The 1240BPK Backing Plate Kit can be installed on
the 1200 engine once the wall nish is completed.
NOTE: To install this backing plate, the surface of the nished hearth or oor must be at the
same level as the bottom of the heater. Please be aware that the backing plate mounting can
ONLY accommodate 1/2” wall thickness.
Note: This kit must be installed or serviced by a qualied installer, service agency or gas supplier.
These instructions are to be used in conjunction with the main installation instructions for the 1200.
Installation
Remove the 6 screws retaining the thin black metal strips to the top and sides of the replace opening as shown.
Remove the strips and discard them as they are not needed for this installation.
Slide the backing plate on the replace and x it with 2 screws at the top and 2 screws at the bottom on each
side as shown.

La plaque de soutien 1240BPK peut être installée sur
le foyer 1200 une fois la nition du mur terminée.
NOTE : An de permettre l’installation de la plaque de soutien, la base du foyer doit être
égale à la surface de la nition du plancher. Prenez note que le plaque de soutien ne peut
être montée que sur un mur d’une épaisseur maximale de 1/2”.
Installation
Dévissez les lisières de métal noir du haut et des côtés de l’ouverture de la boîte du foyer tel qu’indiqué. Ces
lisières ne sont pas nécessaires pour l’installation et peuvent être jetées.
Glissez la plaque de soutien en position sur l’ouverture du foyer. Fixez-la à l’aide de 2 vis au haut et 2 vis au bas
de chaque côté tel qu’indiqué ci-dessous.
