Thank you for purchasing the Ubiquiti Networks RocketDish™,
an airMAX™Carrier Class 2x2 PtP Bridge Dish Antenna, model:
RD-5G30. This Quick Start Guide is designed to walk you through
the installation of the RocketDish.

Installation Requirements
• RocketM5 or RocketM5 GPS (sold separately)
• Phillips #1 screwdriver
• 16 mm or 5/8 in. wrench
• 24 mm wrench
• Shielded Category 5 (or above) cabling should be used for all
wired Ethernet connections and should be grounded through
the AC ground of the PoE.

Hardware Installation
Important: Handle the Dish Reflector with care.
Deformations in its shape may reduce the RocketDish's
effectiveness.
1. The Dish Reflector and Antenna Feed are keyed so the Antenna
Feed can only be installed in a single orientation. Attach the
Antenna Feed to the Dish Reflector in the following steps:
a. Line up the alignment pin on the Dish Reflector with the
hole on the Antenna Feed.
b. Insert the four M4 Bolts with Lock Washer Assemblies into the
Antenna Feed and Dish Reflector.
c. Tighten the four M4 Bolts with Lock Washer Assemblies.
Important: Do not handle the RocketDish by the Antenna
Feed once the feed is connected.

2. Attach the RF Cables to the connectors labeled Chain 0 and
Chain 1 on the RocketM.
3. Attach the RocketM to the Dish Reflector.
a. Align the mounting tabs on the back of the RocketM with
the Rocket Mounting Bracket located below the Antenna
Feed.
b. Slide the RocketM down to lock it into place.

4. Attach the other ends of the RF Cables to the RF connectors on
the Antenna Feed.
5. Attach the Protective Shroud.
a. Align the arrow on the top of the shroud with the short
hash mark on the Dish Reflector.
b. Rotate the shroud clockwise until it aligns with the long
hash mark to lock into place.

6. Attach the Elevation Rod to the Main Mounting Bracket.
a. Attach one M16 nut and one M16 washer to the Elevation
Rod.
b. Insert the Elevation Rod into the Main Mounting Bracket.
c. Secure the Elevation Rod with one M16 washer, one M16
spring lock washer, and one M16 nut.
7. Insert the four M10x150 Carriage Bolts into the Main Mounting
Bracket.

8. Attach the RocketDish to the Main Mounting Bracket.
a. Insert one M10x25 Carriage Bolt into the RocketDish and
Elevation Rod.
b. Insert two M10x25 Carriage Bolts into the RocketDish and
lower section of the Main Mounting Bracket.
c. Secure each M10x25 Carriage Bolt with one M10 washer, one
M10 spring lock washer, and one M10 nut.

9. Attach the Stabilizer Brackets to the pole just beneath the area
where the RocketDish will be attached.
Note: The mounting assembly can accommodate a
Ø 1.5" - 4.0" pole.
a. Place one Stabilizer Bracket on each side of the pole.
b. Insert the two M10x100 Bolts into the Stabilizer Brackets.
c. Secure each M10x100 Bolt with one M10 washer, one M10
spring lock washer, and one M10 nut.
d. Tighten the nuts to approximately 14 N-m (10 lb-ft).

10. Attach the Main Mounting Bracket to the pole just above the
Stabilizer Brackets.
a. Slide a Pole Clamp over each pair of M10x150 Carriage Bolts.
b. Secure each M10x150 Carriage Bolt with one M10 washer,
oneM10springlockwasher,andoneM10nut.

11. Visually align the azimuth and elevation. To adjust the
azimuth, rotate the RocketDish while it is supported by the
Stabilizer Brackets. To adjust the elevation angle, tighten
or loosen the M16 nuts on the Elevation Rod so that the
RocketDish is set to the desired tilt. Tighten all bolts and nuts
to approximately 14 N-m (10 lb-ft) or less to avoid deforming
the pole.

2. There are no operator serviceable parts inside this equipment. Service
should be provided only by a qualified service technician.

General Warranty
UBIQUITI NETWORKS, Inc (“UBIQUITI NETWORKS”) represents and
warrants that the Products furnished hereunder shall be free from defects
in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date
of shipment by UBIQUITI NETWORKS under normal use and operation.
UBIQUITI NETWORKS sole and exclusive obligation under the foregoing
warranty shall be to repair or replace, at its option, any defective Product
that fails during the warranty period. The expense of removal and
reinstallation of any item is not included in this warranty.
The foregoing warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties,
express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability and
fitness for a particular purpose and any warranties arising from a course
of dealing, usage or trade practice with respect to the products. Repair or
replacement in the manner provided herein shall be the sole and exclusive
remedy of Buyer for breach of warranty and shall constitute fulfillment
of all liabilities of UBIQUITI NETWORKS with respect to the quality and
performance of the Products. UBIQUITI NETWORKS reserves the right
to inspect all defective Products (which must be returned by Buyer to
UBIQUITI NETWORKS factory freight prepaid).
No Products will be accepted for replacement or repair without obtaining
a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number from UBIQUITI NETWORKS.
Products returned without an RMA number will not be processed and will
be returned to Buyer freight collect. UBIQUITI NETWORKS shall have no
obligation to make repairs or replacement necessitated by catastrophe,
fault, negligence, misuse, abuse, or accident by Buyer, Buyer’s customers or
any other parties. The warranty period of any repaired or replaced Product
shall not extend beyond its original term.
Warranty Conditions
The foregoing warranty shall apply only if:
(I) The Product has not been subjected to misuse, neglect or unusual
physical, electrical or electromagnetic stress, or some other type of
accident.
(II) No modification, alteration or addition has been made to the Product
by persons other than UBIQUITI NETWORKS or UBIQUITI NETWORK’S
authorized representatives or otherwise approved by UBIQUITI
NETWORKS.
(III) The Product has been properly installed and used at all times in
accordance, and in all material respects, with the applicable Product
documentation.
(IV) All Ethernet cabling runs use CAT5 (or above) shielded cabling.

Disclaimer: UBIQUITI NETWORKS does not warrant that the operation of
the products is error-free or that operation will be uninterrupted. In no
event shall UBIQUITI NETWORKS be responsible for damages or claims
of any nature or description relating to system performance, including
coverage, buyer’s selection of products for buyer’s application and/or
failure of products to meet government or regulatory requirements.

In the unlikely event a defect occurs, please work through the dealer or
distributor from which this product was purchased.

The antenna and transmitter must be installed to provide a separation
distance from all persons and must not be located or operating in
conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. For the specific
separation distance, refer to the Quick Start Guide for your RocketM device
(transmitter).
