1. Introduction
To all residents of the European Union

3. General Guidelines
Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty on the last
pages of this manual.
Have the system installed by a qualified installer.
Respect the legislation in your region when installing an alarm
system. If necessary, refer to local authorities.
Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid brute force when
operating the device.
Protected the device against extreme heat, dust and moisture.
Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually
using it.
All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons.
The device does not contain any user-serviceable parts except for
the battery.
Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in
an unauthorised way will void the warranty.

6. Battery
The keypad comes with the battery already installed.
Low battery detection
The keypad has a low battery detection system. When it detects low
battery, the keypad still has enough energy for about 4 months.
Replacing the battery
1. Put the control panel in configuration mode to avoid triggering
the tamper alarm (tamper alarm is not active in this mode).
2. Remove both cover plates (for example with a small flathead
screwdriver).
The wall screws are now accessible.
3. Remove both wall screws.
4. Remove the 2 screws at the back of the keypad.
5. Remove the battery.
6. Wait for 5 minutes before inserting a new battery.
7. Insert a new battery (always use the correct battery type: see
Technical specifications). Make sure the polarity is correct.
8. Close the case using the screws.
9. Screw back the keypad to the surface with the mounting screws
10. Close the cover plates.
11. On the control panel, exit configuration mode.
WARNING
Do not puncture or throw batteries in fire as they might
explode.
Keep batteries away from children.
Power saving feature
The keypad only consumes power while used.
Whenever a key is pressed, the keypad will activate.
After 5 seconds of key inactivity, the power turns off again and
returns to stand-by mode.
7. Security code
You can set the security code:
When installing the keypad (see section 8).

At a later moment, provided you are in test mode (see section
11).
8. Installation
8.1 Set up connection between keypad and control panel
1. On first use, pull out the battery protection strip on the back.
2. Put the keypad in test mode:
enter the PIN code (factory default is 0000), then press ＊.
The keypad will sound 1 long beep and the green LED will blink.
3. On the CTC1000 control panel, go to the Add Device menu
(see chapter Managing devices in the control panel manual).
4. Refer to the control panel user manual to complete the learn-in
process.
5. When done, put the control panel in walk test mode (see section
Walk test in chapter Configuration in the control panel manual).
6. Hold the keypad in the desired location, press the ＊button and
then the 1 button to check whether the location is within range
of the control panel.
7. If you have chosen a proper location, you can attach the keypad
to the wall following the steps described below. You will now set
the pin code.
8. Press ＊then 6.
A long beep will be sound.
9. Enter the PIN code (default PIN code is 0000).
10. Press .
The keypad sounds a long beep.
11. Enter your new 4-digit code.
12. Press #.
The keypad sounds a long beep.
13. Press the Disarm button twice to exit test mode.
The keypad is now connected to the control panel.
8.2 Mounting the keypad
1. Remove both cover plates from the keypad (for example with a
small flathead screwdriver).

2. Using the 2 mounting holes as a template, mark off the positions
in the most appropriate place.
3. Insert the included wall plugs if fixing into plaster or brick
surface.
4. Attach the keypad using the included screws.
Make sure the tamper switch touches the wall.
5. Put back the 2 cover plates.
9. Understanding the LEDs
Green LED
The green LED indicates activity.
Green LED always on: the system is in normal operation mode.
Green LED flashes: the system is in test mode.
When the keypad is idle, all leds are off. After any key press, the
green active LED turns on for 5 seconds indicating that the keypad
is active.
The green LED will turn off after successful completion of a valid
keystroke sequence or when the pause in between key stokes is
longer than 5 seconds.
When the green LED turns off before a valid keystroke sequence is
completed (5 seconds), the previous entered keys are cleared.
Red LED
The green LED indicates connection.
The red LED flashes twice: the signal has been transmitted.
Orange LED
Orange LED flashes 5 times: battery is low (flashes during
operation).
Orange LED always on: tamper is triggered (on during operation).
When tamper alert and low battery are triggered together, the
orange LED turns is always on (during operation).
Notes
A short beep sounds with each key press.
If the user enters an invalid keystrok, the keypad will sound 4
continuous beeps.

10. Arming and disarming the alarm system
10.1 Key combinations with PIN code
When entering a wrong key combination, the keypad will sound 4
short beeps.

