CyberKey Vault 20S®
Mounting Instructions
Note: To open the Vault door, connect power to the Vault 20S and
scan an RFID card to open the door. The door will open to any
RFID access card if there are no CyberKeys in the Vault or if
the Vault is in demo mode (new from the factory). If neither
case is true, consult the CyberAudit-Web manual topic about
granting access to the Vault 20S.
Otherwise, the door can be manually opened by inserting a pin
through the access hole shown in Figure A to depress the door
release button after removing the card reader panel in Step 2.3.
There must be power connected to the tray to open the door.
1.1) Use the provided template to mark mounting locations
and cable routing cutout. At least one column of screw
holes must be situated over a wall stud.
1.2) Drill pilot holes as necessary. Install bottom four screws
into mounting surface using hex head or pan-head screws
with appropriate anchors. Use M6 or 1/4” screws. The
bottom of the screw heads should be between 0.100” and
0.150” from the wall.
2.1) Disconnect the power and any other peripherals that are
connected to the Vault.
2.2) Use a CyberKey to open the CyberLock on the left of the
card reader panel. Lift the panel outward from the left
and pull to disengage the tabs which hold it in place.
See Figure 1.
2.3) Disconnect the cables attached to the card reader
panel and set the panel aside. Disconnect the power
cable routed to the key tray. Note where the cables are
connected for reassembly after mounting is complete.
3.1) Remove the power supply shelf. Depress the tab on the
left side of the shelf and push through the slot in the case.
Swing the right side out until the shelf can be pulled out
of the case, catching the power supply as it falls free. See
Figure 2. Set the power supply and shelf aside.
