rechargeable batteries, regardless whether they contain harmful
substances or not, to a collection point run by the local authority or to a
retailer, so that they can be disposed of in an environmentally friendly
manner.

Description of the Symbols
The use of symbols in this manual is intended to draw your attention to
possible risks. The safety symbols and the explanations that accompany them must
be perfectly understood. The warnings in themselves do not remove the risks and
cannot replace correct actions for preventing accidents.

Class II symbol: this machine is designed with double insulation. It is not necessary
to connect it to an earthed power socket.
Indoor use only.
The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol indicates that the item should be disposed of
separately from household waste. The item should be handed in for recycling in
accordance with local environmental regulations for waste disposal. By separating a
marked item from household waste, you will help reduce the volume of waste sent
to incinerators or land-fill and minimize any potential negative impact on human
health and the environment.

Safety Instruction for Battery Charger
WARNING! Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the
warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injuries.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not
be made by children without supervision.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
Safety Instructions for the Battery Charger
Keep the battery charger away from rain or moisture. Penetration of water in the
battery charger increases the risk of an electric shock.
Keep the battery charger clean. Contamination can lead to danger of an electric
shock.
Before each use, check the battery charger, cable and plug. If damage is
detected, do not use the battery charger. Never open the battery charger
yourself. Have repairs performed only by a qualified technician and only using
original spare parts. Damaged battery chargers, cables and plugs increase the
risk of an electric shock.
Do not place any objects on the battery charger and do not place the battery
charger on soft surfaces. This is a risk of fire.
Always check that the mains voltage matches the voltage indicated on the rating
plate of the battery charger.
Never use the charger if cable, plug or the unit itself has been damaged by
external influences. Take the charger to your nearest service center.
Never open the battery charger.
Charge only rechargeable batteries listed on TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS.
Other types of batteries may burst causing personal injury and damage.

Charge the battery pack in temperatures above 0 degrees C and below 45
degrees C. Store tool and battery pack in locations where temperatures will not
exceed 49 degrees C. This is important to prevent serious damage to the
battery cells.
Do not recharge the battery in damp or wet environment. Do not expose the
charger to rain or snow. Water entering battery charger may result in electric
shock or fire.
Battery leakage may occur under extreme usage or temperature conditions.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes. The battery liquid is caustic and could cause
chemical burns to tissues. If liquid comes in contact with skin, wash quickly with
soap and water. If the liquid contacts your eyes, flush them with water for a
minimum of 10 minutes and seek medical attention.
Place charger on flat non-flammable surfaces and away from flammable
materials when recharging battery pack. Carpeting and other heat insulating
surfaces block proper air circulation which may cause overheating of the
charger and battery pack. If smoke or melting of the charger or battery pack is
observed, unplug the charger immediately and do not use the battery pack or
charger. Contact customer service immediately.
Make sure the power cord is located so that it will not be stepped on, tripped
over, or otherwise subjected to damage or stress. Damaged plug and cord may
result in electric shock or fire.
Disconnect the charger by pulling the plug rather than the cord. Do not operate
charger with damaged cord or plug, have them replaced immediately. Damaged
plug or cord may result in electric shock or fire.
Do not insert the battery pack in charger if battery pack case is cracked. Using
damaged battery pack may result in electric shock or fire.
Do not disassemble the charger or operate the charger if it has received a sharp
blow, been dropped or otherwise damaged in anyway. Incorrect reassembly or
damage may result in electric shock or fire.
Before each use, check the battery charger, cable and plug. If damage is
detected, do not use the battery charger. Never open the battery charger
yourself. Incorrect reassembly may result in electric shock or fire.
Do not use attachments not recommended or sold by Alfresia. Using
attachments not recommended may result in electric shock or fire.
Do not store the battery pack in charger. Battery pack stored in charger over a
long period of time could lead to battery pack damage and fire.

