1. GENERALITES
1.1- Fonctions
Le TURBOTEST est un mélangeur conçu pour être utilisé
en laboratoire. Son usage varié, tant sur les mélanges
réalisés que sur les dimensions des béchers utilisés, ainsi
que l'adjonction des produits pendant le mélange,
nécessite son emploi par du personnel de laboratoire
qualifié. Sa conception simple et robuste, et son support
ergonomique à relevage assisté, en font un appareil facile
à manipuler. La grande variété de turbines (plus de 15
modèles) fait du TURBOTEST un mélangeur universel
pour les formulations en laboratoire. Son fonctionnement
silencieux et son boîtier de commande étanche le rendent
utilisable en salle blanche. Son utilisation à d'autres fins ou
sa modification physique conduirait VMI-RAYNERI à se
dégager de toutes responsabilités.

1.1- Properties
The TURBOTEST is a mixer designed to be used in
laboratory. Its varied usage, so on realized mixes that on

qualified. Its robust and simple idea, and its ergonomic
stay to power lifting, make some an easy machine to
manipulate. The large variety of turbines (more than 15
patterns) fact of the TURBOTEST a universal mixer for
formulations in laboratory. Its silent functioning and its
control panel render it usable in white hall. VMI-
RAYNERI is not responsible for other utilizations or
physical changes, except if we give prior written
agreement.

1.5- Avertissements
•Toute opération de maintenance, de réparation ou
d’entretien doit se faire par un personnel qualifié, avec
la machine hors tension.
•Il est strictement interdit d’introduire dans la cuve tout
objet ou corps étranger à la composition du produit.
•Ne jamais oublier de remettre ce manuel à l'utilisateur
final.
•Ce manuel devra être conservé avec soin afin d’assurer
le SAV. Dans toute correspondance, rappeler le
numéro de la machine (voir plaque d’identification sur
le côté de la machine).
Les renseignements contenus dans ce manuel peuvent
faire l’objet de modifications et d’améliorations sans
préavis.
2. IMPLANTATION
2.1- Aménagements préalables
•Emballage métropole :
L = 1000 mm ; l= 600 mm ; H = 350 mm ; P = 40 kg
•Cet appareil est prévu pour être installé sur une
paillasse, ou tout autre plan de travail.
•Dégager une surface sur une longueur d'environ 800
mm et sur une profondeur d'environ 600 mm
minimum.
•Veiller à un éclairage suffisant du futur poste de
travail.
•Le plan de pose doit être parfaitement plan et
horizontal, solide, stable et ne pas générer de vibrations
lors de la mise en route.
•Dans le cas contraire, par exemple une paillasse
carrelée, il faudra caler le support de façon stable et
durable.
•Si le Turbotest n'est pas installé dès la livraison, il
devra être stocké dans son emballage d'origine, dans un
endroit sec et abrité, et à température ambiante.
•Prévoir une prise de courant d'alimentation,
comportant une prise de terre adaptée au raccordement
des masses, à moins de 1 mètre de l'appareil.

1.5- Warnings
•Every maintenance, repair or overhauling operation
must be performed with duly qualified people with the
machine disconnected from the power supply.
•It is strictly forbidden to introduce in the bowl all type
of object useless to the product preparation.
•Never to forget to give manual to final user.
•This operating manual must be kept carefully in order
to make required maintenance. For any further
request, remind the machine serial number (see
identity plate fixed on the mixer side).
Information given within this manual may change and
improve without any notice.
2. IMPLANTATION
2.1- Prior arrangements
•Inland packing :
L = 1000 mm; l = 600 mm ; H = 350 mm, W = 40 kg
•This machine is designed to be installed on a pallet, or
any other plan to work.
•Release a surface on a length of approximately 800
mm and on a depth of approximately 600 mm
minimum.
•Watch to a lighting sufficing the future posts work.
•The plan of laying has to be perfectly plan and
horizontal, solid, stable and not to generate vibrations
during the placement on the way.
•In the other case, for example a pallet tiled, it will be
necessary to stall the support stable and durable.
•If the turbotest is not installed them the delivery, it
will have to be stocked in its wrapping of origin, in a
sheltered and dry place and to a room temperature.
•To anticipate a plug of feeding current, comprising a
plug of earth adapted to the connection of masses,
within 1 metre of the machine.

