1 Veiligheid
Waarschuwingsaanduidingen
In deze handleiding worden in verband met veiligheid de volgende
waarschuwingsaanduidingen gebruikt:
Gevaar
Geeft aan dat er een groot potentieel gevaar aanwezig is dat ernstig
letsel of de dood tot gevolg kan hebben.
WaarschuWinG
Geeft aan dat er een potentieel gevaar aanwezig is dat letsel tot ge-
volg kan hebben.
voorzichtiG
Geeft aan dat de betreende bedieningsprocedures, handelingen,
enzovoort, letsel of fatale schade aan de machine tot gevolg kunnen
hebben. Sommige VOORZICHTIG-aanduidingen geven tevens aan
dat er een potentieel gevaar aanwezig is dat ernstig letsel of de dood
tot gevolg kan hebben.
Let op
Legt de nadruk op belangrijke procedures, omstandigheden, enzo-
voort.
Symbolen
Geeft aan dat de betreende handeling moet worden uitge-
voerd.
Geeft aan dat een bepaalde handeling verboden is.
Geef de veiligheidsaanwijzingen door aan andere personen die de
E-Line motor bedienen.
Algemene regels en wetten met betrekking tot veiligheid en ter voor-
koming van ongelukken dienen altijd in acht te worden genomen.
2 Inleiding
Deze handleiding geeft richtlijnen voor de inbouw van de Vetus ELPS
E-Line motorbedieningshendel.
De kwaliteit van de inbouw is maatgevend voor de betrouwbaarheid
van het E-Line systeem. Bijna alle storingen die naar voren komen
zijn terug te leiden tot fouten of onnauwkeurigheden bij de inbouw.
Het is daarom van het grootste belang de in de installatieinstructies
genoemde punten tijdens de inbouw volledig op te volgen en te
controleren.
Eigenmachtige wijzigingen sluiten de aansprakelijkheid van de
fabriek voor de daaruit voortvloeiende schade uit.
• Zorg tijdens gebruik voor een correcte accuspanning.
WaarschuWinG
Verwisselen van de plus ‘+’ en min ‘—’brengt onherstelbare
schade toe aan de installatie!
Zorg er voor dat de eigenaar van het schip over deze handleiding kan beschikken.

3 Controle, proefdraaien en congureren van de bedieningspanelen
3.1 Inschakelen van een paneel
• Schakel het contactslot in.
• Zet het hendel in de neuraal stand. Druk rustig tweemaal achter
elkaar op de ‘AAN/UIT’ knop.
Na de eerste keer zal de LED blauw knipperen en de zoemer voort-
durend een signaal didididididi..... (. . . . . . .) geven. Binnen 6 seconden
moet de ‘AAN/UIT’ knop voor de tweede keer worden ingedrukt. De
LED (blauw) zal nu aan blijven; de zoemer bevestigd met een signaal,
dahdidah (- . -), dat het paneel gereed is voor gebruik.
Indien een tweede paneel is aangesloten zal de LED op het niet inge-
schakelde paneel knipperen (elke seconde twee korte blauwe itsen,
hartslag).
3.2 Uitschakelen paneel
Zet de hendel in de neutraal stand. Druk eenmaal lang op de 'AAN/
UIT' knop. Het paneel laat het signaal dididahdidah ( ..-.- ) horen.
• Schakel het contactslot uit.

3.5 Congureren van de panelen
• Voer de conguratie uit op het paneel dat voor het bedienen van
een bakboord of een stuurboord motor bestemd is, zie 3.6
De afgebeelde handelingen moeten op ELK geïnstalleerd paneel
worden uitgevoerd.
Let op
Houdt deze volgorde aan voor het congureren van de pane-
len:
1) Congureren van een paneel voor het bedienen van een bak-
boord of stuurboord motor (zie 3.6),
2) Congureren van een paneel voor de stuurstand waar het pa-
nel is geplaatst (zie 3.7),
3) Veranderen stuwkrachtrichting (dit alleen indien het noodza-
kelijk blijkt tijdens proefdraaien, zie 3.8)
Schakel alle bedieningspanelen uit (zie 3.2) en voer op het bedieningspaneel de volgende handelingen uit om de fabrieksinstellingen van het
betreende paneel te herstellen:
1. Druk de ‘AAN/UIT’ knop in
en houd deze 30 seconden
ingedrukt.
2. Na 30 seconden knippert de PWR LED, brandt de ECO LED
en hoort u het signaal, dah-di-di-di-dah ( - . . . - ). Laat nu de
‘AAN/UIT’knop los.