Unplug the charger from outlet before storage, attempting any maintenance or
cleaning. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of electric shock or
fire.
Keep the battery charger clean by blowing compressed air on charger vents and
wiping the charger housing with a damp cloth. Contamination may result in
electric shock or fire.
Replace the battery pack if a substantial drop in operating time per charge is
observed. Battery pack may be nearing the end of its life.
Intended Use
Chargers are exclusively suitable to charge these replace-able batteries: BT4020
Do not charge any other battery than those recommended.
Do not use this product in any other way as stated for normal use. Not observing
general regulations in force and instructions from this manual does not make the
manufacturer liable for damages.
Please note that our equipment has not been designed for use in commercial or
industrial applications. The warranty will be voided if the equipment is used in
commercial, trade or industrial businesses or for equivalent purposes.

Information to Ensure a Long Battery Service Life
CAUTION!
Never charge batteries at temperatures below 0 °C or above 45 °C.
Do not charge batteries in an environment which has high air humidity or at a high
ambient temperature.
Do not cover batteries and/or the battery charger during the charging process.
Disconnect the charger mains plug after charging the battery.
Battery and charger may heat up during the charging process. This is perfectly
normal.
If the batteries are not used for a prolonged period, store batteries partially charged
and in a cool location (10–25 °C).
NOTE
Follow the instructions for charging the battery in the operating instructions for the
electric power tool and the battery charger.
Reduced operating times after recharging indicates that the battery is worn out. The
battery must be replaced.

NOTE: The batteries are not fully charged on delivery. Before first use, fully charge
the battery.
The charger is exclusively suitable to charge the battery pack-BT4020. Charging
any other battery pack is not allowed.

CAUTION! Use only original batteries in the battery charger.

1. Insert the battery into the slot of charger，Make sure the battery and charger is
fully connected. (Fig.1)
2. Insert the plug to mains. When charge indicator light flashes green the battery is
charging. When the battery is fully charged, the LED light remains green. During the
charging procedure, the 4 LED lights of the battery light up one after the other and
briefly go out. The battery is fully charged when the three green indicators light up
continuously. (Fig.2)
3. To remove, press the release button and pull out the battery pack. (Fig.3)
4. Pull out the mains plug.
Battery Level Indicator
The battery pack is equipped with 4 LED lights that will display the current battery
level by pressing battery indicator button (a).

Battery capacity display
4 green LED lights are constantly burning between 75% -100%.
3 green LED lights are constantly burning between 50% -75%.
2 green LED lights constantly burns between 25% -50%
1 green LED lights constantly burning lower than 25%
If no LED lights come on, even after pressing the indicator button, the battery is
defective and needs to be replaced.
For safety reasons, the capacity of the battery can only be checked when the
machine has come to a complete stop.
NOTE: Batteries may become warm while charging. This is normal. If the battery is
hot after continuous use in the tool, allow it to cool down to room temperature before
charging. This will extend the life of your batteries.
WARNING: Always disconnect the battery pack from the tool before any
assembly, adjustments or changing accessories.
Maintenance and Storage
WARNING! Before cleaning the charger remove the mains plug. Do not use water
or liquid detergents.
Cleaning
Remove dirt and dust from the housing with a paint brush or dry cloth.
Storage
• Store the charger in a dry and frost-free place (10- 25 °C).
• Store the battery and the charger separately.
Transport
The equivalent lithium content of the batteries included in the product package is
below the appropriate limit values. Therefore the battery as an individual component
as well as the power tool and its product package are not subject to national or
international dangerous goods regulations. If several machines with lithium ion
batteries are transported, these regulations may become relevant and special

safety measures may be required (e.g. for the packaging). In this case find out
about the currently valid regulations for the country of use.
Disposal and Recycling
The equipment is supplied in packaging to prevent it from being damaged in transit.
The raw materials in this packaging can be reused or recycled. The equipment and
its accessories are made of various types of material, such as metal and plastic.
Defective components must be disposed of as special waste. Ask your dealer or
your local council.
WARNING! Do not throw chargers/batteries into the house hold waste, fire or
water. Do not open disused batteries. Chargers/batteries should be collected,
recycled or disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
Old devices must not be disposed of with household waste!

