Throttle Console
For Operation of the Total Drive –
.
1. Movethe bed to Casterposition – button 9 on the handset.
2. Disconnectthe power cord from the wall socket.(must be
unplugged otherwise TOTAL DRIVE will not work)
3. Turn Co nsole Power “ON“ (1). A green light should turn on.
4. If you hear short beeps, you are in Reverse mode. In order to switch to
“forward” press button 3. Beeps will stop and you are in Forward mode.
5. Hold the headboard handles with two hands.
6. Make sure that the casters Lever is in Directional Lock (pedal up
position.
7. Press the Throttle in order to move the bed. The throttle is a adjustable. Short
push will move the bed slow, Pushing all the way will move the bed faster.
8. Moving backwards –Press Button 3 and short beeping will be heard. Now you
are in reverse mode. Push the throttle and bed will move backwards.

AFTER REACHING THE NEW LOCATION TO OPERATE THE BED
1. If you are in Reverse Mode, switch back to “Forward” by pressing button 3 on
the console and stop hearing beeps.
2. Lock the Bed casters.
3. Turn Off power of the Total Drive by pressing button 1. Green light will turn off.
4. If this is the stationary location of the bed, connect the power cable to the wall
socket.
Moving the TLB to the side
FOR MOVING THE BED TO THE SIDES, MAKE SURE CASTERS BREAK AND
DIRECTIONS LOCK ARE IN NEUTRAL (Pedal lever Center) .
It is possible to move the beds to all directions WITOUT the need of raising
the Total Drive from the floor
WARNING: Side rails must be in the raised position in order to
prevent patient from falling out of bed
CAUTION: The drive system is intended to move the TLB425T on flat
Level surfaces. If necessary, the drive system can transition and climb
up to a 5 degree incline with a patient.
Extra care should be taken when transitioning at the bottom and
top of ramps. Loss of traction at the drive wheels
CAUTION: Check the bed width and side rail adjustment for
doorway clearance to prevent damage to the bed and door
frames.
CAUTION: Keep hands and feet clear of wheels during bed
movement. Adjust Move of the bed only to safe walk.
