Hake sure holies in handHe aHignwith holies
on handHe supports (Figure 2).

NOTE: It may be necessary to move the handHesupports
from side to side in order to aHign the handHe so it wiHHsHide
over the handHe supports.
2. Insert carriage boHts through holies from outside of unit
and attach pHastic knob on inside of handHes (Figure 3).
Tighten by hand.

3. Insert muHti-coHored spray tips in spaces provided in
handHe.
Add Engine Oil and Fuel

• Refer to engine manual for oil and fuel fill information.
• Damage to equipment resulting from failure to follow this
instruction will void warranty,
oRefer to engine owner's manual and follow oil and fuel
recommendations and instructions.
NOTE: Check oiHoften during engine break-in. Refer to
engine owner's manual for recommendations.
Connect Hose and Water Supply to
IMPORTANT:To avoid pump damage,you must assembHe
the nozzle extension to the spray gun and attach all hoses
before you start the engine.
H. UncoiH high pressure hose and attach quick connect
end of hose to base of spray gun (Figure 4). PuHHdown
on coHHar of quick connect, sHide onto spray gun and Het
go of coHHar.Tug on hose to be sure of tight connection.

NOTE: Remove and discard aHHpump shipping caps before
attaching hoses.

2, Similarly, attach other end of high pressure hose to
high pressure oudet on pump (Figure 5). PuHHdown on

4. Run water through garden hose for 30 seconds to
dean out any debris.Turn off water.
[MPORTANT: DO NOT siphon standing water for the
water supply, Use ONLY coHdwater (less than [00°F).
5. Connect garden hose (not to exceed 50 feet in length)
to water inHet.Tighten by hand (Figure 6).
Damageto equipment resulting from failure to follow this

6, Turn ON water and squeeze trigger on spray gun to
purge pump system of air and impurities,
WANNING
Always wear eye protection when using this equipment or in
vicinity of where equipment is in use.
Before starting the pressure washer, be sure you are wearing
adequate eye protection,

3. Add proper fuel to fuel tank.

5. Check to make sure there are no kinks, cuts, or
damage to high pressure hose.
6. Provide a proper water suppHy (not to exceed H00°F)
at an adequate flow.
7. Be sure to read "Safety RuHes"and "HowTo Use
PressureVVasher" before using pressure washer.

How to Start Engine
The best way to start your pressure washer for the first
time is to follow these instructions step-by-step.Ths

H. PHacepressure washer near an outside water source
capabHeof suppHyingwater at a flow rate greater than
5.0 gaHHonsper minute and no Hessthan 20 PSI at
pressure washer end of garden hose.
2. Hake sure unit is in a HeveHposition.
3. Check that high pressure hose is connected to spray
gun and pump. See "Preparing Pressure _A/asher for
Use" for iHHustrations.
4. Connect garden hose to water inlet on pressure
washer pump. Turn ON water.
• Damage to equipment resulting from failure to follow this
instruction will void warranty.
5. Squeeze trigger on gun untiH you have a steady stream
of water.This purges pump of air and impurities.
6. Attach nozzHe extension to spray gun (Figure 7).
Tighten by hand.
7. Choose spray tip you want to use and insert it into
nozzHe extension. See "How to Use SprayTips'.
8. AppHy safety Hatch to spray gun trigger (Figure 8).

CAUTION
• When starting engine, pull cord slowly until resistance is felt
and then pull rapidly to avoid kickback,
• [f engine starts and fails to continue to run or if increased
resistance is felt during starting pull attempts, squeeze trigger

NOTE: AHways keep the throttle Hever in the "Fast"
position when operating the pressure washer.
How to Stop Pressure Washer
*Turn engine off according to instructions given in engine
owner's manua[.
* Squeeze trigger on the spray gun to remieve
pressure in the hose.
NOTE: A smaHHamount of water wiHHsquirt out when you
release the pressure.

I-tow to Use the SprayT[ps
The quick-connect on the nozzHe extension aHHowsyou to
switch between five different spray tips.The spray tips vary
the spray pattern as shown bellow (Figure 9).
CAUTION
*NEVER exchange spr D, tips without locking the safety latch
on the trigger:
FoJJow these instructions to change spray tips:
H. Engage safety Hatchon spray gun.
2. PuHHbacH<coHHaron qock-connect and puHHcurrent
spray tip off. Store spray tips in space provided on
handle storage pane[.
3. SeHect desired spray tip:
For gentle rinse, seHect white 40 ° or green 25 °
spray tip.
To scour surface_ select yellow [5 ° or red 0° spray
tip.
To appHy chemical seHect bHack spray tip.
4. PuHHbacH<on collar, insert new spray tip and reHease
coHHar.Tugon spray tip to make sure it is secureHy in
pHace.
5. For most effective cHeaning, keep spray tip from 8 to 24
inches away from cHeaning surface, if you get spray tip
too chose, you may damage cHeaning surface. DO NOT
get c[oser than 6 inches when cHeaning tires.

iMPORTANT: Use soaps designed specifically for
pressure washers. HousehoHd detergents couHd damage
the pump.
•Starting the engine without aJl the hoses connected and
without the water turned ON will damage the pump_

To apply detergent follow these steps:
H. Review spray tip use.
2. Prepare detergent soHution as required by manufacturer.
3. PHace chemica[ injection siphon/tiNter into detergent
container.
• When inserting the filter" into a detergent solution bottle,
route the tube so as to keep it from inadvertently contacting
the hot muffler:
4. Make sure bHack spray tip is instaHHed.
NOTE: Detergent cannot be appHied with the high
pressure spray tips (White, GreemYeHHow, or Red).
