General Information

Electrical Requirements
Check your local co es regar ing this unit.
This cooktop is supplie with a 3-wire, A.C.
208V/120 volt or 120V/240 volt, 60 HZ
electrical system. A white (neutral) is not
nee e for this unit. See next section for
groun ing instructions. It shoul be fuse
separately.
Refer to the specifications chart for kilowatt
rating an recommen e amperage. House
wiring an fusing must comply with local
co es. If no local co es are applicable, wire
in accor ance with the National Electrical
Co e, ANSI/NFPA 70-latest e ition.
Electrical Connection
When making the wire connections, use
the entire length of the con uit provi e
(3 feet). The con uit must not be cut.
Connect the re an black lea s from the
unit con uit to the correspon ing lea s in
the junction box. The bare groun wire in the
con uit is connecte to the unit frame. When
connecting to a 3-con uctor branch circuit,
connect the bare groun connector lea of
the unit to the branch circuit groun (bare
wire or green in color).

Final Preparation
• Some stainless steel parts may have a
plastic protective wrap which must be
peele off.
• All stainless steel bo y parts shoul be
wipe with hot, soapy water an with a
liqui cleaner esigne for this material.
If buil up occurs, DO NOT use steel wool,
abrasive cloths, cleaners, or pow ers!
Performance Checklist
A qualifie installer shoul carry out the
following checks:

1. Starting with the left front element, turn
the correspon ing knob to the Hi
position–Left front in icator shoul flash.
• If it is necessary to scrape stainless steel
to remove encruste materials, soak with
hot, wet cloths to loosen the material,
then use a woo or nylon scraper.
DO NOT use a metal knife, spatula, or
any other metal tool to scrape stainless
steel! Scratches are almost impossible
to remove.
2. Place an in uction compatible piece of
cookware onto the left front burner–Left
front in icator shoul be soli .
3. Remove cookware an repeat steps for
other elements.

Only authorize replacement parts may be use in performing service on the cooktop. DO
NOT repair or replace any part of the appliance unless specifically recommen e in the
manual. All other servicing shoul be referre to a qualifie technician.
