Safety instructions
■ For showers, the DHW temperature
must not exceed 55 °C.
If necessary, have safety equipment
installed to prevent scalding.
■ Temperatures above approx. 43 °C
can cause a burning sensation,
particularly in children.
■ The fittings will also become hot after
an extended runtime.
■ In the case of appliances for
reheating, the water running into the
appliance may already be hotter than
the required temperature.
Consequently the water may be too
hot when it is drawn off.
■ To prevent it from overheating, do not
cover the appliance.
■ At all times comply with the operating
conditions specified on the type plate.
Operation of the appliance
■ Ensure that the water can flow freely
from the water outlet.
■ Do not install any fittings or
appliances that will obstruct the free
flow of water from the water outlet.
■ Regularly descale the water outlets at
the draw-off points, e.g. shower head,
aerator, taps.
■ Use only fittings, aerators and shower
heads that have been recommended
by the manufacturer.
Operating appliances in
non-pressurised installations
Caution
Incorrect ambient conditions may
damage the appliance and put safe
operation at risk.
■ Ensure ambient temperatures
above 0 °C.
■ Avoid air contamination through
halogenated hydrocarbons
(e.g. as contained in paints,
solvents and cleaning agents).
Avoid excessive dust, e.g.
through grinding/polishing work.
■ Avoid constant high humidity
levels (e.g. through continuous
drying of laundry).
Installation room requirements
Danger
Easily flammable liquids and
materials (e.g. naphtha/petrol,
solvents, cleaning agents, paints or
paper) can trigger deflagration and
fire.
Never store or use such materials
in the installation room or in the
immediate vicinity of the appliance.

there is a risk of electric shock.
■Isolate the appliance from the
power supply, e.g. at the
separate fuse or a mains isolator.
■Close the water supply pipe.
■Notify your heating contractor.
If water escapes from the appliance

If water escapes from the
appliance, there is a risk of
scalding.
Do not touch the hot water.
Faults on the appliance
■Isolate the appliance from the power
supply, e.g. at the separate fuse or
a mains isolator.
■ Close the shut-off valve of the cold
water supply.
■Notify your heating contractor.

Product information
The appliance is suitable for pressure-tested
and non-pressurised installation.
Venting
1. Switch off the power supply, e.g. at the
separate fuse or a mains isolator.
2. Open and close the hot water tap for
approx. 15 to 30 seconds respectively in
order to vent the water installation. Repeat
this process until a constant, even flow of
water is achieved.
3. Switch on the power supply.
Maintenance
1. Switch off the power supply, e.g. at the
separate fuse or a mains isolator.
2. Close the shut-off valve on the cold water
supply.
3. Undo the cold water supply pipe.
4. Remove the filter from the fittings of the
cold water supply.
5. Clean the filter.
6. Reinsert the filter.
7. Re-fasten the cold water supply pipe to
the appliance.
8. Open the shut-off valve on the cold water
supply.
9. Check the connections for leaks.
10.Vent the water installation as described in
the previous chapter.

Air in the water installation may damage
the appliance.
Vent the water installation after carrying
out work on the appliance or the water
installation.
Intended use
The appliance is used for the heating of
domestic hot water and can supply one or
more draw-off points as applicable.
The appliance is intended for domestic use.
It can be operated safely by untrained
persons. The appliance can also be used in
a non-domestic environment, e.g. in a small
business, as long as it is used in the same
way.
Any use that differs from or goes beyond this
is considered inappropriate.
Intended use also extends to compliance with
these instructions and with the instructions for
any accessories used.
The appliance is equipped with a differential
pressure switch.
The differential pressure switch automatically
switches on the heating function when
sufficient water flows through the appliance.