2.2- Emballage - Manutention
•L'emballage comporte 2 découpes (poignées) aux
extrémités pour la manutention.
•A réception, contrôler immédiatement le contenu du
colis et avertir le transporteur si des dégradations se
sont produites.
•Pour le déballage, procéder de la façon suivante :
Mettre le colis à plat en respectant les indications Haut et
Bas.
Ouvrir le colis et enlever les cales de polystyrène.
Retirer la pochette plastique contenant la sangle du fixe
bécher et les 4 clés.
Retirer la pochette air bulle contenant l'arbre et la turbine.
Sortir l'appareil de la caisse et le poser sur le plan de
travail.
3. MISE EN SERVICE
3.1- Préambule
•Vérifier que la tension d'alimentation du Turbotest
(230 V - monophasé) indiquée sur la face arrière du
boîtier correspond à la tension du réseau.
•Desserrer le bouton Bakélite situé à gauche sur le
coulisseau, et remonter le coulisseau en position haute.
•Monter l'arbre d'agitation à l'aide des 2 clés plates
fournies (clés de 10 et de 14)
•Prérégler la position du fixe bécher par l'intermédiaire
d' 1 poignée Bakélite.
•Brancher le Turbotest sur le secteur par le câble
d'alimentation fourni (longueur 2 mètres).
•Câble d'alimentation avec prise moulée (16A) phase,
neutre et terre.
Nota :
Pour des applications spéciales, vous pouvez régler la
hauteur de turbine en position basse par le réglage de la
butée située sur la colonne de gauche, à l'aide de la clé 6
pans livrée avec l'appareil.
Pour le démontage de la turbine, utiliser les 2 clés plates
de 14.
2.2- Packing and Handling
•The packing comprises 2 carve (handles) to
extremities for the handling.
•To reception, control immediately the content of the
parcel and to warn the transporter if degradations have
happened.
•For the unpacking :
Put the parcel to flat respect some indications High
and Low.
Open the parcel and to remove shims of polystyrene.
Remove the plastic pouch containing the strap of the
fixed Beaker and 4 keys.
Remove the air pouch bubble containing the spindle
and the turbine
Exit the machine of the case and to pose it on the
working surface.
3. COMMISSIONING
3.1- Setting up
•Check that the power supply of the turbotest (230 V-
one phase) indicated on the back face of the panel
corresponds to the network supply.
•Unscrew the Bakelite plug placed on the left side on
the slide, and lift the slide in high location.
•Lift the spindle with the 2 end wrenches supplied (key
of 10 and 14).
•Adjust the position of the fixed Beaker with a bakelite
handle.
•Connect the turbotest the to power supply with the
cable supplied (length 2 meters).
•Supply cable with the plug (16 A), phase, wire and
ground.
Nota :
For special using, you can adjust the turbine height in
low position by adjusting the stop placed on the left
column, with the 6 sides wrench supplied in the machine.
For the turbine dismantling, use the 2 end wrenches of
14.