Our products are guaranteed for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase. Products that
develop a fault within this period are covered by our warranty and we will replace defective
parts, or where not available the whole product. The warranty does not apply to any defect in
the goods arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, accident, negligence by you or any
third party, use otherwise than as recommended by us, failure to follow our instructions, any
alteration or repair carried out without our approval or has been the subject of commercial use.
Your statutory rights remain unaffected, in particular any rights you have under the Consumer
Rights Act 2015.
If you have a problem with your product within this warranty period please contact our

In the event of changes to the specification of a product and we are not able to replace parts,
we will replace the whole product within the 2 year guarantee period
For products that fall outside of the 2 year guarantee, we will endeavour to provide spare parts
to purchase for as many of the replaceable parts as possible, but cannot foresee specification
changes or upgrades to products or parts outside of the initial 2 year period.

alle Warnungen und Anweisungen zum späteren Naschlagen auf.
Dieses Gerät kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren und von Personen mit eingeschränkten
körperlichen, sensorischen oder geistigen Fähigkeiten oder mangelnder Erfahrung
und mangelndem Wissen verwendet werden, wenn diese Personen über die sichere
Verwendung des Geräts unterwiesen wurden und sich über mögliche Gefahren

Sicherheitshinweise für das Ladegerät
Halten Sie das Ladegerät von Regen oder Feuchtigkeit fern. Das Eindringen von
Wasser in das Ladegerät erhöht die Gefahr eines Stromschlags.
Halten Sie das Ladegerät sauber. Verunreinigungen führen zu Stromschlägen.
Überprüfen Sie vor jedem Gebrauch das Ladegerät, das Kabel und den Stecker.
Verwenden Sie das Ladegerät nicht, wenn Schäden festgestellt werden. Öffnen Sie
das Ladegerät niemals selbst. Lassen Sie Reparaturen nur von einem qualifizierten

Lagern Sie den Akku nicht im Ladegerät. Wenn der Akku über einen längeren
Zeitraum im Ladegerät aufbewahrt wird, kann er beschädigt werden und einen
Brand verursachen.
Trennen Sie das Ladegerät von der Steckdose, bevor Sie es lagern und versuchen,
es zu warten oder zu reinigen. Solche vorbeugenden Sicherheitsmaßnahmen
verringern die Gefahr eines Stromschlags oder eines Brandes.
Halten Sie das Ladegerät sauber, indem Sie Druckluft auf die Lüftungsschlitze des
Ladegeräts blasen und das Gehäuse des Ladegeräts mit einem feuchten Tuch
abwischen. Verunreinigungen können zu Stromschlägen oder Bränden führen.
Tauschen Sie den Akku aus, wenn sich die Betriebszeit pro Ladung erheblich

Informationen zur Gewährleistung einer langen Batterielebensdauer
VORSICHT!
Laden Sie Akkus niemals bei Temperaturen unter 0 °Coder über 45 °C auf.
Laden Sie Batterien nicht in Umgebungen mit hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit oder
Umgebungstemperatur auf.
Decken Sie Akkus und / oder Ladegeräte während des Ladevorgangs nicht ab.
Ziehen Sie nach dem Laden des Akkus den Netzstecker des Ladegeräts.
Akku und Ladegerät können sich während des Ladevorgangs erwärmen. Das ist
völlig normal.
Wenn die Batterien längere Zeit nicht verwendet werden, lagern Sie diese teilweise
aufgeladen und an einem kühlen Ort (10 –25 °C).
HINWEIS
Befolgen Sie die Anweisungen zum Laden des Akkus in der Bedienungsanleitung
des Elektrowerkzeugs und des Akkuladegeräts.
Kürzere Betriebszeiten nach dem Aufladen zeigen an, dass der Akku verbraucht ist.
Die Batterie muss ausgetauscht werden.
Wenn die Batterien längere Zeit nicht verwendet werden, lagern Sie diese teilweise
