INTRODUCTION
Pull or pop with this cute bug character for shape sorting fun! The
Crazy Legs Learning Bug by VTech®features shape sorting
pieces that pop out with a push of the cute baby ladybird. The
flapping butterfly and sliding caterpillar on the side of the bug provide
manipulative play. The toy’s rolling design promotes crawling and
walking.

WARNING: All packing materials, such as tape, plastic
sheets, packaging locks, removable tags, cable
ties and packaging screws are not part of this
toy and should be discarded for your child’s
safety.
NOTE: Please keep this parent’s guide as it contains
important information.
GETTING STARTED
BATTERY INSTALLATION
1. Make sure the unit is turned OFF.
2. Locate the battery cover on the
bottom of the unit. Use a screwdriver
to loosen the screw.
3. Install 2 new AA (LR6/AM-3) batteries
following the diagram inside the
battery box. (The use of new alkaline
batteries is recommended for
maximum performance).
4. Replace the battery cover and tighten
the screw to secure.
Unlock the packaging locks:
Rotate the packaging lock anticlockwise 90
degrees.
Pull out and discard the packaging lock.

Disposal of batteries and product

batteries,orontheirrespectivepackaging,indicatesthey
must not be disposed of in domestic waste as they contain
substances that can be damaging to the environment and
human health.

that the battery contains more than the specified value of

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Please remove the baby bug label and
the two pieces of clear plastic beneath
it to expose the hole in the unit.
Discardthelabelandplasticinsertfor
your child’s safety.
2. Align the bottom of the baby bug with
the hole in the unit. Push the baby bug
into the hole until it clicks into place.
Once the baby bug is connected to the
mummybug,itcannotbedetached.
PRODUCT FEATURES
1. On/Off/Mode Switch
To turn the unit ON, slide the On/Off/
Mode Switch to the Learning Mode
() or the Music Mode ( )
position. To turn the unit OFF, slide
the On/Off/Mode Switch to the ( )
position.
With the Crazy Legs Learning Bugsafetycomesfirst:
1. Toensureyourchild'ssafety,theassemblyofthisproductisan
adultactivity,notachild'sactivity.
2. Please ensure that the baby bug is locked into position before
giving this toy to a child.

2. Pull Cord
To convert the unit from a push along
toy to a pull along toy, remove the pull
cord from the battery compartment
and thread it through the eyelet on
the bottom of the bug. For your child’s
safety, please store the pull cord in the
compartment until your child is walking.
(Adult supervision is recommended).
3. Automatic Shut Off
To preserve battery life, the Crazy Legs Learning Bug will
automatically power down after approximately 30 seconds without
input. The unit can be turned on again by pressing any button.
Pulling the mummy bug along will not turn the unit back on.
Note: If the unit powers down while playing, we suggest changing
the batteries.
ACTIVITIES
1. Shape Buttons
Press the Shape Buttons or insert
a Shape Sorting Piece to learn the
names and colours of the shapes,
nature objects and numbers in
Learning Mode. In Music Mode, the
buttons will trigger short tunes and
playful melodies. The lights ash with
the sounds.

2. Baby Bug
Press the Baby Bug to hear playful
phrases and fun sounds in Learning
Mode. In Music Mode, the buttons
will trigger songs and a variety of
melodies. Pressing down on the
Baby Bug releases the shape
sorting pieces that are inserted in the
mummy bug's back.
3. Light Up Insect Buttons
Press the Light Up Insect Buttons
to learn about the insects in Learning
Mode and to hear cheerful tunes and
melodies in Music Mode. The lights
will ash with the sounds.
4. Wheel Sensor
Push or pull the mummy bug to
activate the Wheel Sensor and hear
a variety of melodies and songs. As
the bug moves along, the lights will
ash with the sounds.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat
sources.
3. Remove the batteries when the unit is not in use for an extended
period of time.
4. Do not drop the unit on a hard surface and do not expose the unit
to excess moisture.

TROUBLESHOOTING
If for some reason the unit stops working, please follow these steps:
1. Turn the unit OFF.
2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
4. Turn the unit back ON. The unit will now be ready to play
with again.
5. If the unit still does not work, install a brand new set of batteries.