3.3- Mode opératoire
Important : avant et après toutes utilisations, ramener le
potentiomètre de la vitesse de l'outil à zéro.
•Mettre le bécher en place.
•Serrer le bécher à l'aide du fixe bécher et de la sangle.
•Rabaisser le coulisseau et positionner la turbine à la
hauteur de travail désirée.
•Serrer le coulisseau en position par l'intermédiaire du
bouton bakélite.
Utilisation du TURBOTEST
Mode manuel
Le mode manuel permet de faire fonctionner l’appareil à
une vitesse réglable pendant une durée illimitée. Un
chronomètre affiche le temps écoulé.
L'appareil est en manuel à la mise sous tension.
Sinon pour passer en mode manuel, appuyer sur la touche
jusqu’à ce que l’afficheur indique "ARRET MANUEL".
Appuyer alors sur la touche marche pour démarrer le moteur.
La vitesse de démarrage est toujours de 100 t/min.
Ajuster ensuite la vitesse désirée à l’aide des touches
et . Vitesse maxi : 3300 t/mn.
La vitesse et le couple sont affichés pendant le
fonctionnement. Il est possible de remettre le couple à zéro
en appuyant simultanément sur les touches et .
Pour arrêter le moteur, appuyer sur la touche .
Mode automatique
Le mode automatique permet de faire fonctionner l’appareil à
une vitesse préréglée pendant une durée préréglée.
Pour passer en mode automatique, appuyer sur la touche
jusqu’à ce que l’afficheur indique "ARRET AUTO"
Avant de démarrer le moteur, la vitesse et la durée de
fonctionnement désirées doivent avoir été programmées.
Pour programmer la consigne de vitesse, appuyer sur la
touche , puis utiliser les touches et pour
obtenir la valeur. L’affichage de la valeur clignote pendant
le réglage.
Lorsque le réglage est correct, appuyer sur la touche .
Pour programmer la consigne de durée de fonctionnement,
appuyer sur la touche , puis utiliser les touches
et pour obtenir la valeur. L’affichage de la valeur

3.3- How to operate
Important : before and after every running, turn the tool
speed potentiometer to 0.
•Place the beaker
•Tighten the beaker with the fixed beaker and the strap.
•Lower the slide and place the turbine to the desired
working height.
•Tighten the slide in location with the bakelite plug.
How to operate
Manual mode
With this mode, you can run as long as you want with an
adjustable speed. You can read the time on the screen.
When you connect the machine, it is automatically in
manual mode.
If not, to obtain the manual mode, press the touch
until you read "STOP MANUAL".
Press then the touch start to start the motor.
The speed starting is always 100 rpm.
Adjust the speed with the touches and .
Speed maxi : 3300 rpm.
During the running, you can read the speed and the
couple. Reset the couple by pressing at the same time
and .
To stop the motor, press .
Automatic mode
To use this mode, adjust the time and the speed.

L’appareil va alors fonctionner à la vitesse désirée pendant
la durée sélectionnée.
La vitesse et le couple sont affichés pendant le
fonctionnement. Il est possible de remettre l'affichage du
couple à zéro en appuyant simultanément sur les touches
et .
Le fonctionnement du moteur peut être arrêté à tout
moment en appuyant sur la touche .
•Desserrer le coulisseau et le remonter en position
haute.
Important : Il est indispensable de serrer le bécher avec
la sangle pour obtenir l'autorisation de mise en marche.
Utilisation :
Rep 1 : point de départ pour la chaîne ou la sangle.
Ramener le levier Rep 2 vers l'avant et passer l'élément de
serrage (chaîne ou sangle) dans le crochet Rep 3.
Pour la sangle, revenir vers le Rep 1 pour mettre en
contact les parties velcro.
Optimiser le serrage à l'aide du Rep 2.
3.4- Montage de
l'émulseur (de type rotor/stator)
•Démonter l'arbre à l'aide des 2 clés plates de 10 et de 14.
•Monter l'émulseur en positionnant le doigt du stator
dans l'encoche situé sur le flasque du moteur.
•Serrer l'arbre central (rotor) à l'aide des clés.
Attention : le mauvais montage du doigt d'indexage peut
provoquer des dégâts matériels (voir photos en annexe).

3.4- Emulsifier assembling
(Rotor-Stator type)
•Dismantle the spindle the 2 end wrenches of 10 and 14.
•Lift the positioning the stator dog in the hole placed
on the motor slack.
•Tighten the main spindle (rotor) with the wrenches.
Warning : the bad setting of the indexing dog can
provoke material damages (see photos in annexe).

