GENERAL SAFETY RULES AND PRECAUTIONS

MEANING OF SPECIAL LANGUAGE
FAILURE TO OPERATE THE PRODUCT CORRECTLY CAN RESULT IN PRODUCT DAMAGE,
PERSONAL PROPERTY AND CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY.
• Portable units should only be used for intended purposes;
they are intended for secondary disinfection only, primary
cleaning to remove foreign materials (e.g., dust, soil),
and organic materials (e.g., blood, secretions, excretions)
must be completed first.
• This product is for indoor UVC Light decontamination use only.
• Do not use this device if it is damaged as this may cause
injuries; in case of damage, contact your local UVC Experts
Representative for repair.
• Unprotected exposure to UVC light can cause injuries that may
include but are not limited to damage to eyes and skin. Always
ensure the intended treatment space is NOT occupied by any
person or animals for any reason. Keep bystanders, children,
visitors and pets away from the device and out of the treatment
area while operating the equipment.
• Do not use equipment while tired or under the influence of
drugs, alcohol, or medication.
• Operate in an enclosed, non-occupied are only. Windows and
doors must be closed during equipment operation.
• Post warning signs in a conspicuous place where everyone can
see them preventing a person from entering the area when
operating the equipment. “Do Not Enter - UVC
Treatment in Progress. Danger do not expose
eyes or skin to UVC radiation”. Be sure to
display “DO NOT ENTER - TREATMENT
IN PROGRESS” signs at all access points to the room.
• Store devices out of reach of children and other untrained
personnel when not in use.
• UVC Experts equipment should never be disassembled,
opened, or altered by the user. Modifying the equipment will
create a safety issue and void the warranty and violate the
lease agreement with UVC Experts.
• Use light blocking material on visible gaps greater than 1/2”
in the door seal or at the bottom of the door. No visible light
should escape the desired treatment area. Gaps in the door
seal could cause a risk of damage to eyes and skin.
• When transporting, use the handles located on the top and
sides of the device.
• The SolarStorm should never be left unattended on an incline
or utilized on an unstable surface.
• If lamps are broken or damaged, follow cleanup procedures
found in this manual. Contact UVC Experts LLC for service or
replacement components.
• Do not remove safety labels; they are there for the user’s
protection.
• Always inspect the power cord before use, if power cord is
damaged, do mot operate, call the UVC Experts Representative
immediately.
• Do not touch lamps or metal cage after operation. Lamps will be
hot during operation and should NEVER be touched.
• Do not modify or alter the product as it may compromise the
equipment’s safety and void the warranty.
• Use replacement parts supplied by UVC Experts. Avoid the use
of aftermarket bulb replacements.
• UVC Expert devices weigh approximately 39 lbs. They will
require adequate strength to maintain control of the equipment
during transportation.
• Never operate more than two SolarStorm 800 on a single
15AMP circuit. The SolarStorm LE UVC Experts device requires
a dedicated 15AMP circuit to operate dual units. A single
SolarStorm 800 device requires a 7.0AMP circuit or greater
to operate.