11. Test mode
You can use the test mode to avoid tamper alarm when installing,
replacing low batteries or moving the keypad to a different location.
To put the keypad in test mode:
Enter the PIN code (default: 0000) followed by ＊.
The green LED will flash, a long beep sounds.
To exit test mode, press twice.
The keypad will sound a long beep and the green LED will remain
lit.
Test mode: key combinations
In test mode, you can use the following key combinations:

Notes
When the keypad is in test mode, the power saving feature does
not apply.
If no key is pressed within 30 minutes, the keypad will return to
normal operation mode.
12. Tamper protection
The keypad is protected against any attempt to open the lid or to
detach the keypad from its mounting surface.
Tamper protection is disabled when in test mode.
When a keypad tamper is triggered, it will send a signal to the
control panel and the orange LED will turn on. In addition, while
using the keypad, orange LED will stay on to indicate the kp
tamper fault.
13. System reset
If you have forgotten the pin code or anything happened in the
keypad, you can reset the keypad to factory default.
After reset, the PIN code reverts to its factory default (0000).
After reset, you will need to set up the connection between the
keypad and the control panel.
To reset the keypad:
1. Remove the keypad from the wall.
2. Remove one of the batteries and release the tamper switch.

3. Press and hold the 3 key while putting back the battery.
4. Continue pressing the 3 button until you hear 3 short beeps.
The keypad is now reset.

1. Inleiding

dat, als het na zijn levenscyclus wordt weggeworpen, dit
toestel schade kan toebrengen aan het milieu. Gooi dit

3. Algemene richtlijnen
Raadpleeg de Velleman® service- en kwaliteitsgarantie
achteraan deze handleiding.
Laat het systeem installeren door een gekwalificeerde installateur.
Respecteer de plaatselijke wetgeving bij het installeren van een
alarmsysteem. Neem eventueel contact op met de plaatselijke
autoriteiten.
Bescherm het toestel tegen schokken. Vermijd brute kracht
tijdens de bediening van het toestel.
Bescherm het toestel tegen extreme hitte, stof en vochtigheid.
Leer eerst de functies van het toestel kennen voor u het gaat
gebruiken.
Om veiligheidsredenen mag u geen wijzigingen aanbrengen aan
het toestel.
Er zijn geen door de gebruiker vervangbare onderdelen in dit
toestel, behalve de batterij.
Gebruik het toestel enkel waarvoor het gemaakt is. Bij
onoordeelkundig gebruik vervalt de garantie.

6. Batterij
Het keypad functioneert met batterijen (reeds geplaatst).
Legebatterij-indicator
Het keypad is uitgerust met legebatterijdetectie. De
legebatterijdetectie functioneert zolang het toestel nog voldoende
energie heeft voor 4 maanden.
De batterij vervangen
1. Zet het controlepaneel in configuratiemodus om te beletten dat
het sabotagealarm getriggerd wordt (sabotagealarm is niet
actief in deze modus).
2. Verwijder beide afdekplaten (bijvoorbeeld met een kleine platte
schroevendraaier).
U kunt nu de muurschroeven bereiken.
3. Verwijder beide muurschroeven.
4. Verwijder de 2 schroeven aan de achterkant van het keypad.
5. Verwijder de batterij.
6. Wacht 5 minuten alvorens een nieuwe batterij te plaatsen.
7. Plaats een nieuwe batterij (gebruik altijd het juiste type
batterijen: zie Technische specificaties). Controleer of de
polariteit correct is.
8. Sluit de behuizing met de schroeven.
9. Schroef het keypad terug vast aan het oppervlak met de
montageschroeven.
10. Bevestig de 2 afdekplaten opnieuw.
11. Op het controlepaneel, verlaat de configuratiemodus.
WAARSCHUWING
U mag batterijen nooit doorboren of in het vuur gooien
(explosiegevaar).
Houd batterijen uit het bereik van kinderen.

Energiebesparende functie
Het keypad verbruikt enkel energie wanneer in gebruik.
Het keypad wordt geactiveerd door een willekeurige toets in te
drukken.
Na 5 seconden zonder een druk op de toetsen, wordt het toestel
opnieuw uitgeschakeld en keert het in standby-modus terug.
7. Beveiligingscode
De beveiligingscode instellen:
Wanneer u het keypad installeert (zie 8).
Later, wanneer het toestel zich in testmodus bevindt (zie 11).
8. Installatie
8.1 Het keypad met het controlepaneel verbinden
1. Verwijder bij het eerste gebruik het strookje dat de batterij
beveiligt (aan de achterkant van het toestel).
2. Selecteer de testmodus:
Geef de pincode in (standaard ingesteld op 0000) en druk
daarna op ＊.
U hoort een lange pieptoon en de groene led licht knippert.
3. Op het CTC1000 controlepaneel, ga naar het menu "Add Device"
(zie "Apparaten beheren" in de CTC1000 handleiding).
4. Raadpleeg de gebruikershandleiding van het controlepaneel om
het leerproces te voltooien.
5. Wanneer klaar, zet het controlepaneel in "Walk Test"-modus (zie
"Walk test" in de gebruikershandleiding van het controlepaneel).
6. Houd het keypad in de gewenste positie vast. Druk op ＊en
daarna op "1", om te controleren of de montageplaats zich
binnen het bereik van het controlepaneel bevindt.
7. Hebt u een geschikte plaats gevonden, bevestig dan het keypad
aan de muur zoals hieronder beschreven. Stel nu de pincode in.
8. Druk op ＊, daarna op 6.
U hoort een lange pieptoon.
9. Geef de pincode in (standaard ingesteld op 0000).
10. Druk op .
U hoort een lange pieptoon.
11. Geef uw nieuwe 4-cijfercode in.