4. CONSEILS D'UTILISATION
4.1- Consignes de sécurité
•L'opérateur devra être suffisamment qualifié pour
assurer le bon réglage du dispositif de sécurité.
•Dans le cas de risques de projection ou
d'éclaboussures, réduisez immédiatement la vitesse de
l'outil.
•Ne jamais faire tourner l'arbre d'agitation à vide à
grande vitesse.
•Ne jamais faire tourner l'arbre d'agitation à basse
vitesse (< 300 t/mn) pendant trop longtemps.
4.2- Contre-indications
Important : le fonctionnement de cet appareil est interdit
en milieu explosif ou inflammable.
•Dans de tels cas, consultez-nous.
•Lors de mélange de produits dangereux pour l'homme,
prendre toutes les précautions nécessaires pour éviter
tous contacts. En particulier, éliminer tous les risques
de projections ou d'éclaboussures.
5. MAINTENANCE
Avant toute opération, mettre le Turbotest hors tension.
Nettoyage :
•Essuyer les colonnes régulièrement avec un chiffon sec.
•Nettoyer le reste de l'appareil avec une éponge humide.
•Après chaque utilisation, nettoyer les outils à l'eau
chaude, ou éventuellement avec un solvant chloré,
aromatique (toluène, white spirit,...) ou de l'acétone.
•Nous consulter pour des applications spécifiques.
•Ne jamais utiliser de produits abrasifs.
Moteur : changement des balais
Ne jamais désaccoupler le rotor du stator sous peine de
démagnétisation définitive.
•Contrôler une fois par an les balais en retirant les deux
bouchons placés de part et d'autre du moteur.
En cas d'usure :
•Enlever les balais usagés.
•Replacer les balais neufs.
•Remettre les deux bouchons.
Fusible :
•Retirer le bouchon du porte fusible, placé à l'arrière du
boîtier de commande, à l'aide d'un tournevis.
•Changer le fusible en respectant impérativement le
calibre.
•Replacer le bouchon du porte fusible.
4. ADVICE FOR UTILIZATION
4.1- Safety instructions
•The operator will have to be enough qualified to insure
the good adjustment of the device of security.
•In the case of projection or splash risks reduce
immediately the speed of the tool.
•Never to make turn the spindle of agitation to large
void speed.
•Never to make turn the spindle of agitation to low
speed (< 300 rpm) during too long.
4.2- Contra-indications
Important : the running of this machine is forbidden in
explosive area or flammable.
•In theses case, call us.
•During harmful product mix for the man, take all
necessary precautions for avoid all contacts. Especially,
eliminate all projections or splash risks.
5. MAINTENANCE
Before every operation, switch off the Turbotest.
Cleaning :
•Wipe columns regularly with a dry rag
•Clean the rest of the machine with a humid sponge
•After each utilization, clean tools to the hot water, or
possibly with a solvent chlorinated, aromatic (toluen,
white spirit...) or the acetone.
•Call us for specific applications.
•Never to use abrasive products.
Motor : sweep change
Never to slip the rotor from the stator because of risk of
final demagnetization.
•Check once year the sweeps by removing the two plugs
placed on the sides motor.
In case if damage :
•Remove the used sweeps.
•Replace the new sweeps.
•Replace the two plugs.
Fuses :
•Remove the plug of the fuse holder, placed on the back
side of the control panel, with a screwdriver.
•Change the fuse by respecting imperatively the caliber.
•Replace the plug of the fuse holder.

6. DYSFONCTIONNEMENT
Le coulisseau est dur à manoeuvrer :
•Contrôler le desserrage du bouton bakélite situé à
gauche sur le coulisseau.
•Contrôler le bon état du câble.
•Contrôler l'état de propreté des colonnes de guidage.
Le coulisseau reste en position basse :
•Contrôler l'état du câble.
•Contrôler les points d'accrochage du câble sur le
coulisseau et sur le contrepoids.
L'outil ne tourne pas :
•Contrôler le bon serrage du bécher.
•Contrôler le fusible.
•Contrôler l'état des balais du moteur.
•Contrôler l'état du fin de course du coulisseau.
•Vérifier le fusible.
6. TROUBLE SHOOTING
The slide is shard to manipulate :
•Check that the bakelite plug placed on the left side of
the slide is unscrewed.
•Check the cable.
•Check the cleaning of the guidance columns.
The slide stays in low position :
•Check the cable
•Check the catching points of the cable on the slide and
the counter weight.
The tool does not turn :
•Check the good locking of the Beaker.
•Check the fuse.
•Check the motor sweeps.
•Check the limit switch of the slide
•Check the fuse.
