5. During the initial o eration
of a brand new a liance (or
after it has not been used for
some time), a slight amount
of fumes and smell may be
noticed for a short while. This
can be remedied by running
the heater immediately at
maximum out ut and ensur-
ing adequate room ventila-
tion.
6. If the burner makes an un-
usual noise or if the flame
lifts off, it is likely that the
regulator is faulty and it is es-
sential to have it checked.
7. Items sensitive to heat
(e.g. s ray cans) must not be
stored in the installation area,
since excess tem eratures
may under certain circum-
stances be incurred there.
8. Only ressure control
equi ment that com lies
with EN 12864 (in vehicles)
with a fixed delivery ressure
of 30 mbar (or 50 mbar in
older systems) must be used
for the gas system. The flow
rate of the ressure control
device must corres ond to at
least the maximum con-
sum tion of all devices in-
stalled by the system manu-
facturer.
For vehicles we recommend
the Truma caravan regulator
and the Duomatic Plus gas
ressure regulator kit for the
two-bottle system. Truma
regulators have been s ecial-
ly develo ed for the harsh
stress conditions in caravans
and vehicles. As well as a
safety valve that rovides
rotection against over res-
sure, they also have a res-
sure gauge that can be used
to check the tightness of the
gas system. The ressure
control equi ment should be
o erated with a de-icing sys-
tem (Eis-Ex) at tem eratures
around 0°C and below.
Controller connecting hoses
that meet national regulations
must always be used in the
res ective country for which
the equi ment is destined.
These hoses must be
checked regularly for brittle-
ness. Winter- roof s ecial
hoses must always be used if
the equi ment is o erated
during the winter.

Manufacturer’s
terms of warranty
1. Case of warranty
The manufacturer grants a
warranty for malfunctions in
the a liance which are
based on material or roduc-
tion faults. In addition to this,
the statutory warranty claims
against the seller remain
valid.
A claim under warranty shall
not ertain
- for arts subject to wear
and in cases of natural wear
and tear,
- as a result of not original
Truma arts being used in
the a liance and as a re-
sult of unsuitable gas res-
sure regulators being used,
- as a consequence of failure
to res ect Truma instruc-
tions for installation and
use,
- as a consequence of im-
ro er handling,
- as a consequence of im-
ro er trans ort acking,
not arranged by Truma.
2. Scope of warranty
The warranty is valid for mal-
functions as stated under
item 1, which occur within
24 months after conclusion
of the urchase agreement
between the seller and the fi-
nal consumer. The manufac-
turers will make good such
defects by subsequent fulfil-
ment, i.e. at their discretion
either by re air or re lace-
ment. In the event of manu-
facturers roviding service
under warranty, the term of
the warranty shall not re-
commence anew with regard
to the re aired or re laced
arts; rather, the old warranty
eriod shall continue to run.
More extensive claims, in
articular claims for com en-
satory damages by ur-
chasers or third arties, shall
be excluded. This does not
affect the rules of the roduct
liability law.
The manufacturer shall bear
the cost of em loying the
Truma customer service for
the removal of a malfunction
under warranty - in articular
trans ortation costs, travel-
ling ex enses, job and mater-
ial costs, as long as the ser-
vice is carried out in Ger-
many. Customer service car-
ried out abroad is not cov-
ered by the warranty.
Additional costs based on
com licated removal and in-
stallation conditions of the
a liance (e.g. removal of
furniture or arts of the vehi-
cle body) do not come under
warranty.
3. Raising the case of
warranty
The manufacturer's address
is: Truma Gerätetechnik
GmbH & Co. KG, Wernher-
von-Braun Strasse 12,
D-85640 Putzbrunn. In Ger-
many, in the event of faults
the Truma Service Centre
should in rinci le be con-
tacted; abroad, the individual
service artners are available
(see address list). Any com-
laints are to be described in
detail. In addition, the ro er-
ly com leted guarantee cer-
tificate is to be resented, or
the factory number of the
unit and the date of urchase
given.
In order for the manufactur-
ers to be able to determine
whether an incident subject
to guarantee has occurred,
the end user must, at his own
risk, bring the device to the
manufacturers or send it to
them. If there is damage to
heaters (heat exchangers),
the gas ressure regulator
must also be sent back to the
factory.
In instances of the device be-
ing sent to the works, dis-
atch is to be effected by
freight trans ort. In cases un-
der guarantee, the works
shall bear the trans ort costs
or the costs of delivery and
return. If the damage is
deemed not to be a warranty
case, the manufacturer shall
notify the customer and shall
s ecify re air costs which
shall not be borne by the
manufacturer; in this case,
the customer shall also bear
the shi ing costs.