13. Druk tweemaal op "Alarm uitschakelen", om de testmodus te
verlaten.
Het keypad is nu met het controlepaneel verbonden.
8.2 Het keypad monteren
1. Verwijder beide afdekplaten van de console (bijvoorbeeld met
een kleine platte schroevendraaier).
2. Gebruik de 2 montagegaten als sjabloon, om de correcte positie
te markeren.
3. Gebruik de meegeleverde muurpluggen voor het bevestigen aan
een gipswand of bakstenen muur.
4. Bevestig het keypad met de meegeleverde schroeven.
Zorg ervoor dat de sabotageschakelaar de muur raakt.
5. Plaats de 2 afdekplaten terug.
9. De leds
Groene led
De groene led wijst op activiteit.
Groene led altijd aan: het systeem bevindt zich in normale
werkmodus.
Groene led knippert: het systeem bevindt zich in testmodus.
Bevindt het toestel zich in standby-modus, dan zijn alle leds
uitgeschakeld. Bij het indrukken van een willekeurige toets, dan
licht de groene led 5 seconden op, om aan te duiden dat het
keypad ingeschakeld is.
De groene led licht op na indrukken van een correcte cijfercode of
wanneer er een pauze van 5 seconden tussen de toetsaanslagen
is.
Gaat de groene led uit nog voor u een correcte cijferreeks hebt
ingegeven (5 seconden), dan wordt de laatst ingevoerde
cijferreeks gewist.
Rode led
De rode led wijst op verbinding.
De rode led knippert tweemaal: het signaal is verzonden.

Oranje led
Oranje led knippert 5 keer: de batterij is bijna leeg (knippert
tijdens werking).
Oranje led altijd aan: sabotageschakelaar is getriggerd (aan
tijdens werking).
Worden de sabotageschakelaar en legebatterijdetectie gelijktijdig
triggered, dan blijft de oranje led branden (tijdens werking).
Opmerkingen
U hoort een korte pieptoon telkens u een toets indrukt.
Bij het indrukken van een ongeldige toets hoort u 4 pieptonen
kort na elkaar.
10. Het alarmsysteem in- en uitschakelen
10.1 Toetsencombinaties met pincode
Bij het ingeven van een verkeerde toetsencombinatie, hoort u 4
korte pieptonen.

11. Testmodus
U kunt de testmodus gebruiken om te beletten dat het
sabotagealarm getriggerd wordt tijdens het installeren, het
vervangen van lege batterijen of het verplaatsen van het keypad
naar een andere locatie.
Het keypad in testmodus zetten:

In testmodus wordt de energiebesparende functie gedeactiveerd.
Wanneer gedurende 30 minuten geen toets wordt ingedrukt, dan
keert het keypad naar de normale werkingsmodus terug.
12. Sabotagebeveiliging
De behuizing van het keypad kan niet worden geopend of
verwijderd van de montageplaats.
In testmodus, is de sabotagebeveiliging uitgeschakeld.
Wanneer de sabotageschakelaar van het keypad wordt getriggerd,
wordt een signaal naar het controlepaneel gestuurd en licht de
oranje led op. Bovendien, wanneer het keypad wordt gebruikt,
blijft de oranje led branden om de fout weer te geven.
13. Systeem resetten
Wanneer u de pincode bent vergeten, dan kunt u de
fabrieksinstellingen van het keypad terugzetten.
Na het resetten is de pincode opnieuw 0000 (fabrieksinstelling).
Na het resetten moet u het toestel opnieuw met het
controlepaneel verbinden.
Het keypad resetten:
1. Verwijder het keypad van de muur.
2. Verwijder één van de batterijen en reset de sabotageschakelaar.
3. Houd toets 3 ingedrukt terwijl u de batterij terugplaatst.
4. Blijf toets 3 ingedrukt houden tot u 3 korte pieptonen hoort.
Het keypad is nu gereset.
