langen Funktionsgruppen zusammengesteckt werden (siehe Abbildung 2). Es kann auch mit
anderen Stellpulten (z.B. 5549) kombiniert werden.
You can put several push button panels 5548 together by using the enclosed connector (see
figure 2). It’s also possible to combine it with other Viessmann push button panels, for example
the 5549.

Achtung!
Alle Anschlußarbeiten sind nur bei abgeschalteter Betriebsspannung
durchzuführen!
Die Stromquellen müssen so abgesichert sein, daß es im Falle eines Kurz-
schlusses nicht zum Kabelbrand kommen kann. Verwenden Sie nur
handelsübliche und nach VDE / EN gefertigte Modellbahntransformatoren!

How to connect Semaphores with 3 Aspects
An dem Stellpult 5548 können dreibegriffige Form-Vor- oder Form-Hauptsignale von Viess-
mann einzeln oder auch kombiniert angeschlossen werden. Dazu werden die drei blauen Ka-
bel mit gelber, roter und grüner Markierung des Vorsignals und/oder die gleichfarbigen Kabel
des Form-Hauptsignals mit dem Stellpult verbunden, wie es in Abbildung 1 dargestellt ist. Pro
Schaltgruppe dürfen maximal 2 Signale angeschlossen werden.
You can connect Viessmann distant semaphores and Viessmann main semaphores with three
aspects to the push button panel. You can control the distant semaphore and the main
semaphore separatly or both in common. For that the three yellow, red and green marked blue
wires of the distant semaphore and the main semaphore have to be connected to the push
button panel 5548 like it is shown in figure 1. You can connect maximum 2 semaphores to each
push button group.
Das Stellpult mit Rückmeldung besitzt 6 separate Momenttaster in 2
Gruppen für die Steuerung von bis zu 4 Jede Gruppe besitzt 3
Tasten sowie eine rote, eine gelbe und eine grüne Leuchtdiode zur Rückmeldung der Stellung
der Signale.
Die Rückmeldefunktion ist speziell auf die dreibegriffigen -Formsignale abge-
stimmt. Dreibegriffige Signalen anderer Hersteller (insbesondere ohne Endabschaltung) kön-
nen keine Rückmeldung liefern. In diesem Fall leuchten je nach angeschlossenem Signaltyp
eine oder mehrere Leuchtdioden ständig.
Zur Ansteuerung des Signalsteuerbausteins 5210 ist dieses Stellpult nicht geeig-
net, da es durch den Meßstrom zu Fehlfunktionen des kommt.
Gleiches gilt für die Lichtsignale der Hobby-Serie sowie die Steuermodule 5220, 5221, 5222
und 5223.
Für die Steuerung von zweibegriffigen Formsignalen (Vor- und Hauptsignale) und Weichen
verwenden Sie bitte das speziell hierfür entwickelte Stellpult 5549.

The push button panel with return indication 5548 from Viessmann has got six separate mo-
mentary contacts and feedback LEDs (red, yellow and green) to indicate the semaphore as-
pect. The push buttons are organized into two groups, each with three push buttons.The panel
is suited for up to 4 semaphores with three aspects.
You can only use the return indication together with the Viessmann semaphores with three
aspects. Semaphores with three aspects from other manufacturer (especially without end
position switch) are not able to give feedbacks. In this case one or more return indication LEDs
will light permanently.
The push button panel 5548 is not suited for the Viessmann control module for colour light
signals 5210. The measure current of the 5548 will disturb the proper work of the 5210. This is
also valid for the colour light signals of the hobby series and the control modules 5220, 5221,
5222 and 5223.
To control theViessmann semaphores with two aspects (main signals and distant signals) and
turnouts please use the push button panel 5549. It has been developed especially for this kind
of items.