2 Introduction
This manual give guidelines for installing a Vetus ELPS E-Line motor
control lever.
The quality of the installation is decisive for the reliability of the E-
Line system. Almost all faults can be traced back to errors or inac-
curacies during installation. It is therefore imperative that the steps
given in the installation instructions are followed in full during the
installation process and checked afterward.
Unauthorised modications shall exclude the liability of the manu-
facturer for any resulting damage.
• During use ensure the correct battery voltage is available.

Changing over the plus (+) and minus (-) connections will
cause irreparable damage to the installation.

3 Checking, test running and conguring the control panels
3.1 Switching on a panel
• Turn on the key switch.
• Move the lever to the neural position. Gently press the "ON / OFF"
button twice in succession.
After the switch is pressed once the LED will ash green and the
buzzer will sound continuously didididididi..... (. . . . . . .) The ‘ON/OFF’
switch must be pressed a second time within 6 seconds. The LED
(blue) will remain on and the buzzer will conrm that the panel is
ready for use by giving the signal dahdidah (- . -).
If a second panel is connected the LED on the panel ‘which has not
been switched ON’ will ash (every second two short blue ashes,
heartbeat).
3.2 Switch o a panel
Press once the ‘ON/OFF’ button, the buzzer will reply with the signal
didididahdidah ( . . . - . - ).
• Turn o the key switch.
• Turn o the battery main switch when leaving the boat.

3.5 Conguring the panels
• Carry out the conguration on the panel intended to control a
port or starboard motor, see 3.6.
The operations shown must be carried out on each panel installed.

Keep to the following sequence for conguring the panels:
1) Congure a panel to control a port or starboard motor (see
3.6),
2) Conguring a panel for the steering position where the panel
is placed (see 3.7),
3) Change thrust direction (only if necessary during test runs, see
3.8)
Switch o all control panels (see 3.2) and perform the following actions on the control panel to restore the factory settings of the relevant
panel:
1 Press and hold the "ON /
OFF" button for 30 seconds.
2 After 30 seconds the PWR LED ashes, the ECO LED lights up
and you hear the signal, dah-di-di-dah ( - . . . - ). Now release
the 'ON/OFF' button.

2 Einleitung
Diese Anleitung enthält Richtlinien für die Installation eines Vetus
ELPS E-Line Motorsteuerungshebels.
Die Qualität der Installation ist entscheidend für die Zuverlässig-
keit des E-Line-Systems. Fast alle Störungen sind auf Fehler oder
Ungenauigkeiten bei der Installation zurückzuführen. Es ist daher
zwingend erforderlich, dass die in der Installationsanleitung an-
gegebenen Schritte bei der Installation vollständig befolgt und an-
schließend überprüft werden.
Nicht genehmigte Änderungen schließen die Haftung des Herstel-
lers für daraus resultierende Schäden aus.
• Stellen Sie während des Betriebs sicher, dass die richtige Batteries-
pannung vorhanden ist.

Das Vertauschen der Plus- (+) und Minusanschlüsse (-) führt
zu nicht reparierbaren Schäden an der Anlage.

3 Prüfen, Probelauf und Kongurieren der Steuerpulten
3.1 Einschalten eines Bedienpultes
• Schalten Sie den Schlüsselschalter ein.
• Bringen Sie den Hebel in die Neuralposition. Drücken Sie die Taste
"EIN / AUS" leichtzweimal hintereinander.
Nachdem der Schalter einmal gedrückt wurde, blinkt die grüneL-
ED und der Summer ertönt kontinuierlich dididididi..... (. . . . . . .) Der
"EIN/AUS"-Schalter muss innerhalb von 6 Sekunden ein zweites Mal
gedrückt werden. Die LED (blau) leuchtet weiter und der Summer
bestätigt die Betriebsbereitschaft des Panels mit dem Signal dahdi-
didah (- . -).
Wenn ein zweites Bedienpult angeschlossen ist, blinkt die LED des
nicht eingeschalteten Pultes (jede Sekunde zwei kurze blaue Blitze,
Herzschlag).
3.2 Ein Bedienpult ausschalten
Drücken Sie einmal die Taste 'EIN/AUS', der Summer antwortet mit
dem Signal didididahdidah ( . . . - . - ).
• Schalten Sie den Schlüsselschalter aus.
• Schalten Sie den Batteriehauptschalter aus, wenn Sie das Boot
verlassen.

