listed models.
Overview
The 720SWK Sidewall Co-Linear Terminal Kit allows ap-
proved Valor units listed above only to be vented using
approved 3-inch flexible vent liners to penetrate an ex-
isting masonry solid-fuel burning fireplace and connect
to 720SWK horizontal termination rather than a vertical
termination at the top of the chimney.
530 models. 530IN/IP model fireplaces will also require
a 556CLA Co-Linear Adapter. 530 model fireplaces do
not require de-rating. This kit cannot be used with the
530CSK Coal effect fuel bed.
739-72ILN/ILP models. Use of this kit requires the stan-
dard 739-72ILN/ILP fireplace to be modified by remov-
ing the inlet air restrictors only. No derating is necessary
with this model.
RF24JDN/JDP with RA24CL models. Use of this kit
requires a RF24JD firebox with a RA24CL Co-linear Vent
Plate. Note: The vent restrictor plates located within inlet
collar of the co-linear vent plate will need to be adjust-
ed—see RF24JD installation section of this manual.
1000KN/KP models. Use of this kit requires a 1000CLA
Co-Linear Adapter.

(cannot be used with 530CSK Coal effect models)
For Valor heater G3 models 739M, use 720SWK-M kit.
For Valor heater G3.5 and G4 models 700, 780 and 785, use 720SWK-M2 kit.

Attaching Air Restrictors—
Appliances with more than 5’-0” Vertical Vent Rise Only
No restrictors are required for appliances which that have less than 5’-0” vertical run.
If installing an appliance which has less than 5’-0” vertical vent pipe rise, ignore this
stage.
Two restrictors, like the one shown right, are supplied with each 530 engine unit. The
restrictors cover part of the inlet air openings in the firebox rear wall on each side of
the brick support. Do NOT install the restrictors in the roof of the firebox!
Each restrictor is assembled with an adjustable piece which can be moved to different
positions depending of the vent configuration. See the table below to find out which
position is optimal for each type of installation.
• To fit the restrictors, loosen the two center screws of the left and right inlet ports.
Place the restrictor assembly under the screw heads and tighten the center screws.
• To set the adjustable restrictor piece, loosen the two screws, position the adjustable
piece according to the diagram below and tighten the screws. Adjustable

Modify the appliance (NG and LPG units)
This procedure may be done before or after installing
the appliance into the masonry cavity.
1. Remove the inlet air restrictor discs.
a. Remove rear log support held in place by two
screws at the rear and two on front tags behind
burner rail.
b. Remove air duct held in place by two screws at
the top and one screw on each side.
c. Remove two restrictor discs held in place by
three fixing screws of the six visible (remove
every second screw).
d. Reinstall air duct and log support.

RF24JDN/JDP with RA24CL ONLY
Air Restrictors Position
In vent plate, reset (open-up) air restrictors for
installations where vertical vent rise is between
3 and 5 feet.
For installations over 5 feet, leave restrictors in
supplied position (mid-point).
Release 4 screws and push restrictors outward
to open up vent. Tighten screws.
