Running SpeedUpMyPC for the first time
Have you purchased SpeedUpMyPC yet? If not, you can still run the program to identify system flaws that
are slowing down your PC.Once you purchase and register you will also be able to speed up your PC.
Purchasing SpeedUpMyPC
• TopurchaseSpeedUpMyPC,clickontheRegister Now button at the bottom left of the free scan version.
Thiswillbringupapop-upwithaPurchase onlinebuttonatthebottomright.ClickonthePurchase
online button and a web browser window will appear.
• Fromthebrowserwindow,clickonthePurchase now button to go to the purchase page where you can
addtheproducttotheshoppingcart.Thiswillleadyoutoapagewhereyoucanenteryourpurchase
details and complete your transaction.

Downloading and installing SpeedUpMyPC

• Whenthepagehasloaded,clickontheDownload nowbutton.Youwillbegiventheoptiontosavethe

to start the installation wizard.
• FollowtheWizardtonalizetheinstallationprocess.

Registering SpeedUpMyPC
• Afterpurchaseyouwillreceivebyemailaserialnumberthatneedstobeenteredintotheproductfor
registration.TheserialnumberentrywindowcanbeaccessedbyclickingontheRegister now button at
the bottom left of all screens.
• InserttheserialnumberintheEnterSerialNumbereldandclickonActivate now.Theserialnumber
shouldstartwiththelettersSPandbeinthefollowingformat,whereXrepresentsacharacter:SP-XXXXX-
XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX.
Alternative registration
• Forregistrationtotakeplace,SpeedUpMyPCneedstoconnecttotheUniblueserver.Ifitcannotestab-
lishaconnection,apop-upshouldpromptyoutocheckyourInternetconnection,rewallandproxy
settings, and then provide you with an option to activate the program manually through the Uniblue
website.
• If,aftercheckingyoursettings,youarestillunabletoactivateyourproduct,clickonthe‘activatemanually
ontheUnibluewebsite’text.Thislaunchesabrowserwindowlinkedtoaspecialalternativeactivation
page.Followtheinstructionsonthispagecarefullytocompleteregistration.
Scanning for issues slowing down your PC
• Bydefaultandpriortoregistration,SpeedUpMyPClaunchesascanautomaticallyuponstarting.Ifthe
scandoesnotstartautomatically,clicktheScan button from the Overview screen.
• Oncethescanhasnished,theprogramwilldisplay,underdifferentcategories,thenumberofissues
identiedtobeslowingdownyourPC.Theseissueswillberemovedthroughtheimplementationof
particularimprovements.Toseethelistofimprovementssettobeimplemented,clickonthecategory
name, shown in blue and underlined.
Speeding up your PC
• Bydefault,SpeedUpMyPCwillconductafullsystemspeedup,implementingspeedtoolsandsystem
tweaksaswellascleaningjunkles.Tostartthespeedupprocess,clickontheSpeed up now button on
the bottom right of the screen.
Conducting a selective speed up
• Youcanchoosetoomitcertainimprovementsfromthespeedupprocessbydeselectingindividual
improvementsfromthescanresults.Todothis,clickonthetweakcategoryname,showninblueand
underlined.Improvementswillbelistedwithacheckboxtotheirleft.Simplyuntickanyimprovements
youwouldliketoomit.