Personen in einem sicheren Abstand zum Propeller benden!
3.5 Bedienfelder Kongurierung
• Führen Sie die Konguration für das Bedienfeld durch, das für die
Steuerung eines Backbord- oder Steuerbordmotors vorgesehen
ist, siehe 3.6.
Die gezeigten Vorgänge müssen an jedem installierten Bedienfeld
durchgeführt werden

Halten Sie folgende Reihenfolge einbei der Konguration der Be-
dienfelder:
1) Kongurieren Sie ein Bedienfeld zur Steuerung eines Backbord-
oder Steuerbordmotors (siehe 3.6),
2) Kongurieren Sie ein Bedienfeld für den Steuerpult, an dem das
Bedienfeld angebracht ist (siehe 3.7),
3) Ändern der Schubrichtung (nur bei Bedarf während Testläufen,
siehe 3.8)
Schalten Sie alle Bedienpulte aus (siehe 3.2) und führen Sie die folgenden Aktionen am Bedienpult durch, um die Werkseinstellungen des
jeweiligen Pultes wiederherzustellen:
1. Drücken und halten Sie
die "EIN/AUS" Taste für 30
Sekunden.
2. Nach 30 Sekunden blinkt die LED "PWR", die LED "ECO"
leuchtet und Sie hören das Signal "dah-di-di-dah" ( - . . . - ).
Lassen Sie nun die 'EIN/AUS'-Taste los.

3.6 Kongurieren Sie ein Bedienfeld für den Betrieb
eines E-Line-Motors an Backbord oder Steuerbord

gegebenen Reihenfolge durch:
ACHTUNG. Das Bedienfeld muss sich in der AUS-Stellung benden
(wenn sich das Bedienfeld NICHT in der AUS-Stellung bendet, drü-
cken Sie zuerst lange auf die Taste "EIN/AUS", um das Bedienfeld in
die AUS-Stellung zu drehen.
2. Bringen Sie das Bedienfeld in den Kongurationsmodus.
• Drücken und halten Sie die Taste 'EIN/AUS' für 10 Sekunden.

3.7 Kongurieren eines Bedienfelds für die Steuer-
position, in der das Bedienfeld platziert ist

Führen Sie die folgenden Aktionen an JEDEM Bedienfeld in der an-
gegebenen Reihenfolge durch:
ACHTUNG. Das Bedienfeld muss sich in der AUS-Stellung benden
(wenn sich das Bedienfeld NICHT in der AUS-Stellung bendet, drü-
cken Sie zuerst lange auf die Taste "EIN/AUS", um das Bedienfeld in
die AUS-Stellung zu drehen.
2. Bringen Sie das Bedienfeld in den Kongurationsmodus.
• Drücken und halten Sie die Taste 'EIN/AUS' für 10 Sekunden.

der Neutralstellung nach links oder rechts und wieder zurück bewegen. Die Farbe und das Blinken der
LED zeigen die Nummer des Steuerstandes an.
5. Drücken Sie die Taste EIN/

Sollte sich bei der Probefahrt herausstellen, dass die Bewegung des
Bootes entgegengesetzt zur Bewegungsrichtung des Hebels ist,
kann dies wie folgt eingestellt werden

Führen Sie immer die folgenden 2 Kongurationen
zuerst durch: - ob das Bedienfeld einen Backbord-
oder Steuerbordmotor bedienen soll (siehe 3.6)
und - an welcher Steuerstandposition das Bedien-
feld angebracht ist (siehe 3.7). Ändern Sie dann die
Schubrichtung dementsprechend.

2 Introduction
Ce manuel donne des directives pour l'installation d'un levier de
commande de moteur Vetus ELPS E-Line.
La qualité de l'installation est déterminante pour la abilité du sys-
tème E-Line. Presque tous les défauts peuvent être attribués aux er-
reurs ou aux inexactitudes lors de l'installation. Il est donc impératif
que les étapes données dans les consignes d'installation soient sui-
vies intégralement pendant le processus d'installation et vériées par
la suite.
Les modications non autorisées excluront la responsabilité du fa-
bricant pour tout dommage en résultant.
• Lors de l'utilisation, assurez-vous que la tension de batterie cor-
recte est disponible.
