Intended use
11/20 FlowTimer+ Remote Set 6
3 Intended use
Please observe the instructions in this operating manual as well as
the operating conditions and permissible data according to the data
sheet to ensure that the system functions properly and remains
operational for a long time. In case of non-observance of these
instructions as well as in case of unauthorized interventions in the
system, any liability on our part is void, and the warranty on the
system and accessories is also void!
The FlowTimer+ Remote Set consists ofthree 433 Mhz radio water
sensors (modified Sonoff DW2-RF door sensors), a radio remote
control and a KTNNKG 2 channel radio receiver.
The radio receiver must be located at the installation site of
FlowTimer+. The wireless water sensors can be up to 50 meters
away (depending on the environment) (bathroom, kitchen, etc.).
If a radio water sensor detects conductive drinking water,
FlowTimer+ is immediately shut off via the radio receiver. Any
number of wireless water sensors can be taught-in.
The learnable radio remote control can shut off the water or reset
the FlowTimer+.
The FlowTimer+ Remote Set contains additional parts to split the
FlowTimer+ I/O connector. This allows you to connect additional
FlowTimer+ accessories if required.
An alarm reset can be done via the connected FlowTimer+ or via
the second channel of the radio receiver via radio remote control.
Any other or further use is considered to be improper. usetech
GmbH shall not be liable for any damage resulting from such use.
The risk is borne solely by the user.

Intended use
11/20 FlowTimer+ Remote Set 7
3.1 Use not in accordance with regulations
Unauthorized use in the sense of a foreseeable misuse is
considered to be improper use:
The supplied I/O Splitter must not be used instead of a
FlowTimer+ Hub to connect FlowTimer+ devices to each other!
It can only be used within an I/O connection between
FlowTimer+ and FlowTimer+ Hub to connect accessories!
The water sensors are only suitable for electrically conductive
drinking water.
The FlowTimer+ Protect is not directly supported, but only
indirectly via a group alarm via FlowTimer+ and FlowTimer+
Hub.
No telephones, ISDN, other devices or adapters may be
connected.
The Sonoff 433 RF Brigde cannot be used with the modified
DW2-RF sensor!
Therefore the EweLink App is also not usable!

Installation
11/20 FlowTimer+ Remote Set 9
5 Installation
5.1 Placement of the radio water sensors
Place the water sensors on the floor in such a way that in
case of alarm the four golden contact surfaces can come
into contact with water.
5.2 Placement of receiver, splitter and cables
Place the receiver, splitter and all I/O cables higher than
the water sensor to protect them from water in case of
flooding.
5.3 Electrical connection
Plug the I/O receiver cable (10) of the radio receiver (1) into the
FlowTimer+ I/O connector.
If the connector is already occupied or the cable (10) is too short,
please use the splitter (5) and the I/O connection cable (6)
additionally.
When the I/O plug is plugged into the socket, this must
cause a clicking noise. If not, please check again if the
plug is properly engaged!
When disconnecting connections, please make sure to
press the locking tabs of the I/O connectors!

Installation
11/20 FlowTimer+ Remote Set 10
Disconnect the 24V power supply cable (from the power supply
unit) from FlowTimer+ and connect it to the DC input cable (8)
of the receiver (1).
Connect the DC output cable (9) of the receiver to the
FlowTimer+ power supply connector.
This cable (9) is somewhat short, if necessary use the
DC extension cable (7).
5.4 Commissioning
Open the three wireless water sensors (2) by carefully (without
tools) levering the covers (bottom side, with the four golden
contacts) away from the upper part with your fingers.
Do not pull on the two internal sensor cables!
Danger of destruction!
Now insert the supplied 12V batteries (4). Please pay attention
to the polarity +/-)!
Only 27A 12V special batteries may be used!
Carefully close the covers again.

5.5 Teach water sensor
Open the receiver (1) by carefully levering the cover (bottom
side) away from the upper part.
The red LED above the "Learn" button is solid red.
Now press the "Learn" button in the receiver for 1 second
The LED goes out after a short time
You now have about 10 seconds to teach a water sensor.
To connect a water sensor (2) to the radio receiver (1), bridge
two contact surfaces (13) (short distance, see picture) with wet
fingers or an electrically conductive object.
The red LED (above the "Learn" button on the receiver) will
immediately light up briefly three times.
After about 10 seconds, it will be permanently red.
The water sensor is now taught-in.

5.6 Teach remote control
Open the receiver (1) by carefully levering the cover (bottom
side) away from the upper part.
The red LED above the "Learn" button is solid red.
Now press the "Learn" button in the receiver for 1 second
The LED goes out after a short time
You now have approx. 10 seconds to teach a remote control.
To teach the remote control (3), press the button 15 and then
the button 14.
The red LED (above the "Learn" button of the receiver) lights
up three times immediately after pressing the button.
After about 2 seconds, it will be permanently red.
The remote control is now learned. The buttons "Horn" and
"Mute" of the remote control are not used!

Installation
11/20 FlowTimer+ Remote Set 13
5.7 Deleting the programming
Press the "Learn" button (11) 8 times briefly.
The LED above the "Learn" button flashes each time.
After pressing 8 times, the LED flashes briefly 3 times.
All codes stored in the radio receiver are now deleted.
5.8 Functional test
Start FlowTimer+ and wait until the flow duration indicator stops
flashing.
For testing, bridge the sensor surfaces (13) of each water sensor one
after the other at the final operating location by placing it on a damp
cloth.
The FlowTimer+ should then shut off after approx. 5 seconds.
Reset the FlowTimer+.
Now repeat this test with all water sensors.
To test, press the "lock" button 15 on the remote control (3) for about
3 seconds.
The FlowTimer+ will lock after approx. 5 seconds.
Now press the button 16 "reset" on the remote control for about 3
seconds.
The FlowTimer+ is reset.
By changing the position of the throwing antenna (16) the
radio transmission can be optimized if necessary.

Operation and function
11/20 FlowTimer+ Remote Set 14
6 Operation and function
6.1 Operating states
6.1.1 Normal operation
If a wireless water sensor detects conductive drinking water, it is
shut off via FlowTimer+.
FlowTimer+ can be locked or reset via the remote control.
6.1.2 Restarting the system
An alarm reset can be done via radio remote control, via the
connected FlowTimer+ or its supply voltage.
A further prerequisite is that all water detectors are dry again and
the splinter did not get wet!
6.1.3 Battery pre-alarm
The water sensors have NO battery pre-alarm!
The battery must therefore be replaced regularly
(see Maintenance) to ensure proper operation.

Troubleshooting, maintenance
11/20 FlowTimer+ Remote Set 15
7 Troubleshooting, maintenance
If a shutdown has occurred, first check all locations of the
water sensors for possible water accumulation.
If the connected FlowTimer+ shuts down without any reason,
disconnect the I/O of the receiver(10) from the I/O connector of
FlowTimer+.
Now check your FlowTimer+ system according to the
instructions of the respective products.
7.1 Maintenance
Interval
Action
Monthly
Restart the entire system and check its
function (see "Instructions FlowTimer+ Set").
Annually
All batteries should be replaced annually.
