o change the Volume Label in Windows, right-click on the drive in My Computer and then select
R
ename. To change the Volume Label in Mac OS, highlight the drive on the desktop and then
click on the drive name to edit. The new volume label will show on the display the next time the
display is refreshed.

he hard drive comes

re-formatted in FAT32 format. This format allows for o
p
eration with either
Win
d
ows or Mac OS.
If
y
ou want to format to NTFS
p
lease consult
y
our Windows documentation and select an
allocation unit size o
f
64K when
f
ormatting. Because calculating the amount o
f
f
ree space
f
or
l
arge NTFS
f
ormatted drives can take considerable time (up to 3 minutes in some instances),
there are special considerations
f
or using the InSight display
f
eature under NTFS:

…” and the blue LED will flash
while the drive is busy calculating the remaining

ree space. This process must complete

ully
before the dis

Once your
